You are right in the middle of a power station, strangely does not show that on the pictures when you book it. The restaurant food was average, but VERY OVERPRICED, free coffee was a nice touch, honesty bar is fine, but then the Lady constantly said please be honest. There are hotels cheaper with much better views.

We have recently returned from a week long stay at the Northern Light Inn and must say that we had a great time. The hotel is very friendly and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. The rooms are quite basic but really comfortable and the residents area of an evening was very welcoming. The hotel is 15 minutes walk...

Stayed for 3 nights to try and see the Northern lights. Quaint hotel not too far from the airport. We initially chose to visit and not hire a car, but decided to do some touring after assessing the road conditions. Hotel was happy to help organise a car that will be dropped off right at the front door. Good food,...

Wow! What a place to stay.......it truly is a home from home. My friends and I stayed for 3 nights, we had never been to Iceland before. We were picked up from airport by the free shuttle bus, there was lots of snow on the ground and beautiful blue skies! On arrival we were given a lovely friendly welcome and...

We arrived here in a storm; we had to get there early before the roads were closed. Obviously the storm caused problems for the hotel with guests arriving early/not able to leave, but we were given a warm welcome and made very comfortable before our rooms were ready. The staff were mostly very helpful but we did feel that the...

Spent 1 night here before leaving Iceland. It is a very comfortable inn and the food was good. There is an hourly shuttle to the airport and they provide breakfast even if you are leaving at 4 am! It is a convenient 20 mins from the airport and next door to theblue lagoon. The only reason I gave it 3...

The hospitality of this place was wonderful. It is a walk across the lavarocks to the blue lagoon! the rooms are spacious and staff very friendly and accomodating. Unfortunate we did not get to see the Northern lights due to low cloud. Only thing to mention is the hotel is right next to a power house which unfortunately takes the...

We stayed two nights at this very lovely Scandinavian style hotel. The layout of the hotel was very comfortable and pleasant for our entire family (2 adults and 3 school-aged kids), from the honesty bar to the relaxing living room furnished with giant windows, a fireplace, puzzles/games and coffee/hot chocolate. The waffle station during afternoon tea was a nice bonus....

Nice modern hotel clean comfy lounges and in this day and age "an honesty bar". The staff young polite and professional. The outlook to be desired but thats no detriment to the hotel as a view is a extra bonus. Evening diner very good, breakfast ,buffet style has a very moderate selection. Reception very good.

Great hotel near airport and blue lagoon for our first night stay .it looks very utilitarian from outside but is actually lovely and cosy inside The view to geothermal power station amongst the lava fields is unique !
