Went to this so called 4 star last year in August its nice to read people were still having the same problems we had regarding wrong rooms in the annex 3 months later (joke). The annex is the only reason its a 4 star last year, I see now it's been given a 3plus the annex is out of the hotel right at the bottom across a dirt road and down another path to the annex its not even in the same postcode for a start. We never used the main hotel pool as heard that much rubbish about it being covered in wasps for the bar food ice cream was put on for kids for 1 hour a day the annex advertised a bar restaurant but when you get there the sign is covered up,the pool table is on house bricks and the pool lad goes on his break at 5.30 when the bar shuts at 6 go figure.the food in the main restaurant is what you'd expect but way worse than I've had before you could tell they were absolute beginners with all inclusive the scope of food was non existent same rubbish every day.If your not good on your legs this hotel ain't for you as its set on 4 levels so if your room is in the annex or lower hotel villas/apartments you've a good 5/10 minute walk to get the restaurant which is situated next to the main reception all up bank. The location wasn't bad but I would not choose to stay in this place again jet2 should be ashamed to of given it 4 stars in the first place.don't let the annex rooms pull you in they ain't all that I've never seen a jet2 rep so busy with complaints in all my life, every day same complaints wrong room given and it just snowballed to the point where it had gotten out of hand every person who I spoke to seemed to be in the wrong room you ha e been warned ⚠️

This is the first review I have ever left and the only reason I am writing one is to warn people how awful this hotel is! Where do I start!! We arrived late / early hours in the morning and were taken to our villa, the key didn’t work but they said to go back to reception in the morning if there is still an issue. Key still didn’t work in the morning. To add, the villa was disgusting, it was extremely dirty and completely unsafe for young children. We went for breakfast which was disgusting and then myself and my 3 children (4,6&7) waited by the pool as we couldn’t get back in our villa as the key didn’t work. My son was pushed in the pool by another child, his armbands were still in the locked villa that we couldn’t access, no lifeguard present even though there should have been!! I jumped in fully clothed to save him from drowning and then ended up having an argument with the mother of the child who pushed him, she didn’t get up from her subbed the whole time and continued to let her child do whatever they pleased. After this I went to reception and asked to move hotel due to the issues with the villa and now around the pool. We had to wait to speak to our jet2 rep later that day. Whilst we were waiting to speak to our rep we went out of the hotel and the staff said they would sort the issue of the key out and apologised for the issues around the pool with my son, they also said they would clean the villa. When we returned they had given us a plate of fruit and an apology card which. The villa was still dirty and they key still didn’t work. Our jet2 rep was very helpful and arranged for us to move hotels but we had to wait another day for this to happen. The following day whilst we were still at the hotel we went to the larger pool which is not safe for children, all 3 of my children cut their feet on the tiles around the pool which ruined their day. My partner was back and forth to reception and the room all day as the key STILL DIDNT WORK!! So they ended up giving us the master key which is extremely inappropriate as we could have accessed any room! Later on that day we were able to move hotels, the hotel didn’t want us to move but jet2 took over and said we could. The hotel tried to make us sign a document stating that the reason we wanted to move was to be with friends and family at a different hotel and not due to the issues that had gone on in the hotel. When we refused to sign the document we called jet2 and they told us to leave the hotel, which we did, then 2 staff from the hotel followed us down the road to the taxi rank and tried to get us to go back to the hotel. We refused and then they started talking to the taxi rank in Turkish which I can only assume was them saying don’t let us leave! My partner paid the taxi rank quite a bit of money to get us out safely and they did, thank goodness! However my children and I were extremely scared! Do yourself a favour and do not stay here!!

On our last day at the orka hotel... Hotel is nice villas are lovely clean and spacious. Staff are lovely well at least the ones we met. Only had entertainment once since we arrived a belly dancer who danced for about 20mins. Kids club has been closed most of the the time days it was opened kids were running in and out and running back to parents at the pool. My 7 year old grandson has spent about 20mins in kids club on one day it was opened. Aqua park closes on 15th October so can't comment on that. Hisaronu is a 10 min walk with lots of shops bars and restaurants. Food not the best I've had at an all inclusive probably go as far as saying its the worst. Same thing every day lunch and dinner. Chips every morning as breakfast option! Maybe it's because it's coming to end of the season. Pools are absolutely freezing.

Just arrived back form orka world a family of 4 with young children oldest 8 at 1st this hotel was going really well I can't complain about the food or the hotel staff the rooms was cleaned every day. I would say they should do more with the kids club may be because it was coming to the end of the season but the girls who ran it just sat there and let the kids draw. The water pack what's included was good but take money for drinks and food and the alll Inc at the hotel is only beers wine and vodka cocktails are a extra charge. But the worse bit I can say about this hotel there don't mind if they let paedophiles in. On our 2ed to last day there was a man and women takeing pictures of the kids in the pool when confronted by another women they said they want the pics I can send them to you. The lady said no this is wrong you should delete them now as they delete them they she saw there was more pictures of other kids on her phone. I went to the manger and complained about them and they said they would keep a eye on them. Then on the night they was sat at the kids disco and again was takeing pictures and videos of my kids and other people kids my wife went up to them and said delete them now and they just smiled. Again I went up to the manger and said the police need to be hear. The Management went over to the man and woman and the man said he don't know what he doing wrong. And said I will delete them so at this point the manager of the hotel knew they was takeing pictures and to me it's ok he said sorry and has deleted them. I said no this is not rignt and the police need to be hear. The manger said to me you need to carm down sir it it will be me getting arrested. We dint fell safe at all the night and the next day how can the hotel allow this to happen. Knowing there are family with young children. Can I just say the man and women who was taking pictures dint have no children of there own. If anyone dose go to this hotel just please keep your children close at all time no matter what age. Jet2 have been involved and open up a case on the hotel I would of gave this a 4 of 5 if none of that wouldn't of happend I would say the hotel a 3 star not a 4

We have stayed in the sister hotel Orka Sunlife all inclusive 3 times which was lovely but we like to go out and about so decided to stay in Orka club (now Orka world) about 4 years ago bed and breakfast, it was ideal for us with good location and transport links ,immaculate grounds and great staff. The rooms were a bit dated but they were clean and comfortable. When we saw that the Annex had been refurbished and it was going all inclusive we thought it would be perfect for us. We always go in September when it’s quieter and children are back at school as our family are grown up now so we avoid school holidays. We arrived mid afternoon and were taken to the Annex, our room was modern and spacious with 4 single beds. The balcony was huge and we had a view towards Kayakoy and amazing sunsets. We loved sitting on the balcony on an evening watching the sun go down. We unpacked and decided to have a walk up to the snack bar for some lunch as it was late afternoon by the time we were sorted. The snack bar was buffet style outdoors and it was swarming with wasps, it was awful. We were expecting to order a snack from a menu as we had in previous years. That was our one and only visit during our two week stay. We decided to eat in the hotel our first night as we were tired from travelling. It was ok, the usual salad, main dishes and desserts you’d see on offer in any other basic hotel. We weren’t offered drinks by waiters you had to go and get your own and there was no cutlery on the table which you would expect when staying in a hotel with a 4 star rating. We didn’t stay in after our meal, we went out to a lovely little bar called Karo in Ovacik owned by one of Orka’s former barmen. (Him and the old staff were a big miss this year), We stayed around the Annex pool most days, we only ate breakfast twice, lunch three times and our evening meal twice, it wasn’t bad but the menu wasn’t very varied and we were happier to go out to local restaurants. On our second night we came back to the hotel after a meal out and decided to have a couple of drinks before bed. The entertainment guy was behind the bar arguing with the girl from the entertainment. The barman tried to intervene and calm him down but he turned on the barman and they ended up arguing in front of guests and children it was disgraceful. We never saw either of them again so I presume they were let go. As I said earlier the grounds were always immaculate in the past but it was sad to see the state they were left in some days by guests that thought it was fine to throw their rubbish and empty drinks beakers/glasses down all over for the poor staff to have to clean up and the drink thrown all over the place, your feet stuck to the ground when walking up to hotel on a morning after the night before. Considering it was out of season and the children had gone back to school I couldn’t believe how many were there which wouldn’t have been a problem but some were left to run wild while their parents sat and got drunk. There are no real facilities for children and teenagers to keep them entertained. One night we were woken at 4 am by a man stomping around outside the rooms in the annex shouting for his partner for over an hour. He was so drunk he fell over hitting the wall outside our room, he was lucky he didn’t fall through the glass balcony into the pool and although there are cctv cameras everywhere in the annex, I’m sure no security came. I also think the annex is quite open so maybe it would be an idea to add some railings to the wall and a key card activated gate to make it more secure. Drink choices were very poor although I am a white wine drinker and my husband drinks beer it would have been nice to have the odd cocktail but these were all at an extra cost. They could have had a cocktail list for drinks made with the available local spirits and mixers so I don’t see why they didn’t, this is something else you would expect to come as standard in a 4 star hotel. This is also the first AI hotel I have stayed at that does not offer you pool towels. The main hotel is in need of a total overhaul as it is now very tired looking and dated, it is no where near a 4 star rating, I’d give it a low 3 being generous. The Annex room was lovely though and so were the 4 staff there. (2 maids, barman and maintenance guy) The Barmen in main outdoor bar were great too, their service was prompt and friendly and they always remembered what your drink was even though we didn’t go there very often. Would we stay there again? Only if they refurbished the main hotel to match the standard of rooms in the annex and either scrapped the AI or improved the AI to a higher standard and we were guaranteed to be put in the room we had actually booked as although we were put in the annex that we had paid for, we spoke to and saw far too many guests that either had to move after a few days or weren’t given the room they had booked at all. If it hadn’t been for the annex we could not have stayed there, there was nowhere to relax for booming music day and night either. Lastly, we did venture to the waterpark one day which was nice. We walked there instead of waiting for the hotel shuttle (took about 15 minutes to walk) and stayed 3 hours then walked back. We only had drinks there 95tl for a beer so although it’s free entry for Orka guests it would be expensive for families to go there more than a couple of times and pay for food and drinks all day so maybe food and drinks could be offered at a discounted price to guests that have already paid to stay all inclusive in Orka hotels.

Stayed in Annex swim up room .. steps to pool wobbly and not accessible , door didn’t shut safe not working.no security could just walk in off a busy main road .Should be made clear these rooms are in a totally different part of hotel not good with people with mobility issues this should be made clear a good 10/15 min walk to Main hotel all up hill which is run down, dirty and shabby, food luck warm and no cutlery more like a poor staff canteen.Reception people couldn’t careless, had to be out of our room at 12noon and no facilities were made available to use before our pick up at 10.30 for our 2am flight even got the TUI rep involved but they could sort. Luggage room anyone can access at front of hotel and not locked. Been to this area many times alway though Orka had a good reputation but sadly not at this hotel

We looked at some of the reviews for this hotel and we’re quite concerned about our visit ! BUT let me tell you this the staff really do there best for you and your needs nothing was ever a problem for them. I’m quite the fussy eater but they literally had everything you could want from tea toast, and cereal to a near enough full English in the morning to chips and curry’s in the evening. I really did enjoy the way they laid out English food but then also had there local spin on this food next to it so you could try everything ! Snacks by the lower pool from 11-5 which is part of the all inclusive package we’re chips burgers pasta chicken sausages salads the lot followed by ice cream between 4-5. The bar staff were amazing special mentions to Mehmet and Orcan who really made us feel extra special and really had a great laugh with all of us ! If you have read some of the other reviews then throw them away this was really really good and nothing is far away either we spent from 50 lira to the nearest shopping venue to 140 lira to the closet beach. Some great local restaurants around. Another special mention to who I think was the restaurant manager who took my fussy requests and helped me out where he could ! LOVELY LOVELY PEOPLE WILL 100% go back in a heart beat

We stayed from 23rd September for 15 nights. This was our first time to the Orka Hotel & waterpark and unfortunately I have to say this will be the only time too. As a whole aspects of the holiday were brilliant but too many things accumulated to make it so we wouldn’t want to return in future, this is my 3rd time to Turkey and 12th time staying an all inclusive so I’ve had varying degrees of experiences, I don’t go out expecting a 5 star treatment. I would have to rate this hotel as my 2nd least favourite up to now. Good parts - staff were friendly and really helpful as a whole, the rooms were clean upon arrival, check in was quick, few things in the room that were free like a safe, slippers, etc, there's free Wi-Fi all over the hotel, is spotty in places but overall pretty good coverage, plenty of nearby shops if you find yourself short of anything. Bad parts – when we booked the holiday it was sold as “hotel & waterpark”, but in reality it’s a hotel with free access to a waterpark located a taxi ride away, the hotel does provide a free bus transfer to the waterpark between certain times. You have to pay for everything in the waterpark as your all inclusive doesn’t extend to the park, when you arrive at the park you have to add money to a wrist band to pay for things which is a good idea, but if you use a card to put money on it you don’t get back anything that’s left on the band, pay with cash and you will get the remaining balance back. The prices aren’t overly cheap in the park, I blew through £60 on few burgers and drinks for 4 of us. Some of the park was closed for maintenance and a lot was still under construction, they are making the park considerably bigger for next season or so I was told, but as it stands after having just short of 4hrs in the park the kids were ready to leave, and they weren’t bothered about going again. The hotel rooms weren’t cleaned often enough, we were out of the rooms from around 8am-4pm everyday, I only had my room serviced 4 times in a 15 night stay. The food was OK but was hardly ever served much hotter than luke warm, and became repetitive very quickly, everything in the hotel is repeated weekly, the pool snack bar never changed. Entertainment during the day was none existent, the hotel employed 2 entertainment staff but for what reason I have no clue, they came and turned the music on at 10am and never saw them again after that until they did the kids evening disco from 9pm-9.15pm, they played the same 5 songs every night for the kids to dance to with them, then that was the kids entertainment over and the adult one began at 9.30pm for about an hour, the entertainment wasn’t bad and the female vocalist they had singing on a Friday was brilliant, but again this is repeated weekly. Nothing happens during the day, at all, was told upon booking this was a hotel with activities for all the family, clearly not the case out of the school holiday so be prepared to make your own fun for most of the time. The rooms were quite small and not divided up, 6 of us were split up over 2 rooms and both rooms just had 3 single beds in them, privacy was fun with 2 teenage boys. On a separate note too the electronic key cards they give you for your rooms are rubbish, stopped working all the time and needed to be recoded at the main reception Upon checkout I was hit with a bar bill that wasn’t mine, if you order premium drinks at the bar they just ask for your room number and sign the bill, when I challenged my charge the bill was produced and it was clearly not my signature on it which I proved to the receptionist from my driving license, she called a manager and he became quite harsh with demanding I pay the bill and was being unreasonable and wouldn’t listen to me, I wasn’t in a position to stand there and keep arguing with him as we had to set off to the airport so cleared the bill and left, be very wary of this as you could find yourself with a bill that isn’t yours with staff unwilling to help, they clearly do not have a proper process in place to make sure you don’t get charges to your room that isn’t yours!

Unfortunately since I last visited in 2019, the hotel has really gone downhill. It has now changed to All Inclusive, which seems to have resulted in a drop in standards. The food was OK. Good selection. But the drinks were very basic. Basic soft drinks. And very little spirits to choose from. And tea, coffee and water. Snacks only available one hour per day. Alongside the above, the other guests were not good. Children running wild everywhere. Drunk and swearing adults. Management and security did nothing to address this. The pools were chaos. No choice of any quiet areas to relax in during the day due to the children screaming all around the pool. Management should allocate one of the pools to adults only / children friendly. It was awful on a nighttime with the noise ans swearing. It felt quite intimidating. The annex has been revamped and is gorgeous. But the villas could do with refreshing. It's all very well being an all inclusive hotel, but every single items has been cleared out of the kitchens, so only small paper cups to make a drink in. Tv didn't work. Lamp didn't work in the lounge. The cleaners were amazing in what they did, leaving us surprises in 'towel art' each day. Also the Spa is a must visit. Best massages going!
