We wanted to spend one night here this August but ended up staying one night more. This B&B was super-clean, well managed, with a very large room and a nice price garden area in the back which also included ample room for our car. Everything looked brand new. The location is very quiet and extremely convenient to reach wonderful Montefalco (5 minutes by car) and many of the wonderful town nearby (Bevagna, Assisi, Spello etc.). The room was very large (really the equivalent of a bedroom and a living room). Private bathroom was not as large but perfectly fine. Breakfast while not memorable, but was good and varied (although the breakfast room is in a sort of basement, not so nice). They also have a swimming pool and a pretty good gym. We paid 35 euros per person which I think was an excellent price. We would definitely go back if we had to stay again in this wonderful part of Italy. If you dine in Montefalco make sure you check out the wonderful "Alchimista", excellent local cuisine, also very well presented, and fair prices, right in the middle of the charming square at the top of this wonderful town. We loved Umbria and its people!! P.S. Of course, if you like red wine you should make sure to have some of the excellent local Sagrantino di Montefalco, a very very good wine that is not so easy to find outside of Italy. It's a bit pricey even locally though, and a good bottle will easily sell for 20 euros or more, although you can find cheaper ones.…
We spent 5 days in this very nice B & B. The family is very friendly and helpful. We had a room nicely overviewing the pool and the hill up to Montefalco. Towels were changed every day and the room was always very clean. Breakfast was very good and every day there was a new type of cakes. Although the first days the weather was not so great, Eugene provided us with some very interesting recommendations. For the rest, we completely agree with what the other visitors wrote in their reviews. This B & B is to be highly recommended !
We are two older couples who spent 4 nights at this hotel in late September. Can't say enough good things about this family run hotel. Greatly exceeded our expectations even with its high ratings. Great customer service from the owner, his wife and son. The emphasis on the needs and comfort of their guests was evident from the moment of check-in including a glass of wine for all. The rooms were spotless, nicely appointed, cleaned daily including fresh linens. they either had a balcony with a nice view of Montefalco or a patio area for those in the back. Secure individual parking spaces behind gates. Wonderful breakfast that includes fresh bread, fruit, cheese, ham , bacon, coffee and cappuccino and freshly baked cakes & pastries by the owners wife. The son, Eugene, was extremely attentive to our needs and provided us with a great orientation to the area with maps and brochures and advice on what to see and how to get there. The owner and Eugene also provided us with invaluable help in getting a mechanical problem with our rental car resolved, going so far as to offer us use of one of their personal vehicles. The hotel also has a nice pool and a small but nicely equipped fitness room. This hotel makes a good base for exploring Umbria as Montefalco is central to the region. All in all a very enjoyable hotel experience and we highly recommend this hotel. Note: My wife contemplated the idea of kidnapping Eugene and bringing him home to meet out daughter.…
We had 2 nights at B&B Vallo and loved it. Our room was on the ground floor, so no balcony or view (slight shame), but we did have a nice grassy area outside our front door. The pool is small, but perfectly big enough to cool off and lounge around on a sunny day. Breakfast was great- fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries etc. And the shower was the best we've had on our trip so far. One downside, Wifi was only accessible in the breakfast room. Montefalco is less than a 5 min drive away and it is a beautiful hilltop town within stoned walls.
This is a very friendly family run hotel the standards are very high nothing was too much trouble - clean linen every day everything inside and out is kept very clean - I checked the hotel out on trip advisor before we booked and there were enough positives for me to book we were not disappointed this is a little gem I hope we can go back next year as we had a fabulous time - the choice at the cold breakfast is huge great food and service very relaxed - they have a couple of god bicycles and I loaned one to cycle up to Montefalco town (very high about 1600 feet) - we had access to a hire car which is essential when visiting Umbria it is very rural and stunningly beautiful- we found the locals very freindly "non parle italino was enough to get a smile and great service in the shops and supermarkets everyone was extreemely helpful. The towns are medieval and the atmosphere is very relaxed- we flew in from London Stanstead the only direct flights to Perugia are from here 2.25 hours - Perugia airport is small and a doddle there are only three incoming and outcoming flights per day (airport luxury) there is a cafe on the way out and that is it -…
