My girlfriend and I have stayed at this Hotel many times and have always had a good experience. Rooms are clean and comfortable and we love the free parking. The Lechmere subway station is also next to the hotel, but we usually walk into boston (about 15 minutes). The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
I was just here 7/9 - 7/11. I bought my Husband tickets to Fenway to see his Phillies play the Redsox and decided to make a weekend of it. The parking is free if you can get it. The parking area is under the building and there are but so many spaces and were told this could be filled and we would have to park across the street for a fee. The hotel is located near a Free Lechmere bus station that takes you to the "T" North Station. There you can purchase a "charliecard" and add fares to travel in their subway system. The hotel provided us with a subway map to help us get around. So we took this to the game and back with no issues. The hotel was clean and provided daily grab and go breakfast which was perfect I felt. This little box consisted of packaged hard boiled eggs, a prepackaged bagel, cream cheese, a small yogurt, and an apple and a container of orange juice. There were plastic utensils and condiments in the package. The only thing to wash here was the fruit. Overall this was a great breakfast for on the go. Our room was close to the elevator so there was some noise as people were coming in and out. The room itself 502 was really nice. Its a city view. There was a building across where we did see people laying in their bed naked. I hope no one could see into our room. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I appreciated the location the most. Although we did have to take public transportation it saved us hundreds we would have had to have paid to park in the city. It was right there and convenient. We used it to go to the ballpark, the Boston Commons and near the Sea Port. Walking and having this experience was amazing. We will definitely do this again and come here.…
This location is great. You are close to activities in Cambridge area, Fenway and to go downtown. You save staying here with parking included and breakfast included, so you can spend a couple bucks to Uber to your start of your day (downtown etc) or continue saving with transit at your door step. Breakfast is good with plenty of options. One meat and one hot entree as well as waffles. Always cereals and yogurt, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, juice. I’ve stayed downtown and would continue to do this location for the above reasons. It’s also a lot quieter and you don’t have the city noise at night. It was nice to leave the city behind and come to Cambridge to sleep. Dunkin’ is across the street. Little secret-there’s a nut factory just up the street, same side. Go in the front door to the right. They sell their product! Amazing all kinds of nuts, mixed nuts, flavoured etc. neat little find! (Superior nut company) We were on then4th floor in a two queen room. It was clean and comfortable. Seemed updated. Spacious not crammed small like a lot of the downtown rooms you’d find lacking space. No complaints. Staff were great and friendly.…
We stayed here on our last night of the trip because it was a great location and one of the more affordable hotels in Boston. There's a T station right next door to hop on the trains to go explore the city. The parking was a little tricky, especially trying to check in before having access to the garage. The lobby was a little under construction so not all of amenities were available. The rooms were recently renovated and they look great. We prefer Hamptons to Hilton Gardens so this was a solid choice.
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. During breakfast everything was replaced quickly when it ran out. Many choices of food available. Clean. Friendly. Walking distance to museum of science and other activities.
A typical decent Hampton Inn stay. The location is actually quite central (an easy 15 minute walk to MIT, 5 minutes to the science museum, good for strolls by the river, or for a selection of restaurants…), but with still the benefit of free parking on site. Our room was on the front of the hotel but street noise was minimal.
I've never paid this much and received so little. Spend your money elsewhere. The staff didn't follow thru to change my room and I stayed 5 nights. The air conditioning was too loud to sleep and the room was up against a subway track.
We had the pleasure of spending a night at the Hampton Inn, Cambridge/Boston. Check-in was simple. We were presented with a key card to access the FREE parking situated below the hotel, while our room was checked and inspected. We returned to the lobby to retrieve our room key and headed directly to the room. We had a king set up with a shower stall bath. The room was in good shape and it was spotlessly clean. I had the opportunity to use the gym too. The equipment was in good working order and the "gym" was well organized and, it too, was spotless. My husband has traveled during COVID for work. He sometimes returns to hotels he has previously stayed in. Much to his dismay, they are often disappointing because of a lack care and cleaning. Staff shortages have contributed to the appearance of wear and tear and in some cases, unsanitary conditions. The Hampton Inn, Cambridge/Boston has been the exception. The property is in great shape. The hotel clearly takes pride in the physical appearance of the rooms and common areas. They should be commended for their housekeeping team and their practices. It's unfortunate that simple cleaning practices made such a huge impression upon us, but this hotel raised the bar during trying COVID times and made us feel comfortable and safe. Kudos! Job well done.…
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was recently remodeled, free wifi, parking and breakfast. The biggest surprise was that its walking distance to Lechemere station where there is a free shuttle to TD garden where i was attending a concert. The hotel is also walking distance to the galeria mall. If I ever attend another concert in Boston at TD garden this is definitely where I will stay.
Clean rooms with modern decor. Free plentiful breakfast with seating in breakfast area as well as in adjacent lobby. Free parking is under the hotel-but can get quite crowded down there. Coffeemaker and fridge in the room. Microwave would be a great addition! Neutrogena products in bath. They are not offering daily maid service at this time due to COVID19. Snacks vending machine floor 7 and drinks vending machine floor 5. Walking distance to Lechmere bus shuttle to North Station and not far from Museum of Science and Galleria Mall.
