We stayed the Inn for Mt. Rushmore visit. Except the parking is a little tricky, the Inn is clean and good place to stay. Breakfast is good. It is close to a tiny mall. There are foods, souvenir stores. Everyone was happy to have what they wanted.

This hotel is in a great location! You can walk to restaurants , shops, and the tramway adventure. You can not walk to Mt Rushmore ( I read one review that said you could but it would be a long up hill walk). The rooms we stayed in (3 of them) all had balconies with a view of the tramway... More

The location cannot be beat with a short walk to the zip adventure across the street and to the main Keystone boardwalk. If you want a spectacular view of Mt. Rushmore you can continue on Cemetary Rd. which is the street the Roosevelt is located and from the cemetary you can see Rushmore in distance. Best view is in the... More

The location of this hotel is awesome! It wasn't as clean as I would have liked, but we were traveling with 4 teens and the loft room was perfect and priced right! The parking is horrible, you have to take a death defying ride up a blind access on the side of the hotel to the back lot - on... More

We enjoyed your description of the driveway to the parking lot as "death defying" ... and a few folks who ride motorcycles might agree with that assessment. For those who may not find your word picture adequate, the photo of the hotel on this site actually shows the driveway and a portion of the parking lot behind the building. More

Changed to this place from the Holiday Inn Express to save about $100. Property was fairly comfortable, picked this location because of proximity to Mt. Rushmore. Alpine Adventure attraction is across the parking lot. Complimentary breakfast was pretty good. Pizza place next door was average - nothing exceptional. Room was nothing exceptional - ok for one night. If you want... More

This hotel is in a great location. There is a pizza restaurant in house, walking distance to all kinds of food, entertainment, and shopping. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The only complain was the bed. It was hard and uncomfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your views. I fully understand your opinion regarding the hardness of the bed. Like most lodging properties we source our beds from a hotel supply company that offers a full range of products at various firmnesses ranging from extra soft to extra firm. Every company we have ever dealt with has suggested... More

Just ok. If I had to stay here more than one night I probably would find a different hotel. The halls smelled but our room smelled very clean. The bathroom was incredibly small and with every flush of the toilet you wonder if it was going down or going to come back up! My boys took one look at the... More

a very dated hotel, but the room was relatively inexpensive, comfortable enough, and convenient to visiting Mt Rushmore. the breakfast is very basic, but it is walking distance to a couple of places you can get espresso.

We have mixed reviews regarding the hotel. We knew it was an 'older' type hotel going into it so expected some quirks. We were on a road trip with our kids, ages 13 and 17. We booked the Superior King Room which was a very nice room, clean, and the size of it was perfect for our family. Us parents... More

Thank you for your extensive and well-written comments. I would just add that it is not our policy to end the breakfast before our guests are satisfied and I have addressed this issue with the staff members involved. That said, there are times when we are unable to renew breakfast items as the breakfast nears 9 a.m. Hot items, for... More
