A beautifully designed hotel with a grand foyer and spacious, well-appointed rooms. The bar and restaurant (Atlas) are good but the prices are bordering on the absurd, as is the pricing of room service and the mini bar. If you don’t mind paying through the nose, it’s a very nice place to stay!

Hotel's Favourite
I booked a weekend at the St. Regis for a staycation & it was an amazing experience. We were doing a girls staycation for my mother's birthday & it also served as a getaway for my niece, who needed some time away & hasn't had much of an opportunity to get away. The St. Regis did not disappoint. The service when we checked in was welcoming & the champagne at check-in was a nice touch. They knew we were celebrating a birthday & did something special for that. The rooms, spa, & pool were so relaxing. What made this stay even more wonderful was the staff. Brian (who helped with our luggage) Ibrahim, Rita at the front desk, Alejandra at the pool and Deidre at the spa were all amazing. And when we went for Afternoon Tea, Jasmine was just so kind! The service at The St. Regis was top notch. Initially I was disappointed because I was not able to get a room upgrade (a benefit of a credit card I hold) which I assume was due to no availability. However, the room we had, even without the upgrade was beautiful The private dining was great. One exception, the pancakes were extremely crispy, rather than light and fluffy. I will point out that one of the days, my mother wasn't feeling well and the staff went out of their way in helping get me what I needed to help take care of her. I live in Atlanta & I must say, I will be planning on more staycations at The St. Regis & will be booking again very soon! I can't thank the Atlanta St. Regis family enough for making our stay so incredible!

I wish I had listened to all the recent negative reviews about this hotel. First, their middle elevator was out of service and they didn't take it offline so when I requested an elevator it came and I got on. I felt the elevator shake and drop and the doors would not open. I was traumatized. I would not feel safe at this hotel, you could literally die in their elevator and no one would care. Second, their off duty officer barked at me when my Lyft pulled in and I got out of the car. They had a sign directing traffic to the left instead of the right. When my Lyft driver followed their instructions there was nowhere to go except against traffic, so the driver let me out. The contracted security officer came up and meanly shouted, you need to watch what you're doing. I said I'm not the driver, he said you got out of the car. I insisted on a full refund as I will not be spoken to any old way. I showed the manager Dimitri the sign, and the officer came up to harass me again saying he was contracted and that he would continue doing what he was contracted to do and he claimed he wasn't rude. Dimitri agreed, never tried to find out why the sign was confusing, never assigned someone to direct traffic, and was fine with this horrific mistreatment. St. Regis at first refused a refund when I said I was going to check out immediately, but changed their dreadful tune when I called American express. I got my laundry and dry cleaning upon checking out and there were apx. 25 pieces of someone else's laundry interspersed with mine. I had to do a full audit against the laundry tickets to make sure they had returned everything. As previous guests have stated, thus hotel is worth less than a Hampton Inn and with worse customer service. If your safety and well being matter to you; and if you don't want to be abused, then pls find another hotel you meet your needs.

I want to share my review of the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta, GA. Let me start by saying that my husband and I are not wealthy – we do okay but certainly not enough that we could afford the St. Regis prices often. That being said we love to travel, and I personally love luxury hotels along with the amenities that come with these stays. We have been to Europe 7 times now and we stay at the top hotels there, but I will not compare the St. Regis to any of them as that would not be an apples-to-apples comparison. However, we have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC, The Langham in Chicago, The Windsor Court in New Orleans and many, many others. The St. Regis is the most expensive hotel in Atlanta and for that price I expect as near perfection as you can get. That is sadly not what I experienced. We arrived on a Friday evening around 6 pm. The valet area was very crowded and frankly a little hazardous as cars were being driven in multiple directions and at speeds that are really not conducive to a parking/loading area. Considering their inflated valet price of $56 a day I was seriously unimpressed. The Langham in Chicago is in the heart of downtown, only charges $50 and it is like a well-oiled machine. The lobby was nice – note I did not say breathtaking as I could say about the Windsor Court or the Waldorf. The young lady who checked us in was friendly but not very knowledgeable about the hotel because when asked if there was a hot tub she said “No, there is only a pool”. Later in our stay we went to the pool just to take note of it and interestingly there ACTUALLY was a hot tub but it was NOT covered and it had leaves in it and was clearly not operational. This is something I would expect to see at a Motel 6 but at this hotel it was really unforgivable – why not cover it or put a sign up – SOMETHING??? Let’s talk about the room now. We booked a Grand Deluxe King with a balcony. The balcony was large but not really pleasing to the eye – from our balcony we saw nothing but buildings and of course that means anyone in these buildings could also see us – this is off-putting in an $800/night room. The bathroom was large and at first glance pretty cool. However, at closer inspection the sinks in the vanity had not one but 3 large cracks in them. The tub although stupendously large had many visible scratches in the bottom that I first mistook for dirt. I realize the property is old but at these prices they could at least REPAIR these things. I wanted to order room service so I looked at the menu on the iPad they provide. The All-Day Dining was 1 page – I almost cried. How is it possible that a 5 star hotel has less offerings on their menu than most 3 star places? I cannot accurately describe my disappointment. Room service is part of the luxury experience for me and this was just too sad. The fridge in the room was small, not very cold and chock full of ridiculously overpriced alcohol. I had a medicine that I need to refrigerate and could barely wedge it in there. A friend of mine had called ahead and spoke to a St. Regis butler to say it was my birthday so my husband had expected to see something in the room when we arrived. It was not there then but when we came back from dinner there was a single cupcake and a bottle of Prosecco which I abhor. The cupcake was very pretty but so dry that I only took one bite without having to drink some water. I left it for the next day as I was full from dinner. Amusingly enough when we came back the next day after going out for lunch, we found the maid had thrown it away. My husband was pretty upset and called to complain. They agreed to “make” another one. So, one would assume that it would be fresh but it was dryer than the first and the icing tasted like lard and left a film in my mouth. We also had their famed Afternoon tea experience which I will review at the end of this. The bed was comfortable but the blanket was the type that makes me extremely hot and I could not get the room cool enough to cancel that out. Turn down service was a nice touch with the slippers and chocolates but I’ve seen it done more elegantly at less expensive places. My last impression was also not great. I called to say that I needed ice in a bag for the medicine that I need to keep cold – I was informed that they had no suitable bags – not even one Ziploc bag. Maybe the $800/night guests don’t merit these luxuries. Basically we paid what is for us an exorbitant amount in an attempt to have a fun, luxurious birthday getaway. It was fun but that had nothing to do with the St. Regis and I won’t forget it because it set us back quite a hefty amount but I would rather travel the much greater distances to visit hotels who value the customer more than they value how much the customer can pay. Don’t waste your money here. Atlanta has hundreds of hotels and many of them cost significantly less and the experience would certainly not be worse.

We spent a long weekend on one of the rare non humid weekends and really enjoyed our stay. While our room was not ready at a 4:30 checkin, we were given a drink credit to enjoy in the bar. Our room was wonderful - it's hard not to sleep well in the dreamy beds and linens. We spent one day poolside and enjoyed a great lunch - though as much of the food here - it's quite pricey. All the attendants and servers were very accomodating. We also enjoyed being so close to many of Atlanta's fabulous restaurants. If you are looking for a very special treat - this is it.

Great service, the hotel building itself is wonderful, and I have enjoyed previous stays here previously. However, there is major construction that is very loud (think jackhammers) that can be heard throughout the guest rooms and in common areas during the day like the restaurants. Very importantly, there is no notice given to this disruption on the hotel's website when you go to book. I was staying here for business and would have stayed elsewhere if I'd known I could not have gotten work done in my own room (noise level too high to be on phone w/ someone else). For >$600/night, completely unacceptable. What makes this significantly worse is the fact that when I brought this up w/ reception, the woman stated that SEVERAL customers have had the same complaint and made clear it's unacceptable. I appreciate her honesty, but what a gross abuse of guests' trust in the St Regis brand.

The whole experience here has been shocking. All the planning we made seems to have been ignored, or just not bothered with There is little room for negotiation as a group so i don’t know what it must be like as a single guest. It seems you have to be grateful to stay Furniture in the breakfast room is tired and falling apart. The control panels in the rooms need a science degree to operate. Lighting is either emergency bright or off. Not even a bedside light to read by. Internet is very slow to non-existing. I have never wanted to leave a hotel so quickly They insist you leave by noon, dont worry, i will be gone earlier than that.

I had the pleasure of staying at five-star hotels throughout my years of travelling. As an Marriott Ambassador Loyalist (and soon to be Titanium Member), I can say that this property is the Gold Standard in luxury, service, elegance and class. This is my second stay within the last three years. In a world today, we have so many changes in what standards are. Some brands compromise due to cost, availability, resources, staff and training. St. Regis does not compromise these standards and they still hold the value of true service and excellence. Its all about details, first impressions of the property that curate the vibe/experience. The decor, lighting, fragrance of the lobby, sound of the music, the culinary experience of the day (i.e. root beer float stand). The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff within you first hour. This is critical as it imprints the perception and expectations a guest is anticipating to receive while staying on property. This is by far my favorite property and the only hotel I will stay at while in the Atlanta, GA area.

Truly a disappointment and not indicative of the St. Regis brand of hotels. Used to staying with the St. Regis specifically in Bal Harbour and NYC, and figured Atlanta would meet the standards associated with the brand. Guess I was wrong. Check in was a pain in its own. Arrived at 12:00pm and only was able to get the keys at 5:30pm after putting up a stink. Upon getting into the room, the chairs were ripped, pubic hair still in the jacuzzi tub and stains on the towels. We had three rooms and you would assume that they would at minimum maintain some high standards. Two of the rooms received no housekeeping services at all during the entire stay. Ended up getting valet charges when we didn't even have a car and told that the valet said they were valid so they remain until the manager got involved. Was ignored by the concierge when requesting to use the house car and the valet attendant informed that we couldn't use the car because he was busy and walked away. They didn't open the doors to the cars when driving up when they did for others. Friend of mine was completely ignored at the Astor Cafe for lunch when the waitress asked the three of us for drinks and ignored him until he had to ask on his own for something to drink...visibly a race thing! No assistance with bags nor opening the door and just looking at you. Told that "you could walk there" when asking to use the house car when we were heading out for dinner. A complete and utter disappointment and poor example of the St. Regis brand. Was compared to other patrons who have a higher status (I.e. ambassador, etc) when requesting items that should be provided regardless. Truly a poor experience and not sure I would ever recommend St. Regis Atlanta for any of your stay needs. Poor customer service and interaction which doesn't compare to the overall beauty of the property.
