Be warned—high risk area. We stayed here for several nights just at New Year’s. One night, we came back to the hotel at about 10 pm, to find that about half a dozen of cars’ windows were smashed open. If you see the comments for this hotel, the same thing had occurred in October 2021. 2) We came back on another day, found a cockroach scurrying across our room. See the separate comment titled “Roach Motel.” 3) On our last full day, the toilet was stopped up. It gradually improved during the day, but when we came back at 7 pm. We were going out again and asked the front desk to send someone to unclog the toilet. We came back to find that the toilet was still blocked up. We asked at the front desk. She said that that person could not get into our room, which does not make sense. I had to ask the woman at reception to get a plunger for me to use. She had to check several rooms before she could find one. I had to do the job myself, done in 5 mi minutes. I would feel unsafe staying here. We decided not to keep our car but instead secured an off-site parking lot connected to the airport. Will not come back here, or any other airport hotel.…
We are a family of 7. We stayed 2 nights. Check in was quick. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Lake view is is nice although we did enjoy the lake as much being that is was winter. Water was cut off for hours without notice. We would of made plans before it's shut off. We did not appreciate it since 3 family members did not take showers before having to leave for a plan trip to downtown. We would of giving it a 5 star have they simply warn us we would of understood. Breakfast was great with lots of options for kids and adults. Family really enjoy breakfast. My young adult children use the gym. Shuttle was always available when we would secure it at a specific time. You have to vigilant and ready when it rolls around though. Would stay there again specially of I have family with me.…
Hotel is fine but multiple cars broken into overnight. No security and no assistance from hotel personnel. They literally Shrugged their shoulders. Hotel wouldn’t even give tape to help cover our broken car windows.
We spent one night at this hotel to take advantage of its vehicle parking and shuttle to the airport. The facility was clean and comfortable. My issues are in regard to their billing practices and airport shuttle. When we arrived I was told that their credit card system was down and that they would have to make a copy of my card. The next morning I had two charges appear from Roadway Inn, not Holiday Inn. The issue was resolved but it took two trips to the front desk and a call to my credit card company. The other issue is in regard to the shuttle service. Our shuttle to the international terminal was efficient but upon return, we were informed that they would not pick us up at the international terminal. Be wary of this hotel.
Worst hotel stay ever. Booked a group stay. The staff made no effort whatsoever to make this a decent experience. There's probably a character limit, so I'll try to summarize the long list of issues. First, the attitudes of just about everyone working there were horrible. The young man working the front desk at night was very pleasant to speak with and happily did what he could to assist us, but the middle-age lady that works during the day, along with the housekeepers...their attitudes were bad every day of our stay. You could even see it in their faces before asking a question. We were a pretty large group and just about everyone expressed the same concerns. There were so many issues we experienced. The lack of care & concern expressed by the staff was unbelievable. This led me to believe that these issues and complaints were a common thing and weren't going to be addressed nor fixed. I was correct. It was obvious the standards were pretty low at this hotel. The first issues occurred as soon as we stepped foot off the 3rd floor elevator. We were greeted with a horrible stench that consumed the entire floor. As we held our breath to get to our room, I noticed how dirty the hallway floor was. Food, trash, crumbs, and dirty wet wash cloths strewn about. It was disgusting to see and walk past. Went back down to the front desk and immediately brought the situation to their attention. Back in my room, I then noticed how filthy the room was. The air was dirty and stale, the room was dreary, and the lighting was extremely poor. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned. The beds had visible soils and stains. No bed skirt, so the lower foundation mattress was exposed and was the dirtiest I've ever seen. Stains on the top comforter. Visible hair on my pillow. The AC vent was extremely dirty. The phone didn't work. The walls were filthy with visible stains all around, especially leading to the bathroom. Orange and brown stains on the door and walls. The bathroom sink had yellow stains in it and on the counter. It was obvious that ZERO attempt had been made to clean this room thoroughly. I overheard another guest asking a housekeeper for assistance and she blew him off explaining that she is 'getting off work after finishing with this room'. Absolutely ridiculous. The lighting in the room was extremely low/poor especially in the bathroom. While in the room, a staff member used a key card and walked right in on us with towels in her hand, which we didn't request. It was probably a last minute effort to straighten out the room. I thought maybe my room's condition was a single occurrence, so I checked out other rooms of those in my group. All of the issues were common. The 3rd floor was the only floor that stunk. We moved to another floor. This floor was cleaner than the 3rd and the room appeared a tad bit better, but we still saw stains on the bed base, walls, carpet, and ac vents. We received no room service until the day of checkout, which they show up knocking on your door at 8AM asking what time are you leaving. We should've also been made aware that they experience car thefts and break-ins. But we found that out the hard way when several cars had windows busted out and were broken into the night before we checked-out. The hotel offered no apology, no assistance, simply didn’t care. If it weren't for an entire group staying here, I would have cancelled and left. The hotel is absolutely dirty, from the rooms down to the seating in the lobby. Two bugs were in our room during our stay. The key card access that allows guests inside from the outdoor deck seating area doesn't work, so guests are stuck out there until someone notices them trying to get in. The in-room sockets and phone chargers don't work. Also to note, a group of guys, who clearly weren’t guests, were walking around outside casing the parking lot and eventually came into the hotel and ran through all three floors before eventually running off outside. To add to everything else, the pool was closed during our entire stay and we weren't informed beforehand. For a family group stay, we should've been made aware of this. Due to this stay, I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.…
Here’s the list of problems Heat/cooler didn’t work in room very well. Sockets to charge phone by bed broke Very uncomfortable chair in room No toilet paper roller No coffee for coffee machine Bed too high for short people Only trash can is in bathroom very small one Bathroom floor dirty Dirty around toilet Shower floor dirty No lamp on desk Fire alarm going off 2 days in a roll. They said it was due to dust. No pictures on the walls. The bed was comfortable. Bedding was clean. Felt safe at the location. They need to get their act together. It could be a very nice place. Free breakfast was okay. Staff that was there was nice. They have a large lake in back. It’s pretty. Big deck on back to enjoy lake.
Lawrenceville Georgia Holiday Inn Express. Prepaid and that night someone knocked on the door at 2AM to slide the bill under the door, and woke us up. Also, during the night while my girlfriend slept roaches ran across her, and I had to kill them. Mind you the rooms looked fine. Stay with caution, and bring bug spray.
If it could go wrong it went wrong and they were rude about all of it. First our room wasn’t ready, it was after the check in time. The lady at the front desk was rude AF, telling me about all the issues. I just wanted my room, that I had paid for. Came back an hour later, given a key to a room only to find there was some one in the room, back to the desk, waited again for a ridiculous amount of time and was told the kind of room I had booked and paid for wasn’t available and I needed to accept a lesser room, fine…gives me the key. Go to room to find it’s not been cleaned, gross! Back to the front desk I go. Was told to hold up again, finally given my third room assignment…looked to have been cleaned by room service but I did find two open bottles of water on the floor. Also no towels and no soap. Back down to the desk…it’s been two hours at this point, three if you count the hour we had to waste before we came back. Went and got our own towels and never received any soap so I had to go buy some. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! They didn’t care about all the issues, no offer of a voucher or a refund even when I asked. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY…
Clean and recently remodeled; staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. The deck is a nice touch to see water and woods. There is airport and train noise, but it is also very convenient near stores/walgreens/pizza.
Upon arrival, I was told that the room I had booked was not available because "housekeeping didn't do their job" and did not clean the room. The man working the front desk went on to mention how upset he was that his coworker was late for her shift and he had somewhere to be and that there have been MULTIPLE issues with the hotel since he started working there. While I was there another guest came down to complain that her room was dirty and had rice on the bed and floor and another gentleman who worked there started arguing with her saying he had personally vacuumed her room. The front desk gentleman called the manager who said if I waited there a while (at least 30 minutes) he could try to accommodate me but there were no guarantees. It was clear the man at front desk was over his job and did not want to be there and certainly did not care about the guests. Due to the fact that, by this point, it was after 8pm, the only comparable accomodations I could find elsewhere were for $140 per night MORE than I would've paid at the Holiday Inn. However, since it was clear that conditions at the Holiday Inn were less than desirable, I decided to reserve elsewhere. When I went back in to tell the front desk, the lady who was late had arrived and she was also less than pleasant. When I asked for confirmation of the cancellation so I wouldn't be charged since they didn't have the room I booked, she said there wasn't one and acted like I was an idiot for even asking. Would NOT recommend!…
