Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
This location meets all the Hampton standards. We had no problems and everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast was normal Hampton with a reasonable selection, well presented and clean. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. The location is just excellent for access to all parts of Omaha. Plenty of great places to eat either within blocks or with a short drive. This is one of my favorite places to stay when we visit Omaha.

This is your normal Hampton Inn. Bagged breakfast available due to COVID. The rooms are sanitized and the hotel is in good location near the highway to travel to all the near destinations. Courteous staff are at the front desk each time we came by.

One of the things I've always liked about the Hampton Inns brand is its consistent quality. That said, their significantly higher rates on cancelable reservations has recently steered me away from the brand. This trip, when that feature wasn't necessary, was a good reminder why I like the brand. Helpful and friendly staff; very nice room, with excellent climate control; decent free breakfast every day; better workout room than you typically find in a mid-range brand. If you need a quick bite, the pizza joint, My Pie Pizza, is a short walk out of hotel's front door.

I don’t care how much you pay for a hotel room. Being able to take a hot shower is an unbreakable, basic motel promise…unthinkable for over $100 a night.
But here we are— waking up in the Omaha Midtown Hampton Inn…on a Tuesday morning in the middle of July with no hot water.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! With a mission to provide superior customer service, we take great pride in serving your needs We have not been informed of ANY issues with our water temperature. I do apologize as maybe this was an issue with the faucet itself. We will look into this room if you could email your stay information at doug.wyman@hilton.com. Either way we do apologize for the inconvenience it caused as this is not typical of our property. Again, thank you for staying and we hope you choose to stay with us again whenever your travel needs bring you back to Omaha. Doug and the Hampton inn Aksarben Team

This is an average hotel. The ceiling/floor does not isolate sounds well and I had a difficult time sleeping due to someone walking around in the room above me. The cleaning was fair - probably only hit the high spots. A very simple survey of the room would have showed two of the problems in the photos I attached. There was a nasty stain of some sort on the bed skirt of one bed and a very obvious hair on the kleenex box. The cleaning appeared to be only topical and cursory.
The hotel is on a busy street, but set off from the road next to a senior living facility. I'm sure the area is reasonable, but I was just here for a quick overnight and early departure.
Breakfast was boringly average like most hotels. Same choices, same options. Cold cereal, limited selections of not so healthy breads, prefab omelets which didn't taste too bad, small apples. They RAN OUT OF FORKS within the first 10 minutes of breakfast. Seriously? I substituted a spoon to eat the omelet.
For some reason, they added a pet fee to my bill (which was quickly and willingly removed, but ... why)?
Complementary bottle water offered and taken. Fitness room had reasonable equipment, but was low on towels (there were only two!) despite low traffic early in the morning (saw one other person in there).
In general, way overpriced for the quick stay. Boringly average in all respects. Ranked #2 of 3 hotels I stayed at in a cross-country trip, but that isn't saying much. It seems as if hotels are striving for doing the bare minimum to get by, focusing only on obvious things like countertops, bath linens and bed linens.

Thank you for your review of your recent stay. I do apologize we didn't meet your expectations. I will speak to housekeeping about the cleanliness issues you had in your room as that is not the standard here. I am happy to hear we took care of the pee fee right away. I hope if you are in Omaha again, you will give us another try to make things right. Have a great day.

Every employee we encountered was a delight, from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance to the breakfast crew. Traveling as a family can be tiring and little ones can be messy. Hotel staff who welcome you and your little ones add so much value to a stay. Our room was spotless and hot coffee was always available in the lobby.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn Omaha Midtown-Aksarben. The service was great from the front desk folks with big smiles, accommodating, to the housekeeping service, the kind of friendliness that makes you want to stay again. The room was clean and comfortable with a microwave and refrigerator. The location was perfect right in the middle of town so could access downtown as well as other parts of Omaha in 10-15 minutes in different directions. Parking was easy and ample. Thanks for running such a nice hotel!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Omaha Midtown - Aksarben Area on August 25, 2021. When we checked into our room, there was no hand soap, no bath soap or no bath gel in the room. We went down to the front desk and were told that the shipment of soap had not arrived and that there was nothing that could be done to rectify the situation. We had to go to Walmart and purchase our own soap so that we could wash our hands and take a shower after traveling all day! So much for the 100% Hampton Guarantee...no one on staff was authorized to figure out how to procure something as basic as soap during a pandemic??? We have traveled extensively, both domestically and internationally, and have never had something like this happen!

Clean hotel, easy check in and out. They have the digital key at this hotel so if you are a Hilton honor member you can log in, pick your room in advance and get the digital key. You never have to check in at the front desk if you don't want to. Rooms are large and airy with super comfy beds. Bathrooms are modern and clean. The price for this hotel is very reasonable. We always book and stay here when we are in town visiting our college student child.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. However the room was a little undermaintained, bed was terrible and the pillows were like flat rocks. Couldn't get comfortable to sleep much. The complimentary breakfast is marginal at best and the weekend forget it, too many people standing in line for everything even the frozen cut up fruit. Coffee was awful and way tooooo hot. Not going to be a return visit for us.
