This was our fourth visit and the Hoopoe Yurt Hotel gets more and more beautiful with every trip. We got engaged here, we got married here, we spent the first part of our honeymoon here and it's the first place we think of when we are in need of restoration. Henrietta and Ed have created something wonderful - the whole...

The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel is one of those places you go to and dream about going back. From the moment Susan found the website I knew it was our kind of place, we looked forward to going for months before our visit in May 2011 and it delivered way above our wildest expectations. From the moment we arrived, we chilled...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, family and friends thought it a little odd at first that we were, as they put it, going to "camp" on our honeymoon but to be quite honest this was the best holiday we have ever been on. It was quite simply paradise. From the amazing dinners and cocktails to the...

The Yurt Hotel is one of our favourite places on Earth. We are two best friends and we have come every year for the past 5 years. These are the 7 reasons why We Heart Hoopoe: 1. You can be totally alone in your half acre of private space around your yurt, or you can meet and get involved with...

This is now our 3rd stay and it just gets better! A new area has been built with a lovely open and covered seating section with a bar and pool with lounge chairs around it. Once again amazing food available throughout the day and evening dining on par with what you'd expect at top restaurants at very reasonable prices. The...

Having stayed here first 2 years after opening when there were just 4 yurts we were keen to try again. After a white knuckle drive we arrived and we greeted by Henrietta and her barrow which is a great way of helping with your bags. We were shown to our yurt, one of the new ones. It was in private...

I completely agree with the last reviewer - I also went for rest and relaxation and wasn't disappointed. I stayed in the Safari Yurt and highly recommend it - really beautifully decorated and a good distance from the other yurts and the restaurant /bar area, so that apart from the occasional noise from the family, you feel completely secluded and...

I wanted to get away for a week of total relaxation and time out in nature and The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel was just the ticket. Looking at other reveiws I would whole heartedly agree with the feeling of relaxation as soon as I arrived, by the end of the week I was so relaxed I was falling asleep every time...

We arrived to Hoopoe on a Wednesday evening, not really knowing what to expect. The directions off the website aren't great so we had to do a lot of asking people in our broken spanish!! We got directions and followed them and thought we had arrived when we came upon a farmhouse with two yurts in sight - but there...

We were bought this as a honeymoon gift by a bunch of friends and it was GREAT. I never would have considered staying in a yurt before this trip (associations of yoghurt weaving eco fascism, would have previously sprung to mind). But nothing could have been further from the truth :) Ed and Henrietta were really great hosts - both...
