An absolutely wonderful stay in a totally delightful place. The location was simply perfect and the Hostel was clean & spotless. Super rooms, lacking nothing. Polite, patient, friendly staff completed what was a really enjoyable stay. We thought we knew Denia! We weren't even close to knowing it! This location & the beautiful streets surrounding, turned it into one of our all-time favourite stays, anywhere. Thank you Peter & Staff. Just go folks, treat yourself! 👏🏽⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏼
A friend of mine contacted me via social media when I was in Denia just before Christmas (2019). ''You're staying in a One-Star hotel?'' she asked, amazed. OK, on some websites, the Hostal Loreto on Denia's Calle Loreto (or Tapas Alley as it's often nicknamed by UK travellers), DOES possess just the one solitary star. But it should wear that star with pride - safe in the knowledge that tourists will keep coming back year after year to this friendly and ideally-located little hotel. The staff are truly lovely and the service likewise. I was given a double room with a view out onto the busy, bustling pedestrian street. Every morning, I woke to the sound of locals chatting on their way to work, or over their morning coffee. The room wasn't massive, but if I'd had a companion it would have been perfectly satisfactory. It had a comfortable double bed, private bathroom, a huge wardrobe and enough floorspace for two. The hostal has a perfectly nice restaurant, where breakfast is served with a smile each day. But it is also in the heart of Denia's culinary quarter, with a large number of places to eat within just a few hundred yards. There are also numerous bars in easy walking distance. I can't say what the hostal is like in the hot summer months. I would hope the A/C is fit for purpose, though looking at other reviews it doesn't seem to come up as an issue. But please, please, please - don't let that single star put you off if you're looking for somewhere friendly, clean, central, charming and cheap in Denia. And if you want to see Denia outside the holiday season, November's a great time to go, when it reverts to a normal Spanish town from its summer guise of tourist resort.…
Decided to book this little hotel right on Dénia tapas street on the last day of holiday. Walked in off the street and the receptionist was extremely helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. Huge bed , and the air conditioning was efficient. WiFi was excellent. Lovely breakfast the next morning. Ideal spot if you want to try the restaurants in this street and wander round Dénia old town.
A great little well serviced ,clean hotel ,perfectly positioned on tapas alley. Parking is available at a 10E day cost about 200m away, although access to parking is very tight and you need to be a good driver to get in and out. Thoroughly recommend this place. Three floors with a sun terrace with beds on the roof.
We came across this Hostal when we were staying in Denia in 2018.... Location is excellent in "Tapas Alley" - lovely old town section, small streets, white washed houses, plenty of restaurants and bars. Staff at the Hostal are very kind and helpful. We had a fantastic room, very large, looking on to a cute internal courtyard. They do a lovely breakfast for a reasonable price. Would strongly recommend it to future travellers for a location to stay.... Brilliant....love it...😃👍
We stayed for a long weekend while looking at apartments for renting for the winter months and found Hostal Loreto is a perfect location for getting to know Denia. The building has real character with a lovely central courtyard and a roof terrace. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful. The location in the middle of the old town with pedestrianised streets means using a car has challenges but the hotel has it's own parking lot 140 meters east along Carrar Loreto though a very large car might be a challenge for the streets are narrow. I would definitely recommend Hostal Loreto to anybody looking for a central hotel to see Denia town.
Lovely hotel in the famous calle loreto. Good comfortable rooms, helpful staff. Excellent place to stay in the always great Denia. We didn't use the breakfast facilities but looked good and the hotel has the best restaurants in the area very near
Our stay was very comfortable. Room on the front of hotel and didn’t find it noisy unless you’re in bed by 10pm !!! No noise from other roooms. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. All facilities worked well and WiFi was excellent. Great location and happy to recommend.
We stayed here has part of group trip for a week, the trip overall was fantastic however, staying here really wasn't for us. It's location is on Calle Loreto or 'tapas alley' as it's known locally, so perfect for all the Spanish bars and restaurants. Though we discovered many more super bars and restaurants in the Denia. The hostel is historically and architecturally important to the town has it was once a Convent. It's has a lovely courtyard, restaurant and has many rooms. We had a superior room on the second floor overlooking the Main Street. The room was basic, clean and relatively comfortable. Excellent Wifi thought. Friendly informative staff. The downside was that due to the lack of sound insulation we experienced a lot of noise from the Main Street. This is 24/7, fortunately we stayed in February so it wasn't too bad. Sure it's great staying right in the buzz of a place, but once back at base you want a bit of peace and quiet, we were frequently, randomly woken up during the night to people chatting away. Breakfast was minimal and included, orange juice, baguette toasted, jam, ham and cheese and one coffee or tea. It got pretty samey by the end of the week. We ate in the hostel restaurant has that was part of the deal too. Less said the better. Denia a lovely authentic Spanish town and I will return, just not to Hostal Loreto…
Having wanted to stay here for ages we finally booked a superior room for last night. Only €66 including breakfast). The location on Calle Loreto, the main street for restaurants in Denia old town and just 400 metres from the castle, is perfect. We were given the choice of a room facing the lovely internal courtyard or with a balcony over the street. If you want perfect quiet go for the former but for atmosphere choose the latter. It is not that noisy and the restaurants are general closed before midnight. Is this the most modern hotel? No of course not given the fact it reputedly has a secret tunnel to the castle but it has wifi and airconditioning, is very clean, has comfortable beds and is very atmospheric. The reception staff are all so pleasant and helpful and our waiter at breakfast was equally nice. We will be back for certain and book directly for the repeat guest discount.…
