The place is somewhat of a sanctuary, because it is so unnecessarily away from anything. Took me too long to find it and by the time I got there, frankly I was disinterested in the experience. It's a tad pretentious. The breakfast staff were great though, attentive and eager to please. And yes breakfast was great. I would suggest one...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our recent trip around Europe. We were quite impressed in all aspects—our loft suite was clean and well-decorated with an amazing view, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the food stood out even by Tuscan standards. Special thanks to Marco warm memories and unforgettable service.

Having spent a lovely weekend at Lupaia with my husband last year, this year I decided to return for a two-week retreat. Lupaia is absolutely wonderful in every way. The grounds are beautiful, with fragrant trees, shrubs, flowers and herbs always leafing out and blooming and exquisite vistas of the Tuscan countryside. The characteristic stone buildings are likewise beautiful--ancient and...

Stayed here for 2 days and it was our favorite place we stayed inTuscany. Down a long dirt road and delightfully isolated. Wonderful breakfast. Wonderful hospitality. Did dine one night with them and the food was delightfully regional.

My wife and I had the most DREAMY stay at Lupaia! First and foremost, the staff is incredible! We love Renatta! She works evenings in the Hotel Dining room, what an incredible woman with an incredible story! When you are at Lupaia, you are family! We were fortunate enough to stay in the Montepulciano Suite and during a lighting storm...

We visited Lupaia this past summer and could not have had a better experience. Heidi and Christopher made us feel at home the minute we arrived. Our room, Basso, was a beautiful secluded villa with a garden in the back that looked out at Montefollonico. Breakfast every morning was an incredible spread of espresso, pastries, fruit, juices, jams, granola...you name...

The road to Lupaia is long, windy, and seemingly endless. But once you diligently follow the hand-drawn signs down the gravel roads, through the woods, and up a steep driveway, you arrive at one of the most glorious places I have ever visited. Nestled atop a hill between the towns of Montepulciano and Montefollonico, Lupaia is the epitome of Tuscan...

I have hardly seen any other picturesque and romantic place in Europe. What a GEM the Lupaia is here in the Tuscany, nestled amidst old olive trees and an amazing view onto Montepulciano and Montefollonico. I had such an unforgettable stay and unrivaled guest experience. Thank you Heidi, Christopher and Team for so many memorable moments...I will be back! ✨🇮🇹👍

We loved lupaia. Perfected location on a hill between Pienza and Montepulciano. Our room, Nido was spacious and charming. Service was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious. We had one dinner and it was very good. Perfect spot to tour this area of Tuscany. We came as second part of Tuscany holiday from a 5 star resort and while that was great,...
