This was a comfortable and clean property. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. While the room was comfortable, maintenance to the property needs to be addressed. The floor in the bathroom had been torn up from a previous issue and should have been fixed prior to the room being occupied again.

We have stayed here several times and usually get a suite. It is scheduled for remodeling and it is time. The bathroom really needed to be remodeled. The tile in the bathroom were loose. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a little lite a couple of days. They had run out of several things. The girls enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We will stay here again.

Staff was nice, but room smelled very musty, and humid, couldn't get the air conditioner regulated, and the carpet was so filthy that my white socks I wore just in the morning while I was getting ready, were so black I will never get them clean. So thankful I didn't walk on the carpet in my bare feet. I just wanted a nice place to meet my sister for a sister's weekend, so disappointing. The worst part was I booked it for two nights and since we didn't arrive till 8:00 p.m. the first night I couldn't cancel the second night without being charged a penalty. Definitely not worth the $170 plus that I paid per night! Definitely not the quality I would expect from Holiday inn Express. I attached a picture of my previously clean white socks, honestly I only wore them for less than an hour in the room, and maybe only made 10 trips across the floor because I was in the bathroom most of the time getting ready. I asked for compensation because it wasn't worth the price I paid and was told that they weren't authorized to do that.

Contacted IHG about needing to change hotel locations due to rapidly declining health of a family member. Advised by IHG Reservations that because room was booked with rewards points that points would be refunded to account if I did not check in. Instead my card was charged $171 by this hotel. Contacted IHG and was told that a refund was up to the hotel manager. Contacted the hotel manager and was told that refund was “not possible because of IHG Corporate policy.” Hotel manager very rude and said “nothing I can do.” However, another IHG location was more than accommodating due to the same circumstances and did not charge my card. IHG policy applies to one location but not another??? Who’s being dishonest? Refund my points and then turn around and charge my card? Poor business practice and management!!! IHG is losing a loyal, frequent customer!

I was expecting great things out of this hotel, however I was sadly disappointed. Upon my arrival to the hotel, the front desk was pleasant. They gave me the keys to my room, but as soon as I opened the door, I noticed a hole kicked into the bathroom door, loose wires in the refrigerator, and that the lights above the bed were flickering. I immediately returned to the front desk to ask for a new room as this was unacceptable.
The second room I received was better, however it had no toilet paper in it. Additionally, the toilet had urine at its base which meant that it had also not been cleaned. At this point I was severely tired and cleaned the area myself since I had Clorox with me--at least I knew it was clean.
When I checked out and shared my displeasure with the stay, I was met with the excuse that they did not have enough housekeepers. The maintenance man even chimed in to let me know that although he was maintenance he, too was cleaning rooms.
Long story short: Don't stay here.

Dear 381ce, I hope you are doing well today. I understand your disappointment with your stay, and I apologize. I'm sorry you felt like the room was not up to your standards. We pride ourselves in being clean and efficient in getting things repaired as soon as we become aware of an issue. I am amazed of all the things you noticed wrong when you first stepped into the room, we really fell short there. I am sorry that you feel the need to carry Clorox with you when you travel, as we have all the sanitizing products here on site at all times, and are glad to reclean anything you ask for. While it is true we are short on help that is a fact and not an excuse for anything not being top notch, I again am sorry. We are genuinely concerned and will look into all of these issues as we go forward. I appreciate you sharing your experience, and am confident it won't happen again. Please consider giving us another try when things are back to normal.

I put a colleague up at this hotel last week and sent my authorization form the same day I booked it to Pam Devereaux who I believe is the front desk manager. When my colleague checked in, the front desk told her she would need a CC to check in despite having my authorization form. She was not permitted to check in until she presented her personal credit card. A week later, her deposit had yet to be refunded. When I called back today, Pam told me that the authorization form went to her spam folder even though it was a reply to the thread she sent originally sent the authorization form in. After making it clear that I had indeed sent the authorization form, she offered a weak apology and told me there was nothing they could do now and that the deposit was probably hung up at the bank. The lack of accountability at this hotel makes it a poor choice for business travel.

Dear Discover, I apologize for not meeting your expectations on this reservation. When you requested a credit card authorization we were not aware that you had booked through a third party, or we would not have sent you one as we do not accept those when the reservation had been paid for already. Everyone that checks in has to have a identification and personal credit card for incidentals. Sorry about the miscommunication. The guest did present her own cc which a $10.00 incidental fee was held, and released upon check out. It is true we are not responsible for the bank company's policies on release of deposits. We released it that very day she checked out. since we have never used a cc authorization for the $10.00 hold before I'm sure the front desk agent did not know about it and was just doing a normal check in paid by a third party. My apology was sincere and I did say that she should check with her bank for the release as I have no control over the banks policies, which is the truth and I didn't know what else to tell you as we have never had an issue before like this. I am truly sorry if this presented a problem for the guest, how ever we were not made aware of this as we certainly would have changed our handling of the issue for her. Please give us another try so that we might make up for this error.

SERVICE DOGS NOT WELCOME!!!!! We have a service dog and they did not want to allow him. Challenged us since he was a bigger dog. I had all our paperwork but it did not matter. Told them fine - refund my room and we will find other accommodations. They said that they cannot refund our room. After a big stink, they let us stay but no one was happy!

We've traveled all over the states & in many parts of the world and this is one of our top places to stay. Reasonably priced, clean, friendly, well-located, and having every amenity - indoor swimming pool, laundry facilities, suites, coffee makers, refrigerators, freshly-baked cookies, a cozy fireplace, and more - a business center,meeting room, breakfast room hosted by a phenomenal woman "Ida Mae" who is 85 and awesome and makes a great waffle! Breakfast is included in the price. There is free access to a huge health club - a 2 minute walk away. We've stayed there many many times - had Christmas gatherings there. The staff is welcoming, flexible and helpful. I find myself telling total strangers that this is the best place to stay in town - for business or pleasure, for a night or a few weeks' in Omaha. I almost hesitate to recommend it, because we always want a room available for our next trip!

I had consulted this site before choosing where to stay in Omaha, and I am glad I did. This was the best overall motel experience we have ever had, in this price range. The rooms were clean and comfortable and well laid-out, the kingsize bed was comfortable and guess what?--it had a fitted bottom sheet! You don't find that anywhere else.
The pool is a bit small for lap swimming, but adequate for lazing around in and doing some short laps. The hot tub is great, too.
But the key feature of the hotel is the friendliness of the staff, from the desk people to Ida Mae, your breakfast cook and matron of the dining room where your complimentary breakfast is located. Not only do you get an assortment of doughnuts (Krispy Kreme), but also English muffins, bagels, breads, biscuits, gravy, cereal, fruit, coffee and two juices. Then there's Ida Mae's fresh baked Belgian waffles. Ida Mae is a jewel, an 85-year-old woman with the heart and spirit of a much younger woman. She not only cooks your waffles and brings them to you, but she cleans up your table for you, like a waitress. And she's a good chatter if you take the time to speak to her, as we did.
If I ever go back to Omaha--and you should go for the zoo, the art museum and Western Heritage Museum, the botanical gardens, and the Old Market--I will most certainly stay at the Country Inn & Suites West again. With pleasure.

I am guessing it will be complete by Aug 18. 3 floors - 1st and 3rd complete now, working on 2nd floor.
Remodeled room we had was clean and new. I recommend - and you must meet Sheila, serves breakfast.
I would call the hotel. But there is also an online services — search "park sleep fly" — that often offer better deals.
