The hotel is quite and the staff is friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The area is quite. The old city is only a few steps away. The breakfast is sufficient and the service is fast. We got lucky with a parking on the street.
This hotel is excellent when it comes to value for money paid: it is extremely well located to the pleasant old town, has sufficiently large and clean rooms, a well-priced breakfast that gives you the right start into the day and above all: very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Upon leaving we were presented with a small box of the local red pepper condiment - something that will make us remember not only the pleasant stay in the hotel but also the entire wonderful visit to Plasencia.
I gave this modest hotel a top rating because of what it offers for the modest cost. First, you could not be in a better location: 5 minutes walk to the plaza Mayor. Second, my room was clean, quiet, my bed comfortable and plenty of hot water and wifi available. All for 39 euros. There is a flat screen small TV in the room but it only offers few and only Spanish channels. There is a pleasant bar where you can have a continental breakfast for 2.50 or a beer after a long walk. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Clean and homely. Well conditioned and rooms are comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Near to the city center. I have stayed several times in this hotel, and in my opinion it is highly recommended.
From the first minute when I called them over the phone they were attentive and approachable, the room was very clean and I had a very pleasant rest, the day after breakfast was superb and not pricey at all! Thanks for everything
Rocked up after a heafty drive from Portugal late at night with no booking and within 5 minutes I'm booked into a great room over looking the gate to the citadel drinking a good local red at €2 a glass eating local jamon and olives,gratis.... Very hospitable.....nice room, good bed, good bathroom...all-round good facilities and definitely value for money... I will make an effort to go back and do the tourist thing around the citadel...
This was a great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! Our room was very comfortable and clean with hot water for showering. It is in a great location, so close to shops and sites to see in Plasencia. It is also close to a taxi rank and not too far from the Train station. Breakfast was very reasonably priced and tasty too. Overall this was a lovely hotel to stay in. Thank you Hotel Dora!
Lovely place to be, I was only there for one night, but I can tell you, I love the location and the hotel surrounding. Very helpful staff and the room is very clean with an air conditioner. Great place to relax.
We found the hotel with no difficulty and parking was available outside in mid February. The room overlooked the street and access to the historic old town was opposite; good double glazing stopped traffic noise being a nuisance. The room itself was pleasingly plain and spotlessly clean. Excellent bathroom and shower. Receptionist spoke a little English and very helpfully found us an umbrella for an evening visit to explore the town. Delicious toast with ham for breakfast. We were delighted to find such a splendid hotel for the price and plan to return sometime.
Parking is awkward here as it is VERY near to town centre. You can park for 10 minutes to load/unload outside the hotel. Then you have to search for a space further away. They recommend parking behind the hotel, which means going up the main road about 350 metres and then retracing your steps along the parallel road behind the hotel. There is parking there but as the parallel road in much lower than the road of the hotel, there are steps to climb, which would not be good for the less mobile. The hotel is pleasant and the room was very good. You can buy a breakfast here, but the choice is limited and you would be better to eat in town, which is just metres away. We only stayed one night as there was no availability. I would have readily stayed for 2 nights, as Plasencia is a nice place and the hotel is well-situated. The road outside is very busy as it is an inner ring road (one way), but as we were not at the front we had no noise. Didn't eat there in the evening, so no idea what the food is like. This is a decent place and not too expensive (50 € a twin room per night, room only).Ther is a small bar downstairs and you can sit in there.…
