We stayed only one night in the Parador at Siguenza as we were moving onto Madrid the next day. The Parador is gorgeous and a lot of work has taken place to keep it feeling authentic and respect it's past. It works well as a luxury hotel, and we stayed in a suite. The room and sitting room was spacious...

Well how about great location, views and atmosphere. The parking is on cobbles and can be outside the walls. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped. The whole place is unbelievable and a short walk from the town if you want to venture out. The food was great and the restaurant is a stunning venue.

Great breakfast. I did not eat dinner at this parador. Room had a view of the courtyard and nice balcony. Parking was limiter inside but available nearby. Close to village. Easy walk to plaza. Decent rooms. Beds are low to the floor.

Many thanks to Mr. Jose María Pérez-Reverte, Director, who carried out an improvised and marvellous VIP visit after our drink. Despite a crowdy Parador, during the Semana Santa, the feeling to be received as VIP guests. Next time we shall book and stay.

A breathtaking experience, lovely hotel, historic and beautifully converted into a parador. Definitely 5 stars. The town itself is a delight, with various dining options. There are no double beds, unfortunately, but you will understand when visiting that it would be impossible to get them through the doors. Easy parking.

The castle is marvellous but the hotel (4 stars) is very old. Central heating makes the bathroom looks like a sauna....31ºC is too much. You cannot close it. Quilt bed has two holes for its wear. The service is friendly. Breakfast buffet is variet: fruit, natural orange juice, some types of bread, sausage, eggs....

Food better than usual in Paradors, great central location, great rooms, and you are staying in a castle. It is only a short walk into a very special historic town, with ots of shops, bars and restaurants.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Parador de Siguenza is an imposing medieval castle situated in an Arab fortress built atop a Roman settlement. These are the perfect accommodations, inviting you to enjoy an ancient city, where the stones speak of history, tradition and legend. The hotel's traditional Castilian furnishings are displayed with fine taste in the spacious, welcoming guest rooms. Some feature canopy beds that will make you feel as if you are lodging in a real palace. Within the thick stone walls there is a cobbled courtyard, a stately dining room and function rooms which are ideal for meetings and celebrations. In Siguenza you will enjoy a real journey back in time as you visit the cathedral, with its famous sepulcro del Doncel (tomb of the youth), chapels and cemetery. You can stroll through historic neighborhoods, medieval Travesana and the baroque neighborhood of San Roque. There are a number of typical small Castilian villages located throughout this large municipality, where traditional customs interact with rural architecture and nature, and where ancient taverns coexist with sophisticated restaurants. You can also enjoy the city's natural surroundings. The Rio Dulce Nature Reserve, the Pinar de Siguenza (Pine Wood of Siguenza), large Mediterranean forests, holm oak and oak woods, valleys carpeted in green, home to the griffon vulture, peregrine falcon and eagle owl, all offer up a one-of-a-kind splendor any time of year. Surely you won't miss a chance to visit? ... more   less
