+ very good location
+ private beach with wooden deck and bar with fair prices
+ good prices
+ spacious rooms
+ the server (Maria) at the beach bar was very helpful and going the extra mile for the customer. She certainly doesn't fit to the rest of the service

- access to the room through muddy walkway
- despite that they were expecting two people they hadn't removed the third bed from the room
- parking in a dusty lot, which would obviously become muddy in case of rain.
- the room had a kitchenette, but no cutlery
- very very poor breakfast
- unprofessional service. business run by the (apparently clueless) family members
- since breakfast hall is next to the reception I personnaly witnessed numerous complains by customers, while none of them got a satisfactory feedback
and
- unbelievably rude owner. The guy insulted a (nicely mannered) customer in from a full hall during breakfast. He was all the time in the reception and restaurant area doing nothing but having the look that customers should be grateful for letting them stay at his hotel

So even after reading and translating allt the negative reviews I decided to give it a chance after promises from the manager that they will make sure that we have a great holiday. On the positive side they really did everything they could to make it a nice stay, always friendly, kept a parking spot just for us all the time, found other pillows as we were not happy with the given ones etc. So they for sure adheared to all our complaints/requests.
Now of course there are things which they really need to improve and they are aware of it as I had a discussion with the manager before leaving:
1. The breakfast is way below expected standard. They only have one type of ham, one type of cheese, one type of egg (scrambled), very poor orange juice, some hard cheese pie and few cerials. That is basically it, so no variation at all and they have this all the time. You can imagine that after the 3rd day it was very tough to decide what to eat...On top of it it is very chaotic, with too small space where you take the breakfast so people keep stumping into each other, then the kitchen door is also there so you need to be carefull not to stand in the way of it, there is constantly stuff missing, either the milk or the coffee, or the bread or the silverware or juice, you never have all you need, and this is due to lack of staff. They have this one poor lady running around like crazy to clean the tables, to fill up all the missing stuff and she cannot make it, it's not feasible. So they need to fix the whole breakfast experience asap.
2. The room service was different every day. On some 4 occasions we only got the small towels so no towels that you need after the shower, then sometimes you got and sometimes not a refill of the shower gel, then I kept getting the lotion even though I didn't even use the first one but the shower gel which I needed I didn't get...and so on. So it was funny to see every day after returning to the room what they have done this day. :)
3. The beach. It should not be called a beach at all. It's a place where they have brought some sharp small stones on which you cannot walk on and even less have your children sit and play on. So what looks as very nice from the picture on their website is totally different in reality. And by the way the picture is half true, as only the left part of the picture is their, the beach visible on the picture is from a different hotel, their so called beach is not visible on the picture but it's adjecent to the beach on the picture.
4. The WiFi was average at best.
5. At first they didn't want to give us the controls of the air conditioners, so you have only a on or off switch in the room, but I assume when they saw our reaction that they realized it's not normal so they gave it to us as for sure I want to be able to decide myself what temperature I want to have in the room at any time.

Otherwise the rooms were nice with a very comfortable bed but the bedsofa is horrible causing major back pains, so we had to ask for the extra bed instead.
The location is nice if you have a car which we did, otherwise you will loose couple of kilos by walking to and from the city as it's quite hilly.

All in all, if you don't care about the beach and go to other nice ones, and if they improve the breakfast, then it's a good place to stay at.

I'm still here for my vacations and I am so disapointed as I decided to spent my holidays in this hotel and I was dreaming of a clean room in front of the sea and a pleasant and willing staff that would try to do the best for us. You see it was a 4 star hotel with really impressive photos. Instead of that all we feel is that the owner is trying to grab our money and treat us like anything else but CLIENTS!!! I won't say much about the services (that do not exist) or about the cleanliness (The linen in my bed had blood as I had scratched my leg and they just turned them from the other side and when I asked to change them they put new ones but with some stains......). All in All, the location is perfect but choose the next hotel Agios Nikolaos....I am so regreted for not going there!!!

What a great idea to have small shared pools instead of a big central one. It worked really well for our little ones but also for the perfect last dive after a long day at the beach.
The location is good but only if you have a car since it is not in the center and you will most probably want to explore the area.
The beach is nicer than most in the area and has a cute deck.
Breakfast is continental with many delicious options. I’d only recommend better coffee.
And finally the best feature of the accommodation is the helpful staff who will go above and beyond to meet your needs. A big thank you to all of you!

Great apartments. We had one of the higher ones, overlooking the gardens and sea at the rear. Very well appointed rooms, freshened daily, access to its own beach and selection of pools. There's a beach bar at the rear. Rita is the Queen of breakfasts, and will ensure you're well feed every morning, with a plentiful selection of cooked and cold offerings. A short walk into Syvota town with a great shopping street, restaurants and Marina. There's several beaches nearby, one complete with its own Goats.

Ok, one more bad critique but with more than one good reason!!
We had booked a double room with seaview and kitchen for 4 nights in august and also had informed twice (!!)the manager that we had a little baby (4m) and would like to provide us with a baby cot. Both times we were ensured that the reservation was on and that everything was allright. On the day we travelled to the location they called us while we were on our way (!!) and told us that they did not have the room we asked but could give us either a room with seaview but no kitchen or a family room with kitchen and no view. Because we had the baby the kitchen was a priority so we chose that in the same price(120 euros). Needless to say that they did not apologise but sounded like we were the ones to be obliged! When we arrived the took us to room 14 which was a bit seperate from the rest of the block, had a parking view (!!) and a play ground just in front of the balcony(therefore no privacy) and inside the only + was that it had a small living room. However one room had no physical light(it looked on a wall), there were ants and one window had a problem..so even though we thought to be patient all these factors contributed to asking them to give us an apporopriate room!the next day the manager said that he had personally persuaded a family to go to another room with lower price(which we found out that it was a lie) and he had found us the best(!!) room in the block..the room had a swimming pool in front but in order to sea the see you had to be standing up!!however when we told them that, they said that this was a room with seaview..we were very dissapointed by their lack of professionalism and their eagerness just to collect money and not treat us as their clients!i am very dissapointed and even though it is on a beautiful location and it has some amenities like a swimming pool for four appartments, i would not reccomend this hotel..I have travelled a lot around the world and it was frustrating to be treated like this in my own country!

After being there I really regret not having taken seriously all previous negative comments. My family and I rent two rooms : a"sea front"and a "deluxe" one. My comments apply to both rooms: Unprofessional and rude staff, old rooms with squeaky beds placed in a row ( only the " deluxe" rooms are renovated), dirty towels and bed linen, extremely small bathrooms, no sufficient light and disappointing breakfast experience ( including breakfast area). Nothing justifies neither the 4 stars nor the extremely high prices.

to begin with the positive side of Ornella , great view , beach is beautiful, sea is clean and you can get a sunbed anytime of the day. Suite is nice and always cleanand quite if you dont have noicy neighbours the shared swimming pool may drive you crazy as kids play there all day. only few cleaning for the whole hotel but they were doing amazing job always helpful (probably terrified by their horrible boss).
Breakfast was horrible , poor quality , no fruits only some watermelon from last day, quantity was not even enough for the whole hotel , after 2 days you dont bother eating there again . They just try to save money and they consider this as a breakfast , really cheap practise . same applies to lunch and dinner better stay hungry avoid at all costs. Beach coffee really expensive again bad quality . At our checkout they complained that people dont spend on food(!) in our face as we didnt waste our money to eat their disgussing meals, guess what ,if you improve the quality and quantity then maybe we will spend some more money.
The owners are the rudest people I have even met in my life, they dont care about the hotel they just want your money , every problem you were mentioning they thought you mention it because you are crazy and not because there is an actual problem(like some problems with unexisting wifi , no air-con during breakfast as they were trying to save money, If they are lazy to operate the hotel they can hire some proffesionals it is weird to see the owner eating breakfast at pick times , I could ignore some issues but the owner were really annoying and no helpful at all. I am sure in few years they will go bankrupt if they dont change their attitude and imporve the hotel

I have noticed the specific hotel two years ago and I thought that it would be great! But after reading so many bad critics in here I hesitated. We decided to come here in August and we had a great time. Our room was number 8 (it wasn't on the first floor in order to have sea view, but it didn't have any stairs and outside was the swimming pool). We enjoyed every minute there! Rooms were big, very clean, we could have our lunch/dinner in the room (ok, there weren't many choices but it was fine) and the receptionist was extremely kind!
The beach was perfect, the area was very quite, it was the perfect place for relaxed holidays. If I have to find something negative to say was the fact that there were so many children crying, screaming etc but we can't blame the hotel for that!
I am amazed especially from people who go on vacations in greek islands that write but critics for the specific hotel that I wonder: Haven't you visited a hotel were the only thing that there is in you room is a simple bed and an old tv? That most of them don't have wi-fi? That also most of them don't have room service and the beach is kilometers far away? That won't accept credit cards?
I don't know about you but all of the above are essential to me. I have to say that Ornella hotel was the most well equipped hotel from many many many others...

I was taken in by the picturesque scenery in the photos. The accommodation also looked clean and contemporary. When we arrived we were all very disappointed, our room had a mouldy smell, it was ridden with mosquitos and our bed linen had numerous stains on them ( I camp often and this made me consider sleeping by the pool on the lounge chairs). The breakfast was below average and you are better off eating out.

I had read the trip advisor reviews and thought how bad can it be? It looked amazing...

My families week long stay at the resort lasted one night and we hastily checked out in the morning... Best part of this place is the location, it is simply beautiful, with great beaches nearby. If you can handle below average cleanliness then you won't have a problem.
It is definitely not a 4 star, but it's location in Sivota certainly is.

le camere sono pulite? La colazione è buona..come materie prime?
