We really enjoyed our first stay at this smart, comfortable hotel. The hotel was spotless and the staff, particularly in the dining room were so friendly and helpful. However, the first week was surprising in that we were only 2 of 6 guests !!?? So the meal choice at dinner was restricted. The chef asked us what meat and or fish we would like him to cook fresh for us. Our second week was different as 2 large parties of Norwegian guests arrived on separate days. So as well as a few more couples arriving, the dining room was much busier and the menus much longer and more varied. The starters and main course dishes were delicious and well cooked with something for everyone. It was nice to have a free bottle of red or white wine and one of water at each table, being half board. Service was prompt and friendly. On a couple of days, we were presented with extra end of meal treats. We did find at times that the food wasn't as hot as we would like...maybe this will not be a case when the hotel is busier. The beds were comfy, the showers excellent. There is a Jacuzzi next to the heated outdoor pool, 2 shutes into the pool s and a sauna up on the 5 th floor. Evening entertainment started in our second week. Not sure whether daytime games were attended though up on the programme. There was only one English tV channel ( 4 ). A fellow guests in the second week told us how to get English language on Spanish channels showing English made programmes using the handset ( white symbol at bottom). Hopefully reception staff could give advice.Almunecar is an interesting town to explore including several museums and a fascinating ruined castle. Local cheap buses let you explore further afield. The beach is pebbly, but popular in the summer? Local cafes give free tapas with drinks purchased during the day. Our favourite was Bar San Cristobal on the seafront. Overall an enjoyable hotel which we hope many choose to visit as the season progresses. A big supermarket is 5-10 level minutes walk away, but not open on Sundays. A lot of attractions are closed on Monday.…
Just visited this charming hotel.well kept and super clean ...breakfast was plentiful and varied despite the hotel being quiet ..Staff helpful and friendly ...perfect location , close to the beach ..communal areas bright clean and functional ..Nice cafe for snacks and drinks if you don't have dinner included.it's obvious that the staff take pride in this hotel ..it shows ..book with confidence .
Hotel Victoria Playa is excellent worth for money. Situated in à calm area with cherrimoya plantages beside. 5 minutes walk to the sea. The restaurant is really good. À buffet is served for lunch and dinner. I’m really not a ” buffet-fan”, but this one is good. Great variations Everyday. The staff is professionell and very friendly.
Not a 4 star hotel at all. 3 star for room but that's it. Food on small tea plates. Most people were getting 2 plates for their dinner as plates were so small. Not able to keep any food warm let alone hot. Swimming pool tiny for size hotel. Reception staff never look up and greet you as you walk past. Hotel is clean. But definitely not a 4 star.
Excellent customer service, very good location with shops and a paradise beach near by, rooms are very comfortable and clean, internet works very well, the swimming pool has a decent size and not crowded, about food, lots of variety and excellent quaility, good shows for children and adults, me and my family had a great time here, we'll back for sure!
