Everything was just perfect. All the small details. The cake and coffee on check in, very special rooms and linens. Great breakfast. Very personal hospitality by the owners. Very peaceful. Great shower and super comfortable bed.
I stumbled upon Stonehurst by chance and am so glad that I did. The room was exquisite, the location perfect and the hospitality from John and Grace everything you could ask for. The next time I am in Atlanta I will be staying here!
We enjoyed free parking, a very comfortable room, and a delightful breakfast in this beautiful old home, situated right in the city but in a residential area. The hosts welcomed us and gave us some helpful advice about getting around the city and what to see. We would love to stay at Stonehurst Place again if we return to Atlanta.
My husband and I stayed 4 nights and loved everything about Stonehurst Place. It's on a lovely street of historic homes in Midtown and is conveniently located. The property is beautiful and wonderfully maintained. There are several lovely places in the house to sit and enjoy the company of others or look through the interesting book collection and historical photos of the house and owners. Breakfast was delicious every morning and it was served when we sat down at our scheduled time. Home baked goodies in our room in the afternoon were a bonus. A key part of our experience were the hosts, Grace and John - warm, personable, welcoming, and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better hosts.
John, Grace and the rest of the staff were exemplary! Breakfast was superb each morning and was served promptly. The room we stayed in was “The Gables”. The room was immaculate upon arrival and well stocked with extra blankets, pillows and the like. The bed was plush, but very comfortable and not too soft. The toilet was in it’s own room connected to the bathroom which is always a win. The tile floor was heated inside the bathroom and the walk-in shower had a bench. My favorite part was the three separate shower types (handheld, wall, and RAIN) which were all able to work at full force simultaneously. Also, the location was very central and allowed me to drive to the Aquarium and Cirque Du Soleil without having to run the interstate gauntlet. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in walking distance and a surprisingly safe neighborhood. I WILL be staying here the next time I visit Atlanta. Once again, huge shout out to John and Grace Cardona for their hospitality.…
It almost seems pointless to leave yet another 5 star review. However, I feel like I must, because it was just THAT good. I decided to book on a whim - last minute for my birthday so that my boyfriend and I did not have to drive back home after dinner. Everything about the home was perfect. But what made it so amazing, was how special it made my birthday. Wine and chocolate for when we got there, a very sweet note from Barb, and a 5-star meal with mimosas for breakfast. It was so much fun to meet Barb and chat with her about her world travels. I will be back here -- despite living just 30 minutes away. Come for even just a night, as a staycation and a perfect getaway in Atlanta.
I surprised my new bride by staying in the Fowler Suite in the carriage house on our wedding night. The owners took the time to communicate and accommodate our late-night check-in. The suite is a unique two-story room with an upstairs walk-in shower and tub loft. The room decor blended from the white marble floor to the furniture and wall art to make the room magical. The following day we couldn't make it to the main house for breakfast. The staff were kind and offered to bring breakfast to our room. The multiple-course breakfast was exactly what I wanted. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay any more than we did. I'd love to come back and stay and see the beauty of the property and the other rooms.
Everything about this place was amazing! The rooms are impeccable decorated, every detail is thoughtful curated and the food is delicious. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Area is very walkable with yummy restaurants and cute shops. Highly recommend for anyone: the solo traveler, couples get away or girls trip. Can’t wait to go back!
we were very well looked after in sumptious surroundings. a most elegant and tasteful house turned in to an up market B & B The breakfast is gourmet personally prepared.. we were in the Gables , a spacious room , great bathroom with heated floor
My wife and I visited for a weekend getaway and stayed in the Fowler Suite and it was not only restful, but was an immersive experience. From John and Grace's personal touch in making us feel welcome to the beautiful suite itself this experience was one of the best we have ever had. The room was luxurious, the heated floors, towels, beautiful bath and luxurious shower were just the start of all this room had to offer. Entering our room felt like transporting through space and time to a different era. Gone was the hustle and bustle of Atlanta's endless maze of buildings and traffic and we were transported back to 1940's Hollywood. Then the divine three course breakfast Grace served the next morning was on par with the best of the best, not to mention that the fantastic company that the main house inspired created lovely friendships and conversations. We would recommend this experience to everyone, but selfishly we hope not too many find it so that we can go back and find this little slice of heaven again for ourselves!…
