A charming stay for a nice break away from your busy itinerary! Hotel Fljotshlid was a cute and inviting hotel hosted on a farm that offers a variety of hotel accommodations. When we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful wide open field that felt like we were on a mini getaway to the countryside of Iceland. The hotel is...

For being in the middle of farm fields and surrounded by gorgeous mountains, we could not have expected a better stay. The room was clean. Furnishings.....typical Scandinavian style so not fair to compare to USA standards. We asked for extra pillows and were quickly provided. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is way more...

This small country hotel is a gem! The couple who own and operate the hotel, also serve as the farmers and the chef. Great food. Close to valley with a spectacular view of Eyjafjallajökul. All the staff were wonderful, friendly, and aimed to please.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fljotshlid with all of its rustic charm surrounded by Iceland's pristine beauty. You have a wealth of options in terms of how you stay at Hotel Fljotshlid, whether you opt for the roomy guesthouse, the main hotel with modern amenities, the large fully equipped cottages, or the more personal and homely chalets. On...

We loved our stay in the cottages at Fljotshlid. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The views are incredible on a clear day. The location was great and quite central to all of the points of interest. The breakfast was delicious as well. We loved being near the animals too. Would highly recommend staying here!!

This hotel is situated on farmland and is a perfect place to watch the northern lights. Sadly, the weather didn't cooperate for us. Rooms are comfortable and have all things you need. There's even a hot tub a short walk away. TV is limited for English, but that's fairly typical for hotels there. There's a charming feel to the common...

Spend our first night in Iceland in this hotel gave a good glimpse into the country. We checked in around 3p and were the first guests. They seem to be still cleaning. Place felt deserted and quiet. There are only 12 "hotel" rooms. Rooms are big. Beds were really soft, but comfortable maybe because we have not slept for 24...

This is a fab little hotel in the middle of nowhere. The staff were so friendly and we had a great roast lamb dinner. The rooms are spacious and the facilities are spot on. Definitely get the ensuite to save hassle

This was one of three places we stayed and it was delightful! We arrived and the area was covered in snow which was breathtakingly beautiful! It is a remodeled farmhouse and the owners and staff were so kind and helpful. Rooms were spacious, the breakfast was well stocked and tasty, and the lamb dinner (from their farm) with mushroom soup...

We stayed here for three night in late December. We never saw the farm during the day as it was dark when we left and dark when we returned. Rooms were fine. Bedding was good. Showers were amazing! we had dinner there one evening and enjoyed it very much. We didn't think it was to expensive by Iceland standards. About...
