Comfortable, clean and quiet. It was exactly what we hoped for after a long day. Had a great night's sleep. We arrived late and the night staff was very friendly and professional. Blackout curtains and breakfast were nice perks.

It is one of few area hotels to offer free parking. Spaces are rather tight, but manageable, and I had no problem finding a free space during my two stays.

This hotel is very close to Lechmere station and walking distance to Kendall Square (15 minutes), for meals, there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but plenty within 10-20 minute walk.

Breakfast was good and there was a pressed juice option that I don't recall seeing at other Hamptons. THe bacon was limp and soggy the one time I saw it at the breakfast buffet... but all other options were consistently good.

The rooms have been updated to showers instead of bathtubs (unless you go for a handicapped room, but those have their own drawbacks), but they are nicely appointed and comfortable otherwise.

Currently there is construction all around it, and the noise starts right at or just before 7am, so sleeping in is not an option at this time - but if you are coming for business, that should not be a problem. It was easy to get in and out even during rush our.

We stayed at this hotel for an event by Fenway and chose it because of the reasonable price and free parking (so many hotels in the city charge $50+ to park). The hotel is right across the Charles River from Boston and was a $10 minute Uber ride to the Fenway Park area. I can't comment on walking distance to locations within Boston, as it was freezing cold and dark so we did not even try to walk anywhere. The hotel staff was very friendly, check in/out was a breeze, and the room was perfect for our needs (and clean!). There is also free breakfast in the morning in the lobby.

Parking is very limited in the underground garage. You need to check into the hotel and then use your room-key to access the garage. We had a full size sedan and it was still tight, as people parallel park on both sides of the garage and the spots themselves are small. I don't think a full size truck would be able to fit. We were advised by hotel staff not to take the car out once we parked because they were booked solid that night and could not guarantee a spot for every room. While free parking is a big perk, just keep this in mind when booking the hotel.

Overall, would highly recommend.

I was just here 7/9 - 7/11. I bought my Husband tickets to Fenway to see his Phillies play the Redsox and decided to make a weekend of it. The parking is free if you can get it. The parking area is under the building and there are but so many spaces and were told this could be filled and we would have to park across the street for a fee.

The hotel is located near a Free Lechmere bus station that takes you to the "T" North Station. There you can purchase a "charliecard" and add fares to travel in their subway system. The hotel provided us with a subway map to help us get around. So we took this to the game and back with no issues.

The hotel was clean and provided daily grab and go breakfast which was perfect I felt. This little box consisted of packaged hard boiled eggs, a prepackaged bagel, cream cheese, a small yogurt, and an apple and a container of orange juice. There were plastic utensils and condiments in the package. The only thing to wash here was the fruit. Overall this was a great breakfast for on the go.

Our room was close to the elevator so there was some noise as people were coming in and out. The room itself 502 was really nice. Its a city view. There was a building across where we did see people laying in their bed naked. I hope no one could see into our room.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. I appreciated the location the most. Although we did have to take public transportation it saved us hundreds we would have had to have paid to park in the city. It was right there and convenient. We used it to go to the ballpark, the Boston Commons and near the Sea Port. Walking and having this experience was amazing. We will definitely do this again and come here.

We had the pleasure of spending a night at the Hampton Inn, Cambridge/Boston. Check-in was simple. We were presented with a key card to access the FREE parking situated below the hotel, while our room was checked and inspected. We returned to the lobby to retrieve our room key and headed directly to the room. We had a king set up with a shower stall bath. The room was in good shape and it was spotlessly clean. I had the opportunity to use the gym too. The equipment was in good working order and the "gym" was well organized and, it too, was spotless. My husband has traveled during COVID for work. He sometimes returns to hotels he has previously stayed in. Much to his dismay, they are often disappointing because of a lack care and cleaning. Staff shortages have contributed to the appearance of wear and tear and in some cases, unsanitary conditions. The Hampton Inn, Cambridge/Boston has been the exception. The property is in great shape. The hotel clearly takes pride in the physical appearance of the rooms and common areas. They should be commended for their housekeeping team and their practices. It's unfortunate that simple cleaning practices made such a huge impression upon us, but this hotel raised the bar during trying COVID times and made us feel comfortable and safe. Kudos! Job well done.

The hotel was recently renovated and its rooms and public spaces are well-appointed. We were disappointed, however, that our first room had a heating system that was noisy and sounded like it would not made it through our stay. Our second room had a newer system that was satsifactory. Parking is under the hotel with parking alongside the outside wall of the roadway and litte room available for passage of automobiles. We were told that we should take an Uber to our destinations from and to the hotel, because there were fewer parking spaces than customers expected. As a person paying a substantial price for a hotel of this quality, I found that disconcerting.

Dear Rick R: Thank you for taking the time to tell others about your recent stay. I apologize for the HVAC issues you experienced with your first room, but I'm happy our team was able to provide a satisfactory room for you. Also, due to our city location and limited on-site parking, we are not always able to accommodate all arriving vehicles on-site. There is alternate, paid parking located nearby, but we do try to accommodate as many vehicles as possible. On nights when parking appears extremely limited, we do suggest utilizing public transportation or taxi/Uber/Lyft to travel. We hope you will stay with us again the next time your travels bring you back to our location. Warm regards, Lisa M. O'Neil

Nice and clean, friendly employees, perfect for my business trips because it’s within walking distance of where I need to go. Snack selection very limited and menu for recommended restaurant to order from struck out each time I ordered from them. Uber eats is the way to go at this hotel if you’re eating in. There’s construction going on next to the building and on the major street the hotel is located on and it’s a 24/7 shift so bring some ear plugs. Overall service is excellent. Facility is clean and the construction will move on someday

We stayed for 1 night with our 2 kids (10,&8) The staff was amazing, friendly and so helpful each time we dealt with them, from the several calls before we arrived to the many questions we threw their way when we got there. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and modernly decorated. We are from the country and city transit is foreign to us. The desk staff allowed us to park early (as they were slow that day) so we could go to the aquarium. They also helped us navigate the current travel situation with Lechemere station currently under construction. There is a shuttle right across the street that is free that will take you to north station and will bring you back for free as well. The operator at the station was just as helpful and friendly. It took about 30mins from the hotel to get to the aquarium on public transit and cost under $10 round trip as the kids were free. The breakfast was plentiful and a friendly staff member kept every clean. There were, omelets, sausage, muffins, bagels, yogurts, waffles, cereal, juices, coffee and more. We were quite stuffed from all of the choices. Add a pool and this would be the top choice for my family stay each time. Even without it we will be staying again next time we visit Boston.

This location is great. You are close to activities in Cambridge area, Fenway and to go downtown. You save staying here with parking included and breakfast included, so you can spend a couple bucks to Uber to your start of your day (downtown etc) or continue saving with transit at your door step.

Breakfast is good with plenty of options. One meat and one hot entree as well as waffles. Always cereals and yogurt, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, juice.

I’ve stayed downtown and would continue to do this location for the above reasons. It’s also a lot quieter and you don’t have the city noise at night. It was nice to leave the city behind and come to Cambridge to sleep. Dunkin’ is across the street. Little secret-there’s a nut factory just up the street, same side. Go in the front door to the right. They sell their product! Amazing all kinds of nuts, mixed nuts, flavoured etc. neat little find! (Superior nut company)

We were on then4th floor in a two queen room. It was clean and comfortable. Seemed updated. Spacious not crammed small like a lot of the downtown rooms you’d find lacking space.

No complaints. Staff were great and friendly.
