Not sure the wonderful staff and good amenities (fitness facility, great breakfast, hiking handouts, no privacy, better than normal shampoo) were worth dealing with the dark, cramped tiny room with a very saggy bed, dusty upholstery and grease spotted carpeting. This may have been our room only because clearly others had much nicer rooms based on reviews..

We enjoyed our stay at the Mill Valley Inn. The layout is sort of like a multi-level motor lodge. We were upgraded two one of the two king-bed "cottages" which are really just freestanding single hotel rooms. It had redwood trees and a burbling brook right outside the door. It also had a fireplace, and a large bathroom (the room...

We decided to treat ourselves for a few nights at this inn whilst exploring the area. Very well situated in this lovely village with lots of shops and places to eat. We were greeted warmly and then made our way up to our room. The hotel had recognised our anniversary and left a bottle of prosecco and cake for us,...

I was in town for the Mill Valley Film Festival last October. The Mill Valley Inn had availability last minute and it turned out to be such a great find! Right in the middle of downtown Mill Valley, it is easy to walk everywhere - shops, coffee houses, restaurants, screenings. The inn is on a quiet street and backs to...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Mill Valley Inn for a one-night getaway to see a show at the Sweetwater Music Hall. All of the inn staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, from the person who took my reservation on the phone, to the people at the front desk, to the people stocking the breakfast...

Located in the center of the lovely town of Mill Valley, Ca is this charming little Inn. We had a comfortable room complete with fireplace and balcony - and an unusually helpful Inn employee to greet us after a delayed flight and long day. Her recommendations for a late evening dinner were spot on, adding to a visit so pleasant...

Nice location just north of San Francisco. Located in a quaint little town with a lot of nice places to eat and shop. Staff was exceptionally accommodating making our 2 night stay very pleasant. Staff gave us an upgraded room since it was our first stay, which was really pleasant. The balcony and wood stove were a nice touch.

It is a great place to stay with parking under the hotel. Our room was very cozy. We loved the balcony, but it was too cold in December to sit out there. There was a wood stove with presto logs provided. The heater was quite efficient and had to be turned off because it got very warm in the room....

Why quirky....the elevator is only accessible from the garage, the hallways are all outside, and in winter you may need a coat in the lounge. Nevertheless, it is charming, well located and with a very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious with a nice, modern bath. The decor was "distressed" and not the finest job we have seen....

The hotel is sequestered at the end of a street, offers complimentary breakfast and excellent service. Our valet/porter could not have been more friendly. We also go a walking map of the little downtown and that was helpful. The front desk agent was polite and friendly. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet. Everything we wanted.
