We loved our stay at the Hotel Anna as we traveled along the southern coast of Iceland. We stayed there as a midway point between Reykjavik and the glaciers in the southeast. There are only seven rooms to this hotel so it's small and very homey. The original structure belonged to the proprietor's grandmother, Anna. There is a small, historical...

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Anna. Our room was clean, comfortable, warm, and quiet. The breakfast was excellent - good variety and good food. Our host cooked me fresh bacon and eggs and it was DIVINE. We used Hotel Anna as our base for the south of Iceland and the major waterfalls, and it was a good choice. The...

I read so many stellar reviews about this hotel and it turned out quite disappointing at the location. The room had really minimum lighting and the partition between each room was thin enough we could hear our neighbors talking all night long. The breakfast was pretty nice though fortunately.

Stayed here with my husband, teenage daughter, and 21-year old son. We were given rooms 6 and 7, which were large enough for us all to fit very comfortably in. Excellent customer service, and delicious breakfast and dinner. We had the best steak at the hotel restaurant, which was fresh from the neighbor (Farmer John)'s farm - SOOO delicious.

Family celebration with dinner for three nights. Excellent food, a very nice atmosphere and close to several dramatic nature views. I recommend to stay at this hotel as a start point for discovering South East Iceland.

This rural farm stay hotel is located well for various day trips. There is very little choice around this area of places to eat, so we ended up eating here. The mains cost around 5000 isk so not cheap (but no where of any quality is) & we decided we were in need of a hot meal. We weren't disappointed,...

Nice, clean old hotel with great dinner and breakfast. Good host in quiet location. Old time furnishings with Icelandic antiques providing a unique history of the property. Good location for waterfalls and northern lights.

Stayed here for 2 nights last week and the stars are for the cleanliness and the wonderful attention we received from the host. He was always so cheerful, energetic, and happy to help. Although we hadn't requested for him to make us extra breakfast options, he kindly asked if we would like him to make some fresh scrambled eggs and...
