The location in that beautiful little village in the Umbrian hills is picturesque. The old palazzo is perfect and authentic renovated. The rooms are big and clean and beautiful. We travelled by car and where a bit insecure when we arrived because we had to ignore some driving bans to geht to the piazza where the hotel and parking is located. We also booked some additional services which was organized by the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel staff did a mix-up with dates and days and we didn't double check. The hotel employee was very rude and aggressive asking us why we didn't show up for the appointment. She was doing some calls and complained about us to third parties. We where surprised about that conversational tone in a house like Palazzo Bontadosi. This didn't give us a good feeling and unfortunately made a very negative impression.

Dear guest, Thanks for finding the time to review your stay. Apologies for the misunderstanding, unfortunately sometimes some confusione may accour. I guarantee as I was present during the call, that we were not complaining about the fact you did not show up for the appointments, but that we were warried as we were expecting to see you and we did not. This is why we sent you an email asking if everythig was ok when we could not reach you by phone. Again I send you my sincere apologies, it has been a little bad luck mixed with occasional poor communication. We appreciate your review and we will work on that. We wish to have the occasion to see you again in the future and I change your mind. Kindest regards.

Umbria is on of our favorite places in Italy and Bontadosi was a new addition to Montefalco where we set up our base camp for Umbria to see Assiss, Spello, Spoleto and Orvieto which are beaautiful medieval hill towns. The small hotel has original frescoes which are beautiful. The room is big and is very nicely designed which looks right over the Piazza. The staff went above and beyond as my husband hurt his back. They called the doctor to come to the hotel and one of the guest staff drove him to the pharmacy and interpreted Italian for my husband. Kind, excellent staff. Highly recommended! A short walk away there are 3 fantastic restaurants and a great Gelato shop. Loved our stay in this beautiful property

Such a cute Italian town! The hotel is placed perfectly in the plaza, relax on the sofas in front and watch life go by. Then go in and enjoy a unique spa experience, an underground spa! If you can get the suite as they have beautiful ceilings. Rooms are comfortable and we got along very well with a few of their staff. Parking can be hard to find so make sure you check with the hotel before arriving.

The hotel has the perfect location for a stay in this beautiful medieval village. The fact that you will have to park your car at the parking that is about 300-400 meters away is into the bargain. The staff is very welcoming and ready to make your stay a memorable one. Once when the airco wasn’t working they immediately took care of a separate unit to bridge the time until the repair was finished. Breakfast is modest, like almost everywhere in Italy. Though you can ask for cold cuts etc. without any extra charge. The Spa treatment was OK, the spa itself was not impressive, but darkish and not up to the standards for this hotel. There was only one disturbing factor and that was the manager/director?/owner? of the hotel. All the staff was dressed properly, many even in uniform but the manager dressed as if he was just coming from the beach. The only one of the staff that I have seen smoking around the hotel. If you are the manager you are also the most visible member of the staf. Act accordingly and be an example!!! To sum up, we had quite a nice stay there and we will go back when in Montefalco, notwithstanding the points that are up for improvement.

Dear guest, Thanks for finding the time to leave us this nice review, and thanks for the comments that will help us improve our service. Apologies for the parking issue, during the whole year we have available some public space just right in front our garden, unfortunately during the last week of July and August Montefalco organise a folk celebration that take basically every empty spots inside the wall of this little town. You probably know how much Italians care about tradition. We will try to find better solution for the future. About the manager/director/owner you refer, he's actually the handyman, he's the most visible member of the staff also because he's available 24/7 and basically lives in the hotel. Anyway I will provide him with a uniform very soon. We all wish you a very pleasant summer and we send you kindest regards Maria Chiara

I strongly recommend Pazzazzo Bontadosi for a special weekend! The town itself is incredible. In a very beautiful building at the Central Square of the town, the Palazzo is elegant but with a modern interior. I have found there a remarkable treatment. The all team working here is attentive and beautiful to look at and never made me miss something. The Spa was an experience as much as the food/service at the restaurant, where I have tryed the best wine and trouffeles combination. Don't miss a lunch on the terrace where the view is amazing. Coming back next year! Thank you for the beautiful weekend!
