Beautiful bed and breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room. Loved the towel warmer in the bathroom. Great shower with great water pressure an important point because this is not the case in other Inns. The breakfast prepared fresh and served in 2 courses was unbelievable so delicious

Perhaps one of the most memorable weekends of my adult life. Kathy and Rick are unbelievably kind and warm (and Rick's cuisine belongs among the all time greats). Leaving was like be pulled from a cozy dream. We will absolutely be back.

My husband and I were blown away by the hospitality and amazingly delicious breakfasts we received at the Jackson House Inn! Rick and Kathy are gracious innkeepers and go out of their way to make sure you have a lovely stay. We stayed in Clara's room with a beautiful fireplace, views of the garden, the most comfortable king sized bed,...

What a gem! This was our first time at the Jackson House Inn in Woodstock. The Inn was warm and inviting and it always spelled fantastic, not to mention the homemade chocolate chip cookies. Rick's breakfasts were out of this world extraordinary. Everything was delicious and made from all local grown ingredients. We were hesitant when he described the breakfast...

For Thanksgiving this year my family treated me to a weekend stay at the Jackson House Inn. We jumped at the chance to snag one of the RARE availabilities in Woodstock's premier bed and breakfast during one of Vermont's most festive times of the year. What a treat! We were greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies oozing of warm dark...

My husband and I planned a trip to Woodstock to celebrate our ten year anniversary and decided to stay at the Jackson House Inn. We mainly decided on it because of its proximity to town, its great reviews, and because the rates were more affordable that the Woodstock Inn, but let me tell you, this place could be charging double...

This is our second visit to the Jackson House Inn. We could not have had a better stay. The inn is immaculate and tastefully decorated. The public areas are inviting and there are several comfortable areas to relax and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine . Rick and Kathy are wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome...

There's much to be said about this lovely inn, but I will stick to the essentials. It's difficult to find a place with so many qualities and such a warm atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable without being pretentious, and the whole house is very cosy (and impeccable!), with coffee and tea available at all times. The garden is...

The rooms are spotlessly clean and beautiful and have wood floors. The public areas of the inn are great - there are places to sit and read or chat and the outside garden and pond are beautiful. Rick and Kathy are excellent hosts and are warm and welcoming and have great suggestions on things to do in the area. There...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Jackson House Inn offers refined relaxation surrounded by the beauty of Vermont. Just outside the village of Woodstock, our property is perfect for a private romantic getaway or a chance to reconnect with friends. 6 one-room suites with fireplaces and 5 classic bedrooms blend history with modern conveniences - all with an en-suite private bathroom with shower (some with massage tubs), WIFI, in-room controlled air conditioning/heating, most with HD television service. Locally-sourced, organic products are featured in a memorable multi-course full breakfast served at individual tables in our dining room, and non-alcoholic hot and cold beverages are available at all times. Wines, beers and spirits are available in the late afternoon/early evening. Stroll three acres of grounds including a freshwater pond and perennial gardens or gaze at the landscape from patios, balconies and chairs on the lawn. In colder months, a floor-to-ceiling woodburning fireplace burns during breakfast and the evening hours. ... more   less
