This place is awesome. The rooms made of wood have big windows that look out at the river. The sound of the river as you fall asleep is amazing. It felt like camping to hear all the noises of nature but the best part is you can enjoy it from your warm, comfortable bed. Water pressure in the shower was...

Our stay in La Casa de Cecilia, was amazing and relaxing! We go two private indoor/outdoor rooms, so it felt we was in one whit the nature. Be in bed at the nighttime listening to the river and the frogs singing and when it started to rain was a good and relaxing feeling.

The hostel is next to a small river and very close to the center of Mindo. It looks really nice. The private (bath)rooms were clean and cheap. The people at the reception weren't much there and not really welcoming, but not rude either. We didnt have mosquito nets though and the mosquitos could enter our room through little gaps in...

Couldn't have imagined a more lovely location, especially for the price. The hotel rests right by a babbling brook, and the bananas nailed to the trees nearby invite a variety of tropical birds. With quinoa burgers across the street and coffee around the corner, we didn't have to venture far for the basics. We missed out on the chocolate tour,l...

This hostel is located right at the river so it is a peaceful and pretty spot. There is seating right near it and we enjoyed sitting here and relaxing. We were disappointed, however, by the rest of the hostel. Our room was very small and cramped. It was a twin room with two large beds that left little other space...

having visited mindo multiple times, i am certain this is the best budget hostal in town (about $15 a person a night). located next to a small river, has a nice open air breakfast area where you can watch the birds and butterflies ( breakfast not included); the rooms are basic, but clean. beds are comfortable and they provide bug...

Chose a private room that also had a private bathroom. Despite being reassured there is hot water, when we wanted to shower there was none. When we complained to the front desk we were told that they are aware of this problem and we can shower in a different building. This second attempt also proved unfortunate since the water in...

Stayed for just the one night. This hostel is located right in the centre of Mindo, which was the most touristy town we visited on our Ecuador trip. This may sound bad, but it was very much welcomed to have a decent bed and warm shower. This hostel supplied both of those. A continual supply of hot water in the...

The hostel is beautifully located by the river. The village is quiet, so when you wake up early all you hear is the river. The beds are comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. They have bird-feeders on the property, so you can observe the hummingbirds in the garden. The wifi is really good.

La Casa de Cecilia is located by a pretty stream and surrounded by nature with stunning mountain views and frequent bird visits. I stayed in one of the single rooms, it was tiny but comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Only downside is the lack of privacy in the private rooms, basically a thin and see-through wall separates you from someone...
