Port Albert Inn is a gorgeous place full of charm. We were looking for a quiet, restful getaway and we got just what we needed! Angus was perfectly attentive, but also gave us space. The hot tub and fireplaces were a definite highlight. It was great to see the beach covered in snow and ice, and to enjoy Port Albert's...

My boyfriend and I stayed a week in the main inn and had an amazing time. It was my boyfriend's second time here and he loved it so much the first time that he insisted on bringing me. The inn has a certain charm, you feel like it's almost another time period when you walk in. The main floor is...

Port Albert Inn is a very quaint, quirky and cozy place to stay. We went in not knowing how our stay would be, and we were so happy we booked. Mark and Judy were both helpful, friendly and accommodating hosts. Mark, especially, is a gem. We found the Inn to be warm and welcoming with a blazing fire to greet...

My partner and I booked the "Shamrock Beach House" for ourselves and our families this summer. The link said no beach access, but not the phone we were told to ask Angus when we arrived about how we in fact could access the beach. When we asked, he informed us there was none. This is false advertising. At the very...

Angus M, Owner at Port Albert Inn and Cottages, responded to this review

We are sorry you were not satisfied with the Shamrock Beach House. The beach at Shamrock Beach is a 5 minute walk from the cottage and there is no parking at the beach. However there is access to the beach. The Shamrock Beach House accommodates 24 people but we do not let large groups of people on the beach at...

I do want to say that the person who checked us in, Angus, was very nice, helpful and knowledgable. We got some info on local sights etc. The main area is like something between a bar, dining room and lounge all rolled up into one. It's nice and comfortable and there is access to the back yard where you can...

The picture on the web site looks quaint and cozy. Looks can be deceiving. The staff was friendly and breakfast the next morning was very good. We were apparently upgraded to the suite. This is up stairs with a bedroom and bathroom across the hall. The tv was at the end of another hall and after turning it on found...

My husband and I booked a night here off of the reviews and were very excited for a cozy night away. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady who did seem a little confused about our booking. We had booked a single queen room as per the pictures on the website, instead we were given two...

Beautiful historic building, that was both warm and comfortable. We booked it on a whim, for a quick 2 day getaway and were both SO glad we did! Beautiful setting, backing onto a waterfall (which we didn't know until we go there!), a short stroll from a soft sand beach. We spent probably two hours just walking around the fisherman's...

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at the Port Albert Inn and were pleasantly surprised! When we first arrived late on Friday, one of the owners (Angus, I believe?) was extremely welcoming and helped get us settled in then showed us a map of the area and gave great suggestions of things to check out while we were there....

Looking for a place not too far from home, just a short getaway. I must say we found the best when we booked a room at the Port Albert Inn. It was a short but beautiful drive from London, the Innkeepers were great, as was breakfast & I loved the ambience and all the local history!
