We've stayed here many times for DragonCon, and we've had few problems. I've always appreciated how upbeat most of the staff seem to be about the convention, which I'm sure is quite a lot of work. The year they opted for TVA staff shirts was a real treat. They've been great hosts to the con, at least as far as an attendee can tell. (I've staffed other cons and I think you can tell when the hotel doesn't want you.) Our room has always been clean and comfortable. We generally don't bother housekeeping, but they've been great about getting us extra towels and trash bags, and removing trash if needed. Housekeeping has always been friendly and has never seemed bitter with burden. The bathrooms are a little awkward for sharing with others, but we work around that. We've eaten at High Velocity a few times and have no complaints. We do have complaints about the elevators. They look flashy, but they seem to break if you look at them wrong. Consequently, some are always down, and when the hotel is busy, it can be a nightmare to get back to your room. Also, for as neat as the hotel appears, the brown "skid mark" carpet in the public areas is hideous. It looks like smeared excrement, and deciding to add urine yellow to the new iteration only made it worse. I hope the hotel is aware that Dragon Con attendees mocked the old brown, and are having a field day with the new. Such a nice hotel can certainly do better than what it looks like when Roomba runs over the "presents" your dog left you. All in all, they changed how booking works for Dragon Con so we've given up getting past the Marriott Hunger Games and will be staying nearby instead. But we do enjoy this hotel and would likely stay here if we were in town for another reason . . . and no other major events were going on near or in the hotel.

I usually stay at Marriott hotels in the Buckhead area but I was feeling adventurous and wanted to check into the Marriott Marquis due to the fact that it is a tall hotel and I always have wanted to have a room with views of Downtown Atlanta so I made a reservation. I sent a message through the mobile app requesting a suite and I was given one right away by the friendly staff and then when I checked in on my phone and requested a mobile key to be sent to my phone so I could bypass the desk especially during COVID-19, and the mobile key was sent to my phone right away and it worked great to access my suite on 38 with amazing views of Downtown Atlanta. I requested a thick blanket and extra towels through the app as well and the friendly staff brought them to my door in minutes. The staff at this property are very friendly and considerate of the guests as the next morning several elevators were down and the staff directed guests to use the service elevators to allow better flow throughout the hotel. Staff also takes great precautions to ensure safety during COVID-19 with mask use, hand sanitising stations and staff cleaning around the hotels at all times. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have amazing views of Atlanta and be treated like a valued guest. I truly believe this hotel values all guests and they showed that my titanium status means something to them!

When using the Bonvoy App, Marriott sends you a message to register via the app and explains an electronic key will be issued. Despite registering, I did not receive a key and still had to register at the front desk. When I asked the front desk person and the person I think was the front office manager, they both seemed confused and said they did not know what I was referring to. Why register with app—seems like a pointless exercise, Marriott. Someone at the corporate office needs to educate your employees on how it works. The room was comfortable but the television picture was blurry. Went to dinner at High Velocity. I was sat in the back dining area. I waited 10-15 minutes for a server. Finally, I asked a bus boy. He asked around and came back a few minutes later and said, “we don’t know where your waiter is.” I left shortly after. I went to the front desk to relay my experience. The front desk person apologized and then placed a room service order for me, which was appreciated. When the meal was brought to my door, I learned that it was more “room delivery”rather than “room service.” The meal came in a paper bag, with a cardboard plate, and plastic utensils. The utensils were so cheap I had a hard time cutting my chicken and the food kept falling off the fork and onto my sweater, which is now stained. This is unacceptable service at a Marriott Marquis. Upon check out, the desk clerk never even inquired about my stay. The take away from my stay—Marriott Marquis Atlanta no longer offers a true “full service” hotel experience. I would look to other hotels while visiting Atlanta.

i booked a suite in the 45th floor. i was a speaker at a major conference. no phone. won't deliver wine with dinner. absolutely piss poor service. the worst i have ever seen! will never stay here again....now i was just told that they dont have the dinner that i ordered...so bad!

Right at the very moment you enter the welcoming entrance, you know you're in for a treat, the valet attendants are highly welcoming and driven to meet your needs. Right when you check-in the staff will get you there in a "jiffy," to your suite, the bar during the holiday season is the most amazing place to be alone during the holiday season. Need an event space? This is the place indeed, the property is surrounded by wonderful attractions to keep you entertained, including horse back rides, and so much more. It'll always be my go to place whenever I'm in-town on pleasure, business, and or leisure. Make this Marriott property your favorite,if you like to be spoiled, and the thrill of beautiful themes as you walk-through the Marriott Marquis. To the staff,"KEEP BEING AMAZING."

First off, TYE is a star! She is so so so kind and patient and accommodating and helpful and friendly! The whole staff is great. The view from my room was everything. The room was clean and spacious and NO critters. The food at Sear (breakfast) was so fresh and delicious. The hotel is safe and convenient to everything too.

Julia at the front desk is ALWAYS so helpful and sweet she makes the experience that much better. The views are amazing and the minute you walk in it is luxury and the restaurants located inside are great along with the location of the hotel in the city. I stay here OFTEN and I love it Evey time

I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite member with over 1800 nights in Marriott properties. Have stayed at this hotel 2 times previously and wasn't impressed at all with the service, but the exercise room is better than most and that is what is important to me, so booked the Marquis a third time. NEVER AGAIN!! Advised the hotel would be checking in at 3:00 or so assuming the flight was on time, which it was. Long line to check in at the Titanium line, no problem there at all. Once checked in the clerk asked for my cell and said the room was not ready but should be within 30 minutes. I got into my room at 6:45!! The complimentary breakfast is a great way to start the day, but it was so packed never got to use this feature 2 of the 3 days of my stay as it was over an hour wait. Realize all companies have a major labor challenge, but this hotel's service is truly brutal. Long waits for the evaluators. Room was very basic, had no clock, no water, NEVER AGAIN.............Oh I had to buy 1 basic disposable razor [ many times free] and a basic hair brush in the store $19

Wendell the Bell Attendant was great holding my bags when I checked in early and was great arranging a 4 am taxi on my day of departure. Most of the front desk staff were polite and professional. I had a fantastic view from my room on the 40+ Floor... the food served during our meetings was appealing and tasty. Do not rely on the computer near the front desk to print Boarding passes.
