the fact that it is so close to Lassen Volcanic National Park is it's best feature....that and the women who own and run the place. although is is kinda if run down we still had a fun time staying there. Our group is very diverse so having the motel, camping, restaurant, bar and store all in one place made it...

We chose to stay at the lodge because of it's close proximity to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Upon arrival it seemed almost that we were staying at a lumber yard due to vast array of logs and machinery parked next to all the rooms. The rooms are very basic with no tv, phone or hairdryer. If you enjoy basic and rustic...

This is in a great location for Lassen national park. However the facilities are very poor value for money. The room needed alt of maintenance. The shower dripped all night. The room ha not been modernised in years . The whole place needs a good make over. The shop hardly stocked any fresh food. The coffee and tea machine was...

The title to my review is the only good aspect of this Lodge. I hope the young couple running this place can make it work. Rooms are at best spartan, bathroom in our room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The shower had mold in it as well a lot of hair,we opted to not shower.

I have mixed emotions about this place. It is old and offers the most basic and spartan accommodations. However, if you want to stay close to Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park, it is the only game in town. The entrance to Lassen is only 9 miles away. The next option is three times the distance. They have no phones, TV,...

We chose this motel because of it's proximity to Lassen National Park. When we arrived the gentleman who checked us in was barely communicative. When we went to our assigned room the first thing that strikes you is the disrepair the structure has fallen into. Entering the room we found it to be musty smelling with the distinct oder of...

We stayed at the Lodge in early March. I think there are only 3 rooms open then, because the roads through Lassen Volcanic Park are closed in Winter (you can still go to the visitor's center and play in the snow- or hike/ski/snowshoe to the sulfur works). The rooms were clean, well heated, and very comfortable, and the management didn't...

I've stayed at MANY rural roadside motels similar to the MIneral lodge and none of them are as clean and comfortable. The rooms have been recently renovated too. I stayed in the middle of the winter on a weekday so I was the only guest that night. I called ahead and the manager left the door unlocked for me because...

If you are visiting Lassen Volcanic parc this is a good place to stay. Nearby the parc, there is a shop and a restaurant. The rooms have everything you need, but are basic, you can sit outside and have a glass of wine (which you bought earlier on somewhere in Napa). The rooms are located somewhat away from the road,...
