Not only is Terre Di Himera an amazing and magical place in itself, it is also a great place to use as a base for exploring Sicily. An hour's drive from Palermo airport, on a hill top in the middle of an archeological site, a beautifully restored farm house with comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms, clean and well kept, the grounds overflowing... This was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. Maria and Fabrizio were so kind and sensitive and are so talented. The rooms were beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the house. Dinner was spectacular and should not be missed! A great deal of care had gone into sourcing fantastic ingredients, which were cooked with great skill but not... More

My husband and I stayed three nights here as part of our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. It's in the perfect location- quiet and tucked away from the tourists, but a short drive to all of the sights to see in that area. Upon visiting Palermo and Cefalú, I was so relieved we stayed at the peaceful Terre Di... More

Everything about Terre Di Himera is practically perfect. The hosts, Maria and Fabrizio, are wonderful people, very knowledgeable about food, wine, and the area, and warm and caring people. Due to our extenuating circumstances, we stayed longer than planned and, therefore, slept in two different rooms during our stay. Both were lovely and tastefully decorated. The fresh gelsomino on the... More

We stayed overnight recently and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the residence that has great view over the sea. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable but the the thing that really stands out is the genuine friendly hospitality from Marie and the team. The breakfast is a delicious selection of local meats, fruits and cheeses with... More

The Host and Hostess of this delightful property were so welcoming and charming The Chef de Maison created the BEST of local farm to table Sicilian food ever! Each dish was exciting and so delicious. Food is the highlight here - it is fantastic. All organic, local, authentic etc with many small dishes to show off more flavours. Cooked by Maria, served by her and husband Fabrizio, the meals are great and highly recommended. We had 2 dinners - every dish was different each day, and delicious. The accommodation aims at simple rustic luxury and... More

We arrived on a very warm afternoon, having left a hot and busy Palermo behind us. Terre di Himera is an oasis of tranquillity and we received a warm and gracious welcome from Fabrizio who also kindly rustled up some lunch for us with lots of locally sourced meats and cheeses. This is a small holding that produces its own... More

The place is full of fresh and organic fruit and herbs. The food is all organic and home made. During meal time the owner explains what the food is and from where it is gathered. They made sure that all my food was gluten free and remembered all my dietary requirements.... I am definitely in love with this place and... More

We stayed here for 1 night after visiting Cefalu. The drive up to the hotel is on a small winding road, but it is not too far off of the main road. The setting is very nice and peaceful. The highlight of this hotel is the food, which is prepared by the lovely Maria, and each dish is wonderfully explained... More
