I had a corner suite booked with the Omaha Downtown Hilton. I booked it over a month ago for my daughter's basketball tournament located in the CHI center attached to the Hilton. Today, I called booking to see if I could add an extra day to the booking. The woman told me that the extra day wasn't available, but said "let me see what I could do", then proceeded to cancel my booking then told me that the room I had was no longer available and there were not any rooms available. When i told her I did not want my reservation cancelled and wanted my reservation back, she hung up on me. I called back and talked to a man who also told me there was nothing he could do, because all the rooms were gone. He connected me to the front desk and a woman there told me she had no idea why the booking was cancelled but there were no rooms and there was nothing she could do. So, even though I booked my room a month in adavance, it was gone and no one could help me. I no longer have a room and have to find a new place to stay, farther from the tournament, when all I wanted to do was add an extra day to my reservation. It seems preposterous that I could be treated this way and just be told "there is nothing we can do" from everyone I spoke to. I guess my only recourse is to find as many places to leave negative reviews, realizing no one will probably do anything for me, but I thought I would try.…

We enjoyed our stay at this full-service hotel. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable and appeared to have been recently updated. The personnel we encountered were friendly. The location is convenient to the convention center and Old Town.

Fewer amenities than a budget hotel. Rooms seem to have been refreshed a bit since the last time I stayed here but overall, nothing great. Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash attached to the wall in the shower/tub and a bar of soap at the sink...but no lotion, makeup wipes cotton swabs or anything like that. Room had a mini-fridge but not even a bottle of water in the room. There is in and out parking. Location is convenient to convention center. But there are more upscale options next door.

Be warned this hotel has NO housekeeping....one must request to have their room cleaned, and even after making a request it was not cleaned. The room service from last night still outside the door at 4:00 pm. There is also NO housekeeping at all on the weekends. The towels are dirty and disgusting , there is no water pressure in the shower and the bathroom smells like mold. The worst Hilton (or any hotel) experience ....traveler beware!

Dear 574mollyo, I am sorry about your stay, and it has resulted with this review. I do hope we can discuss further details as I am sure if we could spend some time together better understanding your needs, and we can get some resolution. My cellphone number is 612-432-3506. Until then, I do want readers to be up to date with our standards and team members. We have a very proud housekeeping team that services Nebraska's largest hotel on a daily basis. Our current housekeeping service scores are in the upper tier for Hilton. Still, it appears we did not follow through on some of our standard procedures. I am sorry about this. At the same time, we do ask the guests to inform us: a) if they would like stay over housekeeping service scheduled for the next day b) inform us the best window of time the room is unoccupied. We try to clearly communicate this through 4 high guest touch point platforms, and maybe you missed this. As we've heard from guests, this is helpful in planning their day so we can access the room and prevent wasting time (and intruding on guests) when service is not needed. Lastly, we just completed a full guest room renovation. I do hope you liked the new decor, style and fixtures in the room. The water pressure would have been recently tested during the room renovation, so I will be grateful when we talk that you can give me the room number you stayed. With a rate of more of $400 a night the hotel do not serve the rooms, not even refresh towels and amenities. It is outrageous this situation. Do not have even communication with front desk or room service. They intend the customers to use their phones. Some do not like to do that and expect personal service.

I did try to search for your reservation and did not find it. I look forward to speaking with you. In the meantime, I would like to clarify our housekeeping services: We certainly do offer stay over housekeeping service including replenishments of your amenities like towels, soap and light cleaning during the business week. To ensure we are properly staffed for stay over service, we do ask for you to schedule it by midnight the day before through your smartphone. This allows us to properly schedule and deploy our housekeeping team members efficiently throughout our 600 rooms. The request process is far less than the key strokes required to order items from Amazon or schedule a Lyft pickup, which have become foundational to our daily lives. We have received many positive comments from guests who like to better schedule their day for when we can access their guest room, and not be wasteful if service is not required. Good central location in downtown Omaha. Close Uber ride from the airport. Staff is friendly. Great bar with nightly entertainment. Rooms will not "wow" you but they are clean and fairly updated. Would stay here again. My only complaint is the gym not having any water options.

A couple of points that my interest you: 1) We are in the midst of completing our 600 guest room re-imaging and renovation. Your next stay with us will be in a new room. 2) Feel free to use our complimentary airport shuttle and save on the transportation fee if you please. 3) We will be putting a new water station in the health club this year. I am sorry this is not in yet. It is a more complex plumbing situation than we expected. Until then, we do offer water at the front desk which is fairly close to the gym entrance. I booked a stay to come to visit and look at possible rentals in Omaha. Upon my arrival I booked with Priceline to stay at the Hilton. My check in was great the stay was great but the morning of check out my card was charged almost double what my original charge was. I calmly tried to get it figured out with the front desk lady and she treated me as if I was lying about the price I said my room should of been she was unwilling to even look into the issue for me and she just didn’t give me a pleasant experience hopefully she doesn’t treat other guest like that.

The food was very good and the people were very nice however the rooms were not clean and to get out of the parking garage took one hour because one by one a car would leave at the bottom and I was on the third floor and after the dance competition it took literally minimum 1 hour to get out of the parking ramp and the flow was incredible long to get out and very poorly designed. People missing flights. Lift the parking lever and call it good I asked the manager at the front desk.

Enjoyed my stay! The room was comfortable, modern, and clean! The front desk staff and shuttle driver were very kind and attentive. The gym is great with lots of equipment. The pool is large and the hot tub is nice to have for relaxation. Didn’t get to try the on-site restaurant but it looked nice and I will try next time! Would recommend this property!
