My wife and I just returned from a weekend at the Jackson House Inn and to say we were impressed is an understatement. This is the perfect B&B with the perfect hosts. While the Inn itself is absolutely gorgeous, Rick and Kathy are the heart and soul that make this such a special place. We've stayed at many B&Bs but...

We recently visited the Jackson House for a two night stay. We have visited this inn a number of times in the last few years and every stay was excellent. Lovely property , great rooms and amazing breakfasts. Rick and Kathy are such warm, welcoming, wonderful hosts. Always such a pleasure to see them each visit and catch up on...

My husband and I spent one night here and it was absolutely lovely. The inn sparkles and shines, the hosts are friendly and welcoming, and the grounds are stunning. I can imagine how beautiful it would be in each of the seasons. But wait, there's more. The breakfast was spectacular! Both visually stunning, and everything made with precision and thought....

The style, attention to detail and passion for providing a world-class experience is second to none. The Jackson House Inn is a true gem in Woodstock, VT. The house and grounds are gorgeous and immaculate, but it's the people (Rick and Kathy) and food that set it apart. The food is out of this world; it demands a standalone shout...

We discovered the Jackson House in 2016. Have been there 4 times! Such a delight! Having traveled world-wide on business, I've seen just about every type of accommodation... and the Jackson House is right there at the top of the list. Beautiful grounds, tasteful period accommodations, outstanding food, welcoming hosts, well-appointed rooms and common spaces. If you are looking for...

The Jackson House Inn is the quintessential B&B experience. We had an idyllic Vermont stay with proprietors Rick and Kathy, and their staff, who certainly deliver what the photographs and descriptions promise. We came to ski, hike, and snowshoe, but were very tempted to hang out in the warm environment that Rick and Kathy have created. To start each day,...

Rick and Kathy are consummate hosts. The rooms are impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. Breakfasts are an event. Rick and his team create phenomenal breakfasts! He explains each dish, the ingredients and where the food was sourced from. It is a foodie's delight. We stayed for the weekend. We found Woodstock to be a quaint village with many interesting shops...

The view from our window shows snow and pine trees; we have a fire going and the room is beautiful and comfortable. This is one of the best B and B's we have experienced. The service has been excellent and the food, four stars. Recommend it to anyone wanting a combination of charm and elegance.

This is an exquisite home and inn that is owned and managed by a very thoughtful and sophisticated couple. Every detail shows their loving attention. Kathy and Rick deserve to be very proud of their accomplishment. Besides being a charming couple, they sincerely enjoy their guests and providing every service to enhance your enjoyment of the unique Woodstock area. Never...

Very rarely do you visit a place that not only lives up to, but exceeds expectations. This is one of those places. We had read the reviews here and wondered if it could actually be that good. It is! Hosts Rick and Kathy are simply delightful. They clearly have a passion for what they do and this is evident across...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Jackson House Inn offers refined relaxation surrounded by the beauty of Vermont. Just outside the village of Woodstock, our property is perfect for a private romantic getaway or a chance to reconnect with friends. 6 one-room suites with fireplaces and 5 classic bedrooms blend history with modern conveniences - all with an en-suite private bathroom with shower (some with massage tubs), WIFI, in-room controlled air conditioning/heating, most with HD television service. Locally-sourced, organic products are featured in a memorable multi-course full breakfast served at individual tables in our dining room, and non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages are available at all times. Wines, beers and spirits are available in the late afternoon/early evening. Stroll three acres of grounds including a freshwater pond and perennial gardens or gaze at the landscape from patios, balconies and chairs on the lawn. In colder months, a floor-to-ceiling woodburning fireplace burns during breakfast and the evening hours. ... more   less
