Right in the forest. Room were nice. Wish we had had more time here. the staff does not speak English, so they had the owner's daughter speak to me. Adriana. And she would call to talk to me to see if I need anything else. Arranged for taxis for us. Very helpful. The grounds are beautiful. There are trails in...

Tucked away in its own ecosystem is this wonderful magical place. Rustic cabins surrounding 2 ponds give you the chance to experience nature here at its best. Our son had a great time paddling around the pond and swimming in the pool. You are lulled to sleep by the orchestra of frogs and other nocturnal sounds unique to the area....

I came to see frogs and there were frogs! Lots of them, croacking and whistling.. even a species of Poisondartfrog. Otherwise, the hotel is rather basic, service is good, but just one person spoke english, which is a handicap sometimes. It's a ten minute walk from the centre of Mindo and at night its quiet. If you're in to it,...

A beautiful spot on the road down to Mindo, cabaña-like rooms around a tropical lake. Go and find the frogs that sing all evening during the frog concert tour, very nice! The Ecuadorian owners made an effort in creating this place and they treated us very well!

Nestled in the rain-forest of Mindo, this rustic but comfortable lodge (with individual cabins and a simple but excellent menu!) is designed to fit into the natural environment and highlight its wonders ("Frog Concert"). Restful as well as invigorating, the founders were present and "hands-on" and we enjoyed discussing the history of the area and the goal of Mindo Lago...

Very quiet place, perfect to break from the fast pace city living. Cabin showers where hard to figure out (either scorching or freezing water temperatures), cleaning job could be better (our cabin had spiderwebs) and had a strong mold odor

We came to the resort in January 2013 specifically for the frog concert. My two young daughters were studying frogs in preschool so we thought it would be an exceptional opportunity to bring them to Mindo Lago. After a brief presentation (in Spanish, husband translated) we were treated to a night-time walk through the jungle in search of frogs --...

we were very welcome in Mindo Lago. The cabanas are nice. The local food is very tasting and enough. The breakfast I liked especially with fresh juice and eggs. The night tour is good with guides who know much and show you many animals like frogs, walking trees etc.

This was my second time in Mindo. Last time I stayed in a hostel for $12 and it was much better! The room at Mindo Lago cost us $75 with taxes. There was no soap in the bathroom (something which the $12 hostel provided), and the room was freezing cold and pretty run down considering how expensive it was. Don't...
