Well, it was a cheap stay. The gal at the front desk was nice, but the room was disappointing. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and the tub drained incredibly slow. Not to mention the toilet was loose. I don't know if there was a smelly food party going on during our stay, but it reeked all night. But for something nice to say, the bed was comfy and the towels weren't half bad. They were small, but not scratchy.
The staff were friendly, but not very warm and inviting. This place is gross. The main lobby looks ok and the exterior of the building at night looks decent. As soon as I walked into the hallway I could tell I should have left. The rooms was disgusting in both smell and appearance. The bed was very worn out, the sheets and bed skirt were stained, the carpet was stained, as well as the ceiling from water spots. I would not recommend this place.
Not what I expected from a la Quinta I’ve stayed at them previously and was way more impressed this location was worse than most of the super 8 that I’ve stayed in I enjoy your brand but this location is not a landmark property for you which is sad
1. The room smelled BAD (I actually put a bar soap in the AC unit to try to diffuse the bad smell. It didn't work! 2. The shower/bath water adjustment handle had no markings on it- I had to guess where the hot water was; 3. HORRIBLE breakfast- all carbs and no protein- really, a child's brand of regular yogurt; 4, Ice machine on 1st floor did not work- I had to go to the second floor to get ice (where it smelled worse than the 1st floor); 5. "Breakfast" was not available at 6am- when I asked clerk, she said, "I was getting it ready when you hit the bell." The breakfast was Rice Crispies, milk, a packaged muffin, and a child's yogurt (other locations on my trip offered eggs- which is more balanced as a protein).
DAWN OF THE DEAD REVIEWER WAS DEAD ON!! My husband and I usually stay at a 2 star hotel. So I am in no way a 4 star princess. This is below a ONE star!! The hallways smelled funky.. but that was NOTHING on how the room smelled. After lysol and wiping everything down we slept on top of beds with our own blankets over the bed. If we were not just staying here to get a few hours of sleep we would not have stayed. People checking in before us were 38 cents short for room and the manager said .. don't worry about it you are here all the time. Made me leary! THEN there were randoms walking the parking lot all over!! Drugs? Weird? SKETCHY. The only good thing I can say is there are plenty of restaurants around. BUT stay somewhere else!
