To understand Iceland accomodations you need to almost look at everything in hindsight. After spending two weeks in iceland, Egils was among the better stays. Two of us stayed in a room. small, small beds, quaint, delightful people. I think "Gunnie" was the tall blonde (who wasn't) who took care of us. Our room had a bath and shower. which...

Stayed here for 1 night during my icelandic roadtrip! Had a studio which was perfect. The key was placed in a keybox on the door, so there was no need to checkin with someone personal. Studio is in en excellent location, close to the ringroad and you can have a nice walk along the coastline. Despite the clear skies unfortunately...

We stayed for a night in Apartment 2. It's a nice suite with a kitchenette. It's within walking distance of the Settlement Centre. No complaints. Highly recommended. It's convenient hat they use a lockbox for he keys so you don't have to pick them up/drop them off. They provide a ton of info about the area in a package left...

We stayed at Egil's Apartments in the 2 bedroom unit, #6 in August of 2016. The outside was a bit shabby and could use some fresh paint, but the interior was very nice. The rooms were spacious which is NOT the case in many rooms you will find in Iceland and other parts of Europe. We were very happy to...

The folks who run this guest house are very friendly and accommodating, and the location is great - right next to the Settlement Center. The facility is part of a cafe, so there are lovely baked goods available almost all day. My only complaint is the room size. It was barely large enough to accommodate a bed, much less our...

We stayed for 2 nights, 4 adults. There's parking right across the street, but the cottage we had requires you to bring your luggage up some steps and across a rocky pathway. No problem for us, but those with mobility issues should be aware. The cottage was bright, spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped, but we had...

This is a long overdue review as we went there last year. Anyway, Egils Guesthouse cottage is a very nicely decorated guesthouse. It was part of our whole trip to tour the whole iceland and we booked this in our West Iceland tour. Good location, within a walking distance to Borganes public swimming pool and kids loved it. We also...

On our recent trip to Iceland we spent our first night at the Egils Guesthouse. We rented a family room which was on the second floor of the building. There was plenty of room for us and our three kids. The apartment was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and well kept. The guesthouse is in an...

We booked an apartment for 3 people. The self-checkin arrangement is very convenient. You can park in the lots directly across the street. The apartment has a small kitchenette but good enough to prepare simple meals (You can buy your groceries from the Bonus supermarket located just when you enter town and there is also a Vinbudin in the same...

A very nice and clean service apartment - perfect for 2 people. Good facilities - the kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking. The size of the studio is fairly bigger than a standard studio. The bed is amazing - great quality sleep. The bathroom is also very big and spacious, but the only issue is the shower drains very...

“Be forewarned, studio #1 at #6 has a 2 burner hot plate and no oven. It can accommodate 4 people, but we would have been tripping over each other. I don't recall about WiFi, but who could think about that when you are afraid to through something in the trash for fear that there will be an extra charge for not disposing of it correctly.”
