I spent one night here last week and could have stayed forever. The most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed at. I was in Room 10 looking out towards the Blue Lagoon. The view was spectacular. It was nice enough to sit outside on the bench with your room door open and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. With your...

Clean, modern facility arising from the harsh yet intriguing landscape of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Easy access from the airport and the city, just north of Grindavik. While the adjacent neighbor is a mass of humanity and chaos, this is truly the private pool of the geothermal blue silica water. From that perspective alone, amazing. However, the rank is minus a...

My three adult daughters and I decided on a girls trip to Iceland on Mother's Day weekend to also celebrate our middle daughter 's 30 th birthday. The hotel was stylish and clean. Their private lagoon was very relaxing to my body and soul. We will do this trip again!

Best place to stay near at Blue lagoon is Silica, modern super modern by North American standard, bathrooms are beautiful, service top notch so is breakfast. They have there own lagoon 2 minutes walk from your room. It is truly a dream place, but open your wallet , but still worth it. Everything clean and neat

Loved our stay here for one night. It's expensive at $540 per night. Pool is open until midnight. Small menu for food. And you get free admission to the Blue Lagoon if you want. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. The Blue Lagoon products are obscenely overpriced. Don't waste your money on them. The staff was kind and friendly.

My Boyfriend and I stayed at Silica Hotel for 1 night in Jan 2017. The hotel was beautiful! It fitted so well into its surroundings and was the perfect base for us to visit the Blue Lagoon. The hotel is quite expensive however within the cost you get one visit to the Blue Lagoon so if you were planning a...

This place is SO AMAZING. Yes, it's very expensive. But yes, it is absolutely worth it. Do what you have to do, skimp on the rest of your trip, just so that you can stay here at least one night. The beds are heavenly, high quality linens, all that. The rooms are very nicely appointed. Not over the top luxury,...

Not sure whether or not to visit the Blue Lagoon, we chose to spend our last night at Silica and did not regret it: luxury stay, beautiful private lagoon, & complimentary access to the main lagoon. Staff were wonderful and our entire stay felt luxurious and relaxing!

The USD-to-ISK exchange rate is pretty terrible right now, so there is some sticker shock when you get your bill at Silica. That is the one and only "issue" I had with Silica. Otherwise, it was amazing, comfortable, and a worthwhile indulgence. For starters, the staff were very friendly and helpful from checkin to checkout. The included breakfast was an...
