Great location for a break even though the weather wasn't great. The views across the lake were amazing. The village was quiet so quiet pints were even better after a long walk. House and facilities were excellent also

We stayed here a couple times before with our motorbikes, solo and in groups, and we keep coming back! It is run by a small family who are constantly working on patching things up there. And they have everything you can possibly want in a great outdoor camping experience! Plenty of toilets and showers, regularly cleaned. Plenty of tent spaces,...

We rented a mobile home with a fantastic lakeside view. It was coming to the end of the season, so it was a little quiet, which suited my son and I just fine. There's loads of local walks and forests to go off and explore, a group of youngish kids would love it. We rented a kayak and later a...

Went for one night on a tour of Ireland in our family campervan and it was certainly the worst campsite we stayed in. The facilities are grim and even though it is advertised as free and accessible, there is no wifi at all. I was also quite shocked by the cost as it was more than most of the other...

Myself and friends went camping here for 1 night and found it to be a lovely situated campsite which while being slightly rundown there appeared to be a lot of improvements done or being done. There were lovely canopys which gave much needed shelter and u can hire firepits which definitely enhanced ours and the childrens stay. I would have...

Seemed to be a lot of repair work taking place during our stay which is understandable after this years weather so had no problems with it, also there was no shop on site we had to drive to the centra in Scarrif if we required anything, agian...

We booked one of the site's own caravans at a cost of over €500 per week. It was dirty and damp; it took about 10 minutes to decide to leave. Sadly we couldn't leave on the day so were obliged to stay a night - we woke up to a slug crawling up the wall, which rather reinforced our decision...

Tv room/ camping kitchen, dog friendly, hard stands and grass pitches both in the wooded area and a green, clean bathrooms and showers. Campfires are allowed, as are gazebos. There isn't an onsite shop and it was noisy on the Saturday...

Lovely campsite and caravan park right on the shoreline of lough Derg about 2km or a 20min walk from Mountshannon village. Staff were friendly and helpful and you could drive around and pick your own pitch. Lots to do with kayaks for hire, tennis court, table tennis and a football pitch. you could hire a portable fire and buy wood...
