I now have an apartment in Mindo so I no longer need overnight lodging. In the past when I stayed there, I always treasured stepping into the private courtyard and wonderng which of the one-of-a kind rooms would be mine for the night! Some days I stop in for coffee, always wonderful, and many times I join friends there at...

Very quaint and right in the central part of Mindo . Price was great and included a large breakfast. Rooms clean and nice and would definitely stay here again. They have a nice seating /reception area where you can listen to live music and just sit and have a drink. They also have a very lovely courtyard

Lovely and clean rooms in a quaint guesthouse in the center of Mindo. Quiet though. Owner takes care of everything and takes pride in his guesthouse. Local music most nights with a bar add a lovely touch.

I was going to stay for only one night and extended my stay to two nights because I felt so calm with the beautiful surroundings. The cafe is a nice warm dark-den type atmosphere, the small courtyard is full of color and tropical plants and I loved sitting there. The wifi had a strong enough signal that I could call...

This place is OK. I had a private room with a bathroom. The shower had hot water for the 90 seconds it took me to get soaped up. The bathroom is very poorly lit. The price was $30 and did not include breakfast. This was 50 per cent more than the price listed in the guidebook, and I appeared to...

I first visited Mindo years ago, when CasKaffeSu ("cas" for cascade, "kaffe" for the coffee they sell, "Su" for Sue, one of the owners). The place was smaller and less architecturally crowded than today; the restaurant was open, immaculate, and tasty (Sue was the cook; now, is a nurse) . When I visited again in December of 2014, the property...

I would not recommend staying at this location. The owner is welcoming and friendly. It is a little higher priced than other locations. What we found frustrating is that even after calling in ahead of time and arranging to be there early afternoon the room was not ready until two hours after our arrival. Washroom was small and poorly lite...

Intended to spend a night or two but stayed 3. Beautiful artistic hotel with tile floors, iron grill work and thick walls. Andean music and excellent locally-grown coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. CasKaffesu is an oasis of artistic talents and progressive thinking.

I was really disappointed with this place, particularly given the price per night. Once upon a time this place might have been nice....but now it is not. The room I was in was dark and damp with mould growing on the walls. The pillows I was given smelled like they hadn't been washed in months - disgusting. Ice cold water...

Stayed at CasKaffeSu for 3 nights, and 3 days, 2 of them having Montezumas revenge staying in the room (dont eat the corncob from across the street!). The place is very nice, staff is very friendly and rooms have everything one needs (except WiFi which is too weak inside and there is significant fungus on the walls which no one...
