This elegant and historic old mansion house sits on acres of green space that insulates it's guests from the anxiety of everyday life, and surrounded us with the charm and comfort of fine southern accomadations and dining. John and his staff were welcoming, friendly, and hospitable, and the we dined in the "Castle" for a hearty breakfast, and incredible dinner....

We had booked for 1 night staying on the top floor of the historic mansion itself.Other guests in their reviews have mentioned the staff being attentive but we did not find this at all. Check In was perfunctory at best. We followed who we presumed to be the bell man in our car and once parked we got our 2...

We stayed for 2 nights wish it could have been longer. Such a fantastic place to sample genuine southern charm and hospitality the staff were very attentive and always smiling and the whole house and 40 acres of grounds are looked after so well the breakfast at the castle restaurant was very good and also the free tour of the...

We ate at the restaurant which was lovely ,food was good and not overpriced either got the nice atmosphere.5*. We were then given a short free guided tour of the downstairs of the main house which was very interesting . A good experience and as you are going to eat anyway (restaurant is called the Castle ) it's a bonus...

Dunleith is beautifully preserved and kept. It is prospering thanks to the people who care for it with reverence. Its setting somewhat back from the road increases the impression one has of its beauty. Its massive white pillars surrounds the whole building, a unique feature I found in only one more antebellum. Dunleith is set in impeccably kept grounds. The...

We had a wonderful stay at Dunleith and the rooms was excellent in every way and the staff were very attentative. The bed was a firm mattress, good pillows, a very powerful shower and very good room facilities. We walked to the Castle restaruant for breakfast (not really a castle) and it was fine again with good service. We sat...

Beautifully landscaped property set back from main road. Stunning Greek Revival architecture. Room was lovely with tester bed and period style decorations. Home tour was interesting and informative. Felt like the plantation was my own for at least the first night, as we were the only guests. Stayed in room 401 which was perfect. I tried to peak in the...

First, we did NOT stay here so I cannot write about the hotel and the rooms itself or the service of the staff. I am sure it is lovely for a hotel and place to stay while in Natchez. The house is beautiful and on a gorgeous property. This review is in regards to the "tour" of the house. We...

Mr. K Sworford gave a very history rich tour of the Dunleith. If you eat at The Castle, you can get this tour without an additional fee. Because it's still a business only the main area is open for the tour. The grounds and The Castle are well worth a visit.

Dunleith is a B&B. We did not stay or eat at the Castle restaurant, although we heard it's good. We just stopped in for a tour. It was good, but brief! Just know, you only tour the 4 public rooms downstairs and the foyer. 25 minutes maybe. That can be good, if you're not the 2 hour house-tour type. The...

We are so glad you enjoyed your tour. Our tours are shorter than most because of the B&B aspect. We consider this when setting the price for our tours, which are $4 to $6 less than the average ticket.
