The suite was well appointed with a nice sitting area a full kitchen and large comforable king sized bed. The staff was up to every question I asked them. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of food.

We paid up for a king suite, and it was very roomy with a full fridge and small kitchen area (dishes and dishwasher included, stove, microwave, but no oven). The pool area was nice, and I appreciated that they have you sign up for a time to make sure it doesn't get too busy. The only complaint on that is that we couldn't reserve a time for the next morning, even at 8 at night. We had to call the next morning to see if it was open. The Covid friendly pre-wrapped breakfast options were very good.

When I checked and they made sure that I had everything I needed. They kept asking me if I needed anything housekeeping came by and asked every day if I needed anything or if I need my room clean the front desk asked if I needed a water or they I brought my dog and they made sure that the dog was well taken care of. They made sure that I was taking care of anything I needed. They provided for me at the front desk. They’re a great great staff and surprisingly this hotel is rated at one of the best hotels. If I stay anywhere close to Omaha I would only stay here , I recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am not sure what I was thinking when booking this hotel. Homewood by Hilton. The Hilton part of the name sounds good. But it is nothing like staying in a regular Hilton. I knew it would not be the exact same but a few things would have made it a much more comfortable stay.
I booked a one bedroom suite as I was staying a month. The staff at the desk seemed nice enough. Online check-in didn't work so still had to stop at the desk. Room is ok as far as size, much better the suite than studio.
What made this not so comfortable was the paper thin walls. I could hear almost every word spoken in the room next door. And easily could hear every conversation in the hallways. All the way down to the elevator. My room was next to the stairs so no room next to my bedroom. I could escape to there to avoid the noise from next door, but not the noise from above.
This hotel seems to be very popular for families every weekend. Maybe because the pool is open. There were several parties as well that lasted until 2 am.
The cleaning lady speaks another language but was obviously in a heated telephone call while cleaning the 2 rooms near mine. Very loud.
Cleaning is mainly once a week, Thursday. The cleaning staff does come by Sunday to see if you need anything or want them to clean. But being in the room, I declined.
Gym and pool are open but not wanting to risk catching Covid, I stayed away.
Breakfast is pre-made sandwiches wrapped in plastic and bags of cereal, yogurt and some fruit cups. 2 kinds of coffee available. Most folks got their food and took back to their rooms.
Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers, runs 2 dollars to wash 30 min and 1 dollar to dry 45 min.
Not a terrible place to stay, nice having a kitchen. But the noise is rather annoying.

December 2019 was our third year staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Downtown. We choose this hotel for the value, ample family size accommodations, and access to downtown Omaha. The accommodations are typically clean, and the staff friendly.

2019 Pluses:
The staff was friendly and helpful. A glass in the room and a staff member came to help clean it up. My toddler locked us out of our bathroom; again, the staff was attentive and friendly.
The breakfast and social hour staff are AMAZINGLY friendly. I witnesses one staff member thoughtfully guide a blind individual to a table, collect his food, and repeatedly return to his table to see to this person's needs.
Bottomless Kuriug cups upon request!
I enjoyed the fitness center for the first time. It is clean, safe, and nicely organized.

2019 Minuses
The hot tub was "under maintenance!" One of the significant amenities of a winter stay in a hotel is the availability of the hot tub. There was a standing offer to go to the Hamiton across the street and use their hot tub. This trip is arduous with small kids in winter. No compensation was offered, and I felt a little slighted.
Our room was not services between the first a second night, even though I explicitly requested the desk staff make accommodations. You can imagine how dirty a place can get with several kids, swimming towels, and two small trash cans.
There was a band-aid on the deck of the pool the entire time we visited. This minor detail throws into question the cleanliness of the pool area as a whole.

Overall, it was an average stay with ups and downs. We would consider returning; however, this stay has taken a loyal, returning customer and given causes to look at other accommodations in 2020.

We were suppose to stay here for 2+ weeks.... we lasted 2 nights!

We were traveling on business and booked a 2 br suite. The lobby was clean. The young lady who checked is in was friendly. The shuttle driver was an amazingly kind man and the front desk clerk Amy was wonderful and really tried her best to "fix" the problems. Those were the plusses.

Unfortunately, some things just can't be fixed. Our room at check-in was FILTHY! Hair on the floor in the bathroom, crumbs in the drawers, no soap or dishwasher soap or towels in the kitchen and a dishwasher filled with the previous persons dirty dishes, dust FALLING OUT of the vents, bugs in the lights and stains on the chairs and the couch. We literally put towels down to sit. The beds were uncomfortable to say the least ... not even on a box spring, just a mattress on plywood that creeks. The "blankets" were mattress cover pads - I have never ever seen anything like that! The pillows were like disintegrated foam.

The hotel itself was FILTHY! Garbage over spilling the can (that sat for 2 days), ice machines that did not work, laundry room with machines that were disgusting! Outside garbage cans with the garbage just sitting there for 2 days. Breakfast that was frozen and microwaved or poured out of a can. Add to this the attitude of the desk clerk Denise, who was absolutely rude and condescending to not only me but to the other 3 people stand there with me. It was her rudeness that prompted a call to Hilton at 5pm on a Sunday, just 2 days into our stay, to get us relocated to a different hotel. Earlier in the day we had asked for our room to be cleaned and for towels and toilet paper. When we returned, the room had not been touched, we had no towels or toilet paper. The last straw was attempting to do laundry in moldy machines and being told by Denise - "what do you expect me to do about it." And when I asked for a package of Lysol wipes so I could clean their machines, she asked me for my room number (to charge me?) That was it!

The next day, when we were checking out, we were told that they only have 3 cleaning people. My reply was that if they don't have enough people, they have no business booking the hotel to capacity. In light of Covid, you would think that some effort would be made to keep a clean hotel. This could not have been farther from the truth at the Homewood.

We spend 100+ days a year in hotels. Hilton has lost a very good customer!

I have stayed several times a year for the last 4-5 years and have really enjoyed the wonderful service and many amenities at this Omaha Homewood Suites Hotel. However, these last several years the hotel has definitely changed. Possibly there has been a change in management or corporate emphasis. On my recent several stays in July, 2021 and recently in November, 2021, I have been very disappointed. First of all, they now don't read your requests and then when you arrive and make a room request, there is a total lack of motivation to fulfill your wishes. The breakfast they offer is very minimum and a total waste. They offer instant oatmeal in envelopes and then there aren't any microwaveable bowls to even make it! The hot entrees are premade somewhere else and then microwaved and are totally tasteless and AWFUL. As for the cleaning of your rooms, on my July visit where I stayed 5 nights, the staff never touched my room or offered to throw out my trash even though I made repeated requests. On my second, November visit, they put a slip of 1 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 paper in with my key folder stating they only clean the rooms on Monday and Thursday. When asked about a plan for emptying trash from the room, they said to leave it outside your room. Trash was sitting outside the rooms in the hallway for more than 3 hours at a time. On the night before I was to depart, I needed to print out my boarding pass and I asked what had happened to the computers in what used to be the computer station area since they were gone. The front desk person then informed me that they had taken the computers out a long time ago! She never offered to print them out for me which I thought was rather unhelpful! Last but not least is the room condition. During both of my visits the two rooms I stayed in. both needed renovations! By the way there is a $10 charge for parking your car each night and on my first visit there wasn't any room in the lot for my car! I hope this hotel returns to a place of great service and great comfort like it used to be!

When making the reservation we asked for a rollout bed since we had five people staying in one room. We got there no bed was available, slimy mold water was left in the bathroom sink, The front desk was ask for sheets multiple times, and maintenance was requested for the sink. The sheets came the sink never got fixed. Bagels were the only thing so for breakfast, $10 parking fee with limited parking available. Slick floors coming out of the pool into the lobby and no towels to dry off with.

Hotel has cut back staffing, therefore do not expect rooms to be sufficiently cleaned or routine maintenance to have been performed. Was given two different rooms each with issues. Second room required cleaning but housekeeping was gone for the day so I had to remove dirty towels and trash left behind from previous guest that housekeeping forgot to remove when they cleaned room prior to my check in.

This hotel is not up to Hilton standards. It shows signs that it once was a quality place. Shortly after checking in, we discovered that there was no linens for the fold out bed. The blanket, which was to be "clean and sanitized was slung on the shelf of the closet, with out one pillow. I tried to call the front desk to ask for linen, but neither phone worked. One half of the outlets in the room did not work. One of the "luxury bedding" pillows was missing. The mattress was high and firm on the edges, but had been clearly slept in a lot as there was a hole in the middle. I went to the front desk and was informed that they couldn't fix the phone until the next day, as they were short staffed and everyone had left for the day (this was the weekend of an annual college baseball tourney and they couldn't staff up?) I was handed uncovered set of sheets that were retrieved from behind the desk, but no pillows. On top of this, this hotel was on a very busy road with truck traffic noise all night. I requested a one hour extension on check out and was told they could not provide this as they were fully booked and needed to turn the room, but thanked me for being a Hilton Honors customer. Honored was not haw I felt.

What kind of cookware would I find in the kitchenette?
Answer from Gretchen W
Thank you so much for asking. The standards for the kitchens are a large pot, a small sauce pan, a small pan, a cutting board, and a variety of cooking utensils including measuring cups, spatulas, and knives. These kitchens do have a full size fridge, stop top, microwave, toaster, and dishes.
