Went with friends. Everyone had an issue 1) a random man walked into my friends room while he was sleeping. Some at front desk gave the person the wrong key/room. Thank goodness everyone was safe. 2) Shuttle timing communication issues. Staff didn’t understand difference between AM and PM 3) Several of our rooms were not cleaned. Either not vacuumed or we found left over garbage 4) the fire alarm battery started to die after midnight in my room. Staff was apologetic but didn’t do anything about it except fix it the next day.

Stayed here for a concert at CHI Center. Excellent location. Within walking distance to everything. Great appointed clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. Big rooms. Fridge in room. Quiet rooms. In an old courthouse and the building is huge. Would definitely stay here again. Very clean.

I have stayed in hotels with a fraction of the recourses, staff, and assets that the Magnolia has, and I had a genuinely better hotel experience at all those other locations. I made repeated requests to have my room looked at for small issues I noticed at check in, but they were either not address during my stay, or were resolved on my last night stay there (I was there for 3 nights). There were bugs in the shower, and flying insects from the curtains, which show me that they do not thoroughly clean the rooms, furniture's, or pipes. The room was freshened up every morning (by request only, they don't do it automatically), but the minor issues I brought up when I first checked into the room were not addressed in the first 2 services to the room, which tells me when I was explaining my requests for things to be replaced or refilled in the room to guest services, they were not taken seriously initially. The shuttle service is not reliable, because of a lack of communication. I don't mind negatives, but I do mind surprises. Even when I placed a reservation for the shuttle services 6 hours in advance, they still came 15 minutes late, and I ended up just driving myself to my event that I was late to, and had a lost experience from it. Even if I was notified that it would be late, that would have been okay with me, I was ready to go half an hour early just incase the shuttle was early, but snice it was late and no one made an mentioned to me, I had a bad experience on a night in which I as hoping for the opposite. I can't make up for lost time, or a first time experience that I was planning for a while. I told that to the Front Desk attendant in an emotional state when they asked me about my evening, and all they offered me was a drink ticket at their bar; that felt like a slap to the face. Even if something seems not important to the hotel, it's important to me, and at the very least pretend to sympathize with me. The only positive I have for the Magnolia is it's location to the Old Market. If you need to be close to the Old Market, the Magnolia is a literally a few minutes walk down. I personally travel to Omaha very often to know the area well, and know the hotels in the area, especially downtown where the Magnolia is downtown. Next time I will stay at nearby hotels in which I had better experiences. …

The bathroom was disgusting, wads of hair on the wall, a black beetle crawling up the wall, red lipstick smeared on the floor near the toilet, make up splattered on the wall and when I told the front desk worker, the apology didn’t sound sincere at all. I also had pictures for proof

Really cool hotel. Older building that's very cool and very well maintained. Everything from hallway decor to the rooms felt fresh, clean, and inviting. Much better than a Courtyard Marriott or Hilton Garden Inn or whatever else you'd find at this price point. And friendly staff! Walkable to Old Market, where there are several good restaurants.

I was in town for Mother's Day, visiting my daughter and going to the Wizard of Oz ballet. The staff on Sunday afternoon went above and beyond to get me into a room before the show. I could tell they truly care. The room was nice and the hotel was really pretty. Breakfast was delicious as well. I would stay here again.

Normally I’ve had great experiences and all the people were great, front desk is excellent but the room simply was not clean, dirty towels, stained curtains, dirty toilet, no fan, and dirty baseboards/carpet where it’s really obvious they haven’t actually cleaned the room in a long time. I really wanted to like this place, but no. We checked in around 10 pm so the hotel was not busy. No one helped us with our bags or told us where to park. I got in bed around 11pm and there was literal trash in my bed - a used feminine hygiene product. It was gross. I went into the bathroom to wash up, and found used soap in the shower. It was like they only partly cleaned the room. I moved rooms and was promised compensation, but got no discount and the girl at check out said she did not have the ability to alter the bill and that no manager was on duty. I was traveling with my adult daughter and we both had work calls at the same time so I needed a place to do a 10 minute conference call privately. I was told there was no business center or conference room, even though I could see the conference room and no one was using it. Hotel did not care. It was like they didn't want to accommodate any request. Coffee machine was empty both mornings and no refile was available. Cool old building just no service and dirty.…
