Wevelyn and Tamesha, the bartenders were so sweet and made me some of the best margaritas Ive ever had! The rooms with runway views are incredible too! The restaurant is also top tier! #Delicious I highly recommend this hotel as a Marriott platinum elite member.
Wayne was beyond welcoming when I arrived at the Renaissance Hotel! Always nice after a long day of travel to be greeted in a positive way and to feel welcomed. Love Marriott and will definitely be back. Thanks Wayne! Hotel is great too - definitely recommend.
Iffy parts first: - the bathroom was surprisingly lacking in privacy. Not only did the door slide open unless you were VERY specific in ensuring it was closed, but sounds from the bathroom almost felt amplified in the rest of the room. And the narrow window (clouded glass) meant that -- even if you did fully close the door to use the bathroom late at night, turning on the light would wake up anyone else in the room. - Rowdy Tiger bar/restaurant attached to the lobby says it has a "rooftop bar." That rooftop is on the third (ish) floor, but the hotel is about 20 floors. So - don't expect any scenic views. (also not a fan of their breakfast - but that's a different review) Otherwise - this is a standard hotel that handled everything just fine. Beds were plenty comfortable. Mini-fridge and TV. Good location to visit midtown Atlanta points of interest, plus easy access to the MARTA midtown station. …
We scheduled our Board of Trustees Dinner at the Renaissance Hotel Midtown Atlanta. Everything was perfect. The staff was extremely helpful. The meal was delicious, nicely presented and hot. They did everything we asked of them. Very organized and efficient!
Stayed here for 2 nights as a Titanium elite member. Typical rooms with nice bed and comfortable linens. Everything worked in the room except toilet which did not fill with water. Decent shower. Comfortable lobby. Friendly staff. Elite benefits include $10 for food or drink and breakfast in their restaurant. Breakfast was basically anything on the menu which was very nice. Adequate fitness center. There were 2 Peloton bikes. Good location to Georgia Tech and walking distance to a great Starbucks Reserve!
The Renaissance Hotel is well managed and staffed with friendly professionals. From the great valet service at the curb to the housekeeping and restaurant, you can expect getting a top notch experience. Rooms are modern and quiet. Location is great for Atlanta access.
This downtown hotel was in a great location. The front desk staff was wonderful, fun, upbeat, and welcoming! The valet was nice, but run by a contractor not by the hotel. Our room was modern, with cool artwork, and pretty spacious. Our only complaint is that there was no room service and the hotel restaurant offered a very limited menu and it was packed and roaring. It was so loud we had to shout to be heard and the waitstaff said there was no place to sit other than the bar. We had hoped for room service at a hotel at this price point. But they are getting the front desk staffing right - they were GREAT!
We have stayed here for years for an annual conference at Georgia Tech and this year was terrible. The biggest issue was that we parked 1 day, @ $45/per day because we got in late and moved the car to the G-Tech garage for $25/day. When we left there was a line at the check in/out kiosk so I checked out on the mobile app. When we got home and looked at the bill they charged us for 2 more nights. $90! We immediately called and was told that they would contact accounting, give them 7 – 10 days to adjust. Did Not Happen. Called again after 11 days and got the same line. No one ever contacted us. So we are out $90 and paid another $50 for the other parking. I am Lifetime Titanium, so good luck to others who have no status. VERY disappointing. Pros: • Location • Some staff members • Room layout/upgrade Cons: • We understand the new cleaning rules and are okay with it BUT when you don’t get the towels you requested, they NEVER emptied the garbage, as requested, and basically didn’t listen to the few requests we had, like wanting more toilet paper. • Complimentary breakfast one day because the restaurant was closed was terrible. • Restaurant breakfast, that reopened, which used to be really good, was not and we only went one time, even though I get it for free. We will be staying at the Georgia Tech hotel as we attend the conference in the future.…
From the time I arrived to check in it was a delight. Autumn went above and beyond to make sure I had a great room. She was nice, courteous and very welcoming. That's how every guest should be greeted. I had an issue with my room key, and she quickly sent someone up to help me and the gentleman who helped even offered to take my bags inside for me. I hope management does everything to keep Autumn happy, in this day it's hard to find great employees. She honored my Marriott gold elite member status by giving me a late checkout. The restaurant staff are also amazing as well, the location is convenient, and my room was clean and bed comfortable. I will definitely be back soon.
Staff, rooms, hotel were all very good. Only complaint is that the restaurant menu was Extremely limited for both breakfast and dinner. Food was good, but so few options on the menus was a big turn-off.
