This July I spend three days at the Roosevelt Inn in Keystone. The hotel is in a perfect spot in Keystone, just a couple of miles from Rushmore, across the street from a zip line attraction, has a great pizza restaurant attached to it, and it’s within walking distance of down town. The owners of the hotel were the nicest...

Looking for a place online to vacation with extended family, I ran across the Roosevelt Inn. It's proximity to Mount Rushmore was two miles, which I thought was pretty terrific, and relatively close to other South Dakota sites we wanted to visit. We based out of the Roosevelt Inn, Keystone, South Dakota, for five days. We were able to see...

One of the few hotels at Keystone available for people going to visit Mount Rushmore. We stayed for one night, we wish it had been better, but the hotel was good enough to give us a good night sleep. Breakfast was good, price was reasonable, the people at the front desk, apparently the owners, were very nice and attentive. The...

Bedrooms were good given the price point, apart from the bathrooms, which do need an upgrade. would have liked a basin in the bathroom, however, it is located in the entrance area to the room. Breakfasts was ok and the reception welcome was effective but didn't make you feel valued as a guest

Let me preface this review by saying almost all the hotels/motels in keystone are older and have seen better days. Roosevelt inn included. Having said that, if you want to stay in a nice new place you are going to pay big $ to do so. This hotel is clean and serves a nice breakfast. Their pizza place Big Time...

We had a very nice room and liked the balcony and elevator. The hotel was convenient to town and Mt. Rushmore. We also liked the room that was open for all guest, game tables, couches and large enough for a group to get together. Parking could be difficult at times. We also had some other guest saying how the pool...

Clean room and comfortable beds. Great location near Mt. Rushmore. Glass french doors between main room and bedrooms mean no privacy. No air conditioning in 2nd room. Wifi and TV a joke...cell phone reception poor. Not enough parking. Free breakfast only for junk food wheat eaters.

Thank you for your opinion which highlights some of the very points we try to convey on our own web site. Indeed, the family suite where you stayed does have French doors between the rooms. That is a design decision which, as the room name suggests, is intended to help parents keep an eye on children in the bedroom. We...

There were five of us so having a room with four beds was great. The loft area allowed for a little separation and some space. The owners were polite and helpful. The location gave us easy access to where we wanted to go. The bathroom is a little small.

The Hotel needs alot of updating. The beds were horrible and pillows were flat. Almost cut our vacation short because we didn't want to back to our room. The place smells musty and the bathroom is super small. The wifi was terrible and so was the pool and hot tub. The only good thing about this place that its in...

This is a family owned and operated hotel. I loved it! The owner was friendly and welcoming. The room was big and clean. Maybe not a luxury property, but it was a delight. I would go back there, and I wish we had spent more time in the area.
