I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Andaz Maui, but my experience left much to be desired. Despite its claim of being a five-star hotel, it felt more like an overpriced four-star option. While some of the staff members were friendly and accommodating, there were instances where their service fell short, leaving me less than impressed. The rooms at Andaz Maui were noticeably small and they lacked the luxurious ambiance one would expect from a high-end establishment. For the price I paid, I had expected more spacious and modern accommodations, which was a disappointment. Another drawback of the hotel was its association with the Resort Pass program. This allowed non-guests to access the hotel's facilities for a fee of $100 a day. As a result, the property often felt overcrowded, making it difficult to find a peaceful spot or enjoy a serene atmosphere. The presence of so many people not staying at the hotel compromised the exclusivity and tranquility I had hoped for during my stay. Overall, my experience at Andaz Maui was underwhelming. While there were some friendly staff members and the hotel's location was beautiful, the small and outdated rooms, intermittent service, and the presence of non-guests using the facilities made it difficult to justify the high price tag and the hotel's claimed five-star status. Very friendly, attentive staff. Resort is beautiful, rooms are nice with comfy beds and pillows. Food was very good with the exception of the breakfast buffet, which was not worth the $100 for 2 people.

I feel so violated, I don’t even know where to begin or how we will proceed. My husband and I are here for our honeymoon, and we booked one of their suits. They had sent someone down twice two repair the safe in the room that kept breaking. While we were away, the staff came into our room without prior notice, opened our safe, and took out all of our belongings. We have our diamonds, cash, and personal items in that safe. This is a felony. The front desk person was terrible, and offered us a bottle of champagne to make up for it. They then suggested we press charges on the 18 year old kid, who was advised to go change out the safe. Not to mention, if you are looking for a warm Hawaiian vibe, you will not get that here. While the grounds are beautiful, the staff seems agitated and unwilling to help. We went down to the concierge to ask about a hike that we wanted to do, and she told us that it was going to be too far to drive, and did not offer any suggestions or further assistance. Not even how to get there. We ended up figuring it out ourselves, and it was only an hour away and gorgeous. We have tipped every employee for doing the bare minimum, and all I expected in return is to be treated with kindness and respect. The housekeeping department does a terrible job. Leaves dirty towels, garbage and glassware all around the room. It kind of seems like they halfway clean our room, then stop. I can only imagine the issue at hand is with the management. I have never felt such a violation of my personal property at a resort before in my life.…

I most enjoyed the options of pools. There's a calm vibe at the adult pools, and more upbeat energy at the other pools. The grounds are landscaped well. The breakfast buffet with ocean view on the balcony is the perfect way to start each day!

We came for a day visit to the pool and were very impressed with the high end style and luxury of the hotel and pool areas. The pools are on multiple levels (infinity style and pools for day spa access) with very beautiful manicured gardens. The cabanas are spacious and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The views are breathtaking and the beach is easily accessible. There’s also a lawn nearby for luaus that utilize the sea, sunset, and views of Lanai and Kaho’olawe as unbeatable backdrops. Ideal for honeymooners or even, as we did, a base from which you can make easy jaunts to other local destinations.

This was our second stay at this property... which was 9 years after our first stay when the property first opened. I had high expectations going in... and those expectations were met and even exceeded! The property is still the most modern property and THE place to stay if you are between 25 and 40 - where other resorts on the island cater towards the older crowd in terms of decoration and amenities. Every other review raves about the food, dining, and amenities... so I'll rave about Stephanie and the beach crew team who made our snorkeling, outrigger, and beach chair set up quick and easy, the free laundry (which was clutch as we camped in Kauai for three days prior), and Caroline with Concierge who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and welcome us. We stayed here for 5 nights, having stayed at a couple of other hotels in Wailea previously. It is a lovely facility, but was a little too noisy in places for us. They do have quiet pools around the side of the hotel, but you are then away from the bars. There is some lovely plant life on the grounds. We had to move rooms, as the first room had a walkway between the pools directly outside, meaning we would have to have the blinds down all the time, plus is had no where to hang anything longer than a shirt (not sure who designed that). The room we were offered instead overlooked the carpark at the rear, so we had to foresake our sea view.

The Andaz Hotel is gorgeous! When you arrive you are greeted by bellhops and they give you a Lei around your neck. So nice and welcoming. Front desk was so professional and nice. Rooms are a little strange, the TV is in an awkward position making it difficult to get out to the balcony. Our bathroom had a tub in the shower, strange but the room was beautiful and clean. Housekeeping did a tremendous job each day. The Spa is worth every penny. Deep tissue massage was fantastic. Keanale (I know I spelled his name wrong), also known as "Sparkles" was another burst of sunshine each day greeting us down at the towel bar by the pool. His genuine kindness is something we could all learn from. Andaz is very lucky to have Kenale ("Sparkles"), he represents your hotel so well. I looked forward to seeing him each day but missed him on the day we left. The hotel offers shuttle service to restaurants and shopping. Beach is gorgeous with chair and umbrellas and the pools are meticulously clean. Ray, the manager, was extremely nice and professional. The Luau is AMAZING and worth every penny.
