Whilst we, unlike other travellers, did mange to get our room at the guesthouse, Siggi had not responded to any of our emails though when we arrived she seemed to acknowledge that we had sent them(?). Unexpectedly, there are multiple dogs that are on the premises which we had no warning for - most of the furniture is covered in...

The single most horrendous experience I've had with a hotel/guesthouse anywhere. We showed up in the evening having confirmed our reservation by email earlier that day, and the owner informed us that we were the only people staying at the guesthouse that night so she had "upgraded" us to another hotel. Turns out, she was sending us to an apartment...

Our favorite place in 8th days in Iceland. Lovely hosts. The house was very busy, loud, full of laughter. People were constantly changing and swapping places between kitchen/dinning room, living room and hot tub. Our family room was small but it was all we needed. The breakfast to die for. Specially the home made bread and lovely pancakes.

I really wished I had read the reviews in more detail here... as it sounds like this happens way more frequently than it should! 2 friends and I were booked to stay here on the 3rd night of our Iceland trip. We had called a week before our stay to ask for a 3rd rollaway bed, or option for our...

I loved the hospitality of this place. The breakfast was great as well. During the dinner time the owner offered us a native dish she cooked it was quite delicious. The most awesome thing was the Hot Jacuzzi outside the house. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Will recommend.

We stayed one night in the garden cottage although there was no sink or toilet in the cottage. The cottage was new, cozy and well-decorated. There was a nice hot tub which you could relax. The young host and hostess were really friendly. Also, the breakfast was great and the pancakes were delicious.

Do not book here....Several months ago we reserved this guesthouse. On the due day we arrived at 5pm just as it was getting dusk, only to be met by a brusque woman who informed us that she was full; that she had let our room and so she was sending us to another "guesthouse", although indeed there were no signs...

Skogar as a location is great for a couple of nights. We had our hands full exploring near by Seljalandsfoss, Seljavallalaug pool, Skogafoss, DC3-plane crash site and also Vik with Durholaey and Reynisfjara's black sand beach. This guesthouse is OK and works just fine when all you need is a place to sleep. We didn't have any trouble with it....

Fantastic location, nice house, great amenities (laundry, etc). Siggy really does want you to feel at HOME - and this is fantastic. But I just couldn't get over the dirty, moldy showers and, well, unfortunately the owner had very poor personal hygiene and the I was not able to spend much time near her (like in the kitchen) because of...
