What a wonderful place to stay. The staff are amazing in every department. Nice clean rooms. The food was delicious. We only planned on 1 night but the weather turned bad.. Nasty Snow storm and the owner Tom gave a discount on our 2nd night. That to me was very nice. He didn't have to do that. I recommend this...

We had reservations and arrived around 9:00pm. Check in was easy and we got our stuff and got ready to go to our room but there was no elevator so we had to drag our luggage up a flight of steps in the lobby. The room was clean and a nice size. We had no problems and it was a...

very friendly staff, a joy to deal with. rooms were clean but in need of up-grades. It is a great place for the price if you were on a hunting or fishing trip. restaurant was lacking in the necessities to complete the meals we had with no explanation or substitutions offered

Very reasonable rate for a great room with A/C and all the usual amenities. Comfortable place with a big restaurant attached. The staff at desk very knowledgeable on local attractions and recommended we make a reservation for the Western Brook boat tour to make sure we didn't miss the opportunity.

The motel is currently being renovated. Rooms that have been renovated are OK - not great, because they lack desks and lack adequate lighting, but clean and comfortable. The attached restaurant is horrible in every way. Everything is frozen, nothing is fresh. Run by a bunch of teenagers with no adult supervision. Avoid the restaurant. Both the motel and the...

Stayed here on a business trip, again as there wasn't much choice in the area. The rooms are very dated. I was in room 233, near the end of the main building. Was woken up on night 3 at 23:30 by kids getting into hotel to play knock a door run! No one gave a toss when I mentioned it...

I read the poor reviews before going and was concerned, but for no reason. It is not a chain hotel or resort, rather a Family run venture serving all forms of travelers in the area. Staff were nice, rooms adequate. I think most areas have been freshened up since other reviews. Bar now closes at midnight. A good overnight stop.

While driving up the Northern Peninsula, we saw a sign saying "specializing in seafood". With hopes of a lobster dinner or halibut steak, we decided to stop in for dinner. The restaurant happens to be a pizza delight with an additional house menu with extremely limited seafood options (approximately 3 items) consisting of fish and chips, fish chowder, and sea...

This place is the biggest dump I've ever stayed at. There was a piece of used gum on the Kleenex box in our room. The rooms are nasty. The entire place is run down. I don't think they reinvest a single dime into the motel.

The carpet in the lobby was badly stained. The hallway smelled so badly that I had to hold my breath until I got to my room. Then I gagged on the pine Sol smell in the room. They forgot to give us soap and shampoo. We would have left but the room had already been paid for. Topping it off,...
