We were in town for Creighton graduation. It was a central location to easily get to bars and restaurants (though not really anything to walk to) The room was clean. Marisol at the bar was great, ended one of our nights having some drinks and she was very friendly and made it fun.

My husband is currently a guest at Even in Omaha. He is an airline pilot and stays in hotels all over. He typically doesn’t have much to say about where he stays. Last night he told me where he was and mentioned the nice staff. Fast forward to this morning and he’s been sick all night with a stomach virus. I called the front desk (thank goodness I remembered where he’s staying!) and the woman I spoke to was so kind. I asked for some type of Gatorade or something to be taken to him. Within minutes he had beverages delivered. The kind woman even waited to make sure he was ambulatory and could get them. Super grateful for the kind and amazing staff at this Even location. Awesome people can really make a hotel something special and that’s the case here! Thank you from a wife who is thousands of miles from her sick husband!! ❤️…

First of all, as a woman traveling alone, I felt a little unsafe in the area at night. The big issue, however, is parking. I booked this room through Costco Travel, and there was no mention of a charge for parking. Nor did the front desk agent ask about where I had parked or that there would be a charge...either at check-in or check-out. Then, lo and behold, just the other day--weeks after my stay--I receive a threatening note from a parking company with a bill for $40 even though on its website the parking company advertises parking for $27 a month in either this or an adjacent lot. I have tried to resolve this on the phone to no avail and then wrote a long note to the property's general manager; she didn't bother to respond. All I can think is the hotel is in bed with the parking company. …

It was not an impressive hotel. Our stay was not worth the money we spent. It was a totally impersonal hotel. The hotel had an attached parking lot but we had to pay for parking. The breakfast area consisted of a kiosk where you would order food. Breakfast was not included and was pricey. We ended up going out for breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, but there was no microwave. We brought food to heat up in a microwave, but we had to use the one in the breakfast area. When we went to use the microwave, it was in use by an employee who left his food inside of it for at least 10 minutes or more. The microwave didn't work well either. There was a nice size closet in the room but had no hangers to hang our jackets. I was excited to see there were full-size shampoo, conditioner, and shower get bottles in the shower but the pump for the shampoo bottle didn't work; it was locked inside a rack so we weren't able to get the shampoo out of the bottle. For us, it's the little things that count. There was no real customer service. The only positive part of our stay was the shuttle driver. …

Stay: Nov 4-6, 2022 IHG rewards ending in 8645 I had a largely uneventful stay in early November on one of my 4-6 annual trips to Omaha. Regrettably, I have received an angry letter from their parking operator, PMC, demanding a $40 penalty or booting if my car is ever parked on their property. After over 1,000 nights in hotels, this isn't the first time where a mistake happened in terms of the list of "paid" cars present in a hotel lot. In the past, the front desk took care of the (paper) ticket. The Even Hotel's operator prefers to sit on the violation for weeks. Not a great sign. That said, I gathered my IHG rewards number and external documentation (a record of stay on ihg.com and the booking confirmation; regrettably the hotel forgot to email a pdf of the folio on checkout). When I called the hotel earlier today, the front desk told me to try and work it out with PMC. If not, call the hotel back and get the GM to intervene. No questions were asked to even verify my stay with the property. That's unacceptable. It's not really my job to negotiate with the hotel's subcontractor, and I have no "proof" that they can verify like Even/IHG can (i.e. proof of stay). Further, I don't have an abundance of time, especially during business hours, to spend playing phone tag with a parking operator (with no interest in dealing with me) and the hotel. The money isn't a world ending loss, but the "not my problem" attitude with a predatory parking company is inexcusable. …

There is a reason IHG was offering 4 x the points to stay here. The building looks nice but I had the worst nights sleep in 8 years at this location. There is a humming throb noise in the room near the heating area. I took my hearing aids out and used my CPAP machine and the throbbing noise was still there. The desk surface had sticking substance in several spots that I found when trying to work on my computer. I cleaned it and all surfaces with washcloth and soap. Hope it was syrup. One chair in room and a bed. If you want to work out in your room and don’t need a good nights sleep then chose this hotel. Otherwise a Holiday Inn Express is 2 blocks away with quiet rooms and ok food. Parking is $15.00 and if you leave the lot there may not be a space for you. Not a problem for the 9 vehicles in the lot.…

MANAGEMENT unable to comply with own promise to fix broken coffee machine. Not enough towels after asking 3 times. Toilet bowl filthy under rim. No carpets or anti slip item at swimmimg pool resulted in my son almost breaking his hand. Room did not get serviced daily. 1 staff member totally underdressed(croptop and tights) All this was reported to corporate with a promise to reply to me within 48 hours. Well its been 2 weeks. My advice is book somewhere else.

When reserving, we were told we would get adjoining rooms. Upon arriving, we were informed that they have no such thing. Our family was split up onto different floors. The hotel staff suggested that if we weren’t happy with that, we could go find another hotel (it was 10:30pm, and we were with our children). The first room that we were sent to had an ozone machine in it and smelled like smoke. They were busy, so they then sent us to a room with a single bed, and said we wouldn’t be receiving any discount because they charge the same price for a room with two kings as they do for a room with one bed, and that if we had a problem with that we could call the manager when they were available after the holiday weekend. The room has exercise equipment in it, a frosted glass barn door for the bathroom door. The whole building has a constant thrumming noise, and when the heat kicks in in the room, it is extremely noisy. The pillows are super thick and high. the shower had mold growing in the corners. Besides paying for parking, if you leave the lot, you need to pay again. I would not stay here again, and would not recommend this hotel.…

If I could give a 0 I would. Absolutely terrible experience all-around. For sensitive people - run, don't walk, away from this place. The lighting and air pressure made me immediately nauseous. I thought it would be better in the room - it wasn't. It was worse. The front desk staff couldn't assist and gave me an 800 number to call. . . What is the point of front desk staff who can't assist?? I tried to go outside to make the call but there were hotel employees smoking right in front of the door. I've talked to no less than 5 people at IHG, and each one was worse than the last. Most frustrating experience trying to get back $150 from a company worth $8.8 billion. Just grotesque. I know these companies don't care about customer service, but wanted to provide a heads up for those who are sensitive to their environment.
