March 2017. Booked in for dinner B & B with friends. The local 'Welsh' staff couldn't have been more helpful. Booking in was seemless with an excellent rundown of local knowledge from the porter about the transport the hotel provides to get around the village. After a couple of hours strolling round the grounds taking lots of photographs we headed...

We stayed in the main hotel and it couldn't have been better. The room was elegant and comfortable. The view was breathtaking. The staff are really friendly. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. It is an elegant and peaceful retreat within an easy drive of lots of lovely things to do. We'll definitely be back.

This is the fourth time that we have stayed in portmeirion-each time in one of the self catering cottages. This time we stayed at Cliff House with a couple of friends. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is very well equipped and has a fantastic view. The staff at the hotels are very friendly and helpful. There is...

Our second stay. The site is very different in March compared to May. Looking out over the estuary has an instant calming effect, and the spring mist adds to the tranquility. However, be aware that a lot of work is done at this time off year to prepare for summer (and it can be noisy). Food is fine dining. Delicious,...

One of our daughters had stayed here and recommended it. She thought the food in the hotel restaurant was better than some of the Michelin star restaurants in Wales. We booked a package which included a three course a la carte meal, room and breakfast. The service was exceptional from the moment we arrived at he gatehouse to the village....

This is our fifth stay at the Hotel Portmeirion. We have stayed in the hotel three times and village rooms twice now. We have usually visited as a couple. This time we visited as a family of four for my fathers 80th birthday. We booked Lower Winch which is a suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lounge area...

Occupying a sheltered fold in the stunning Dwyryd estuary, the delightful cottages range along a rocky bluff, and then spill over onto the slopes and down to the sea. Every view is a memory populated with mythical statues and architectural follies, and backed by the wooded hillside rising behind, or the bright sparkling estuary sweeping before. We stayed in one...

We spent three nights at the Hotel Portmeirion just recently and can happily report a most pleasant, restful and relaxing stay thanks, in the main, to the staff who, without exception, we found to be pleasant, welcoming and most helpful. We only dined in the hotel restaurant and found the quality of the food and menu generally to be excellent;...

This place must have one of the most beautiful locations in Britain. I have stayed here four times now and can't wait to get back. The village is beautiful and unusual, the creation of a clever visionary with a sense of humour and an appreciation of beauty. I usually choose one of the village suites, Anchor or Watch-house where the...
