I booked a standard cabin for one night, and a 24 hour hike to the icecap (with night in a tent). The boat ride to Eqi was amazing, a truly stunning experience, and we were provided with a delicious cold lunch. Upon arriving to my...More

We loved this place. The views from or cabin were out of this world!! We upgraded to the comfort hut and I would highly recommend this if it is within your budget. These rooms have toilets and showers. One suggestion for the lodge would be...More

This is a unique place and one of a kind accommodation. Choose a comfort hut and enjoy the calving glacier show with a very beautiful room with all comforts, heating and a very nice bathroom. This is like being in a 4 star mountain hut....More

A few days before taking the tour to Eqi Glacier Lodge – which is run by World of Greenland - I asked my Greenland Travel guide what the landing would be like. I was told twice “the landing in Eqi Lodge is a bit up...More

hello everybody, after reading the reviews of standard huts at Eqi glacier i think nobody has advised favourably. we are an old couple but fit to walk and move.during periods of our stay in june, 2018 no comfort huts are available. will somebody advise that coming to greenland and then not staying at eqi though in a standard hut will be ok and not repenting. already booked our flight tickets so cant change them and will have to just go for a boat tour to eqi and stay back in ilulissat. we are only worried if there are enough blankets in the standard hut to keep us warm. next is about toilets and how far are they from the cafe. do we have a heated and covered balcony in the cafe so that we can view the glacier sitting there until late evening.does the gas heater in the hut work and also can we keep it on during the night. if there are rains then how big are windows to view the glacier from standard hut.will it not be too tortous to spend the night in the hut or in the event of rains.i will be thankful if somebody can answer my questions and help me take a decision to stay in a standard hut or just have a boat tour and come back to ilulissat. thanks and regards, kiran

Booking has to be done via World of Greenland I think. The boat ride to Eqi include an hour stop at the mouth of Eqi Glacier. If in luck, you will get to see calving at a distance of 2 km. The rooms should all include... More
