Cute and tiny room. Very clean. Wished there was an actual closet. Bed was comfy, but sometimes moved a little off the frame when I sat down since there was no box spring. The first valet when we got there was very nice and helpful. The second valet just drove our car up to us and left after he got his tip, did not even offer to help us with our luggage. But overall, stay at this hotel was enjoyable.
We reserved the Petite Double Twin, which was clean, beautiful, and nicely appointed. The room was small, but perfect for an overnight stay. The mattresses and pillows were supportive and comfortable. No troubles for my back. I'm glad we brought sleep masks, as the clock and thermostat displays were bright, in the otherwise dark room. I wish that the $28 valet parking fee had been clearly disclosed upfront. Overall, it offered a great night's sleep. We will come again!
We had a room with two twins and it's not exaggerating to say the beds took up 90% of the real estate in the room. The bathroom is equally tiny. If you can get past that, however, the hotel was great. Front staff was super helpful and pleasant, rooms were clean and we had the basement area with computers to ourselves on a weekend where we could sit and have a few drinks. Great French restaurant on the main floor (and when the employees came downstairs to eat they all spoke French which made me feel better about authenticity) that has drinks and a good, small menu. Less than 5 minute walk to the train, a Target and CVS. Great location that is close to lots of restaurants but still very quiet. Our room was next to the elevator and we didn't hear it once. Would definitely come back if you're looking for a relatively no-frills hotel for a reasonable price in a city that doesn't have many options for reasonably-priced rooms.…
The clerk at the front desk was friendly and check in was quick. We reserved a room with two twin beds and the room was quite small. The bathroom was particularly small and for some, could be tight. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room contained a little closet and a jacket hanging rack along with a little table. The location was quite good, within an easy walk to the Porter T stop and with several restaurants within easy walking distance. If you take the T to the hotel, once exiting the T, turn right, walk a short distance, and you will see it on the opposite side of the road, approx. across from the side of Panera and after CVS.
This hotel bills itself as a boutique hotel. I expected something akin to a Kimpton, with small rooms but other charming features. It’s just small rooms, like, the size of the bed small. We had a suite for a couple and our teen and the second room had a sofa, but not a bed. The staff was very helpful to bring a roll away bed for us, but even with two rooms, we felt cramped and cranky. Room was quiet from street noise, even tough facing busy Mass Ave (a/c was very loud). Furniture is all banged-up particle -board faux wood and bathrooms tiny as well. Room and common spaces clean but not as clean as what I would expect - visible dust. We chose the hotel because of proximity to universities but I think next time will stay closer to Boston. No covid protection with staff besides plexiglass at front desk (staff unmasked).…
