Great views is about the best one can say. We were there for 3 days and the pool was out of action all the time. After a long days walk in La Alpujarra very disappointing not being able to cool down. When we wanted a cold beer the reception, bar, etc were all closed and locked. We were in the...

The hotel is at the end of a steep drive, quite far from the village of Pitres. The balconies offer spectacular views over the valley and hiking starts at the hotel doorstep. We got upgraded from a room without a balcony as we were the only guests. The rooms are barebones but clean; the beds are springs (not mattress) but...

We stayed one night here in a delightful setting in the Alpajerros. our room was very comfortable and characterful. Whilst a little difficult to find, we asked in the village and we were directed up a winding hill. Ancient chestnut trees lined our route. Our room was spotless and had a small balcony with a delightful view.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Maravedi for two nights during our honeymoon. It is not really located in Capileira but in Pitres - far up the hill leading out of town. While the location is a bit out of the way it was definitely worth it. We were the only ones there and decided to upgrade to a...

Maravedi must be one of the best spots for a group traveling to the Sierra Nevadas. The rooms have windows that open to a lovely view and the owners (Michel and Bridgette) provide lovely company and a homely environment. The hotel has a large dining room and a bar. The place is ideal for a group or a family staying...

We haven't stopped raving about this wonderful find. Only a couple of hours drive from Granada this lovely hotel in the Spanish Las Alpujarras was fantastic. The hotel is located up the back of the mountain behind the vilage of Pitres. The rooms are large, stylish and comfortable. Each room has it's own balcony overlooking the countryside. Upon arrival our...
