We went for dinner and really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful from the minute we walked in. The lodge is nicely decorated and really comfortable. The food was excellent, there is a good range of items on the menu and it is very reasonably priced. We had smoked mackerel pate and fish cakes to start...

Stayed here with my partner on the weekend just for a little romantic get away from our working lives at home. We arrived in plenty of time before we could check in at 3 o'clock, so we decided to find something to do while we waited. There wasn't much around to do unfortunately which was a shame but we found...

Clean airy rooms, initially a bit cold. Bathroom could do with its own radiator rather than just the heated towel rail. Friendly and welcoming staff. Courtyard and car park gets a bit muddy in rains hence beware if wearing nice clothes or shoes. Wifi available in reception only, poor Vodafone and EE network indoors. Overall though nice and pleasant stay.

This is a hidden gem, with hotel standards in the informal setting of a barn conversion. It's tasteful yet unpretentious decor and the knowledgeable and welcoming staff make it a very comfortable base for a visit to this beautiful area. We received lots of helpful advice from the staff on places to see and even the loan of an OS...

We only stayed one night. We stayed in Superior rooms on a dinner B&B rate. The middle of February one cannot expect nice weather and it was very chilly. However, all areas of the hotel were well heated particularly the bar and restaurant areas. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had dinner which was very good. Breakfast was excellent....

Ideal location for a short break allowing us to visit Brecon, Hereford and Hay on Wye. Friendly, helpful staff and a very comfortable room with a decent sized bath. The food was excellent (we had an evening meal on both nights we stayed) and we will definitely visit again.

Very welcoming. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Good value for how delicious it was. Room was clean and tidy, abit small and felt a bit dark due to red paint and stone walls. Good base to stay for you journeys.

We arrived, quite a bit earlier than the normal check in time but the receptionist was wonderful, as were all the staff we met during our stay, and checked us in without any concerns or hesitation. We had upgraded to a Deluxe Room, and boy, what a fantastic room it was too, Room No.1, but with just 2 issues, which...

Thank you for your review, I am pleased that you found our staff to be wonderful as we do pride ourselves in our customer service. We had a lovely two night stay, good clean rooms, great breakfasts and a surprisingly good evening meal in the restaurant. A really good base for brecon visit. We really enjoyed our stay, a family room would have made it perfect.

Set in its own grounds with ample free parking and located at the foothills of the Black Mountains, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and breathtaking views. With its relaxing atmosphere and comfortable rooms, it lends itself perfectly for those wishing to visit the area to take part in outdoor activities or for those who just want to "get away from it all" and maybe visit the famous town of books Hay on Wye, with its antiques & book shops and its literary festival held in May, or visit the quaint market town Brecon to join in with its Jazz festival in August or walk the Brecon Beacons, then there is the Royal Welsh Show in July, in Builth Wells. The lodge has its own lounge bar, providing local and international beers and wines. A cosy restaurant with a delicious a la-carte menu serving seasonal local produce, which all makes for a great dining experience. You are welcome to join us for as long or as short as you like, we cater for individuals, parties, families and corporate groups, offering everything from budget shared accommodation through to deluxe four poster bedroom.
