Casa Lurca is a very clean, comfortable, and warm hotel (we very much appreciated the heated tiles in the bathroom!) with spacious rooms. Some of the staff speaks english well. Breakfast is included in the price and was very good; we highly recommend the hotel restaurant---it specializes in traditional romanian food and has traditional, live music, but does not feel...

Went there following a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. Rustic setting with large and quiet rooms in late afternoon. Tasty Transylvanian food and large portions. We tried bean soup with smoked bacon and chard in bread and goulash soup.

The hotel is fairly modern, centerally located for what few items of tourist interest are in the city of Sigheti Marmatiei, and connected to a great restaurant. The room we had was very-very large (not sure if what we got was what I had booked, which was only a standard double room); had a desk, sofa and chair, and plently of...

Nice rooms with lots of wood features. Nice ambience and staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast ok with limited choice and restricted to fried eggs , toast and tomato , cucumber and yoghurt. Central location within walking distance of shopping.

While the food and the ambiance were both good - there's a hell of a lot of time of waiting! It took about 30-40 minutes to get our food (and my wife ordered the FAST lunch!!). I got a basket of bread in which you could find three different types of bread, out of which two had definitely been in...

Spent there several days/nights...it is just great...a place full of tradition and warmth...the only place to stay in the town and surroundings....afordable, clean, big rooms, nice barhrooms...every room has a name, a girl's name....the staff is great.... About the food...i simply don't have words enough to describe it....great is not enough... Traditional food and drinks (must try "palinca") will satisfy...

The food is really nice, big portions, almost couldn't handle them but obviously delicious. The staff are nicely dressed, wearing typical traditional costumes from Maramures area. The place its pretty busy and it seems to be well known in the area. Deserves a try, don t miss it.

We spent 12 days in Sighetu Marmatiei staying at Casa de Iurca in June 2016. Sighetu is the northern gateway to Transylvania and is a pleasant small town to base yourself, so that you can see all that the area has to offer. There are really only two hotels to stay in at Sighetu and as my wife is originally...

Old, renovated traditional building, in old historical Sighet. Great staff and host, we were very well received at the reception and at the restaurant. Great food, we were with a group and tried many of their specialties, and liked them all. The highlight of the evening was the folklore ensemble: music & dancing authentic, local atmosphere. Casa Iurca is within...

We spent 2 nights here and used their restaurant on both occasions. The hotel is an old building tastefully modernised inside whilst remaining characterful, with a good standard of facilities en suite. Breakfast served in the hotel is typical Romanian fare. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not expensive at around Euro40 per night for B&B.

“I was given the choice of several single rooms in a wide range of prices. I chose #304 a small dormer room for 91ron (about $30). It was was a good value. The shower was large but didn't drain properly and then backed up into the other part of the bath room. The room doorpost Ed out into the hall, but the hall rug was too high and interfered with fully opening the door.”
